very fresh flavors. food that is not slathered with cheese or deep fried - but roasted quite perfectly. great happy hour margueritas (not expensive AND not from a mix AND with good tequila.) and a noise level that is so reasonable you can actually talk without having to shout. all in all, a hidden gem at the back on an alley - worth the treck and the discovery

Great date place, great happy hour. They kept up the alter from Dias De Los Muertos, which I love! The food is AMAZING and has a smart twist for Mexican food. I've never had duck and mole and it was so YUMMY! The margaritas here are thoughtful - passion fruit and chile de arbol - what a blend. Beautiful place, smart food, great ambiance. Go here and be happy.

I have been eating at Suenos for more than 6 years now and it never disappoints. The food is always incredible and the libations are an added bonus. Perfect atmosphere for date night or a group gathering.

torres is at the top of her game, delivering excellent mexican dishes in a perfectly audible setting (i.e. not too loud and not too soft). this added a relaxing and personal touch to dinner despite the full tables throughout suenos. we really enjoyed the prix fixe chile tasting menu too, it was diverse within the cuisine and really well portioned. from a texan-raised new yorker, i can say this one is definitely worth it.

great appetizers and food generally. a couple of dishes were actually phenomenal. cocktails and bar drinks, however, were marginal, with one margarita that was down right awful. all in all, definetly a place worth returning to.

the food and drink are very good, and the atmosphere is a pleasant, downtown chic. the only upgrade needed is a broader menu. great black bean and cornbread starter!

Quiet enough for easy conversation and the organic chicken enchiladas with salsa ranchera were very good - nice, fresh, cole-slaw-type topping along with delicious corn bread.

Underwhelming and lacking favor. Disappointed by drinks and especially food. The supposedly spicy guacamole came with chillies on the side and we had to ask for habanero chillies as the 'habanero' sauce was lacking as well.
