My husband and I loved our stay at Sueno Del Mar! Sol was the only member of the staff we had the opportunity to interact with (just because we kept ourselves quite busy) but she was wonderful and made sure we had a great experience. The rooms had everything we needed + comfy beds and the outdoor shower was so refreshing after a long day. Lili's breakfasts were fresh and phenomenal. They had boogie boards, snorkels, books and other items available to use whenever, as well as beer and soda for purchase. Seeing monkeys in the morning was an added perk. The location is absolutely PERFECT - away from the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo but still walkable (20 min maybe?). We had a car so we drove but also ubered occasionally (less than $5 one way). Restaurants in Playa Longosta were less than a 10 min walk. The beach area in the back of the building is INCREDIBLE and private with plenty of places to relax during the day (and the most beautiful sunsets.) We only stayed 3 nights and wish it were more - we could easily spend a week here. Can't wait to go back!!

I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Sueno del Mar! Everything about it was perfect, especially the details. Sol, Chef Lili, and the rest of the staff were exceptional and made the experience so special, the accommodations were amazing and comfortable, and we loved getting to meet other travelers and observe the range of wildlife. They even went out of their way to help us book an extra night upon arrival, because we were already sad to be leaving in two days. We even recommended it to someone on our way out the door on checkout day. We will absolutely be returning!

I had my wedding at Sueño Del Mar and it was amazing! I loved the stay. Staff was amazing. Breakfast was really good. They were very accommodating for my food allergies and would make separate food for me. I love how small and personal this place felt. I will for sure stay there on my next trip to Costa Rica!

Slightly off the beaten track is this hidden gem. Step through a small wooden door into an oasis of plants, wildlife, and the sounds of the ocean waves crashing on the shore. The staff are amazing and the experience was everything I had imagined. A 3-course breakfast is made fresh every day including freshly squeezed juice, fresh fruit of the day, a cooked Mexican-style breakfast, followed by cake or pastry. A special gluten-free breakfast was created for me every day and that, even by itself, deserves 5 stars. It was delicious and varied daily. |We have stayed in many luxury resorts around the world, but this stay was one of our favorites. It felt real, reflective of local cuisine and culture, and we felt part of the habitat in a way that cannot be created. Even the occasional tropical storm was magical.

Amazing private B&B right on the beach. We loved the style, the secluded feel, and the exceptional service. We had an early morning excursion, and Eduardo had the team prepare a packed breakfast for us to take on the road. The service was unmatched and the experience felt authentic, not like a tourist trap you’d find staying in town.

Stayed here for two nights from our Costa Rica vacation and it's such a quaint and cute place, it's a Spanish style building with outside tropical bathroom and the views are so absolutely beautiful with beach front and the garden is natural, We went to the jungle and didn't see the howler monkeys but we saw so many of them at this property. The staff were so wonderful and the breakfast was the best we had in Costa Rica also. Thanks Eduardo and a big thank you to the kitchen staff and Victor.

As a wedding photographer in Costa Rica, I’m always on the lookout for venues that capture the magic of this beautiful country, and Sueño del Mar in Langosta Beach is a hidden gem. This boutique hotel is a stunning blend of charm and serenity, sitting right on the beach with views that take your breath away. Sueño del Mar is perfect for weddings, whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or a larger celebration. The beachfront setting provides a dreamy backdrop for ceremonies, with the gentle waves and golden sands creating a romantic atmosphere. For receptions, the lush gardens and cozy spaces feel both elegant and inviting—a combination that makes every event unique and special. The staff at Sueño del Mar go above and beyond to make every couple’s vision come to life. As a photographer, it’s such a pleasure to work at a venue where the team is so attentive and dedicated to creating seamless, stress-free experiences. And let’s not forget the food—it’s simply outstanding, which adds even more to the celebration! If you’re looking for a venue that embodies Costa Rica’s beauty and hospitality, Sueño del Mar is a fantastic choice.

We traveled to Sueno Del Mar for our honeymoon in April 2025. I would recommend this hotel for everyday travel or quick trips but not for couples looking for a luxury honeymoon experience, or surfers! ||We stayed in the Sasha Jr. Suite. ||OUTDOOR TOILET. Our biggest issue with the hotel was the outdoor toilet/shower. We found a whipless scorpion in our shower on our second night, the third night skunks sprayed right outside of our room. Showering and use of the toilet were not an option. If you use the restroom at all in the night and don't like bugs, you will not enjoy the outdoor toilet. They advertise an "Outdoor bathroom with Bali style showers" we found this to be misleading. Additionally, the room we booked advertised a "porch and deck with partial ocean view" There's a small deck attached to the room but it faces the back of the kitchen. I'd say this statement is a stretch. Our room was tucked in the compound with little to no ocean view. ||FANTASTIC BREAKFAST. Other than that, the hotel was great. The breakfasts were AMAZING! They were kind and accommodating and had a recommended restaurants/ activity sheet in the room. They have a guard on property who always made us feel safe, and their private beach was very relaxing, hammocks etc. The beach is public access, so you'll find locals posted up on the property for sunset, etc. ||NOT FOR SURFERS. However, the beach is rocky and hard to swim! The waves are forceful, and could push/pull you into rocks easily so we avoided. Would not let kiddos swim here freely. Low tide was okay for snorkeling but we found much better snorkeling at Playa Conchal. If you're traveling for a surf trip I'd recommend a town farther north like Playa Grande.
