"Bacon. Really, that’s all we need to say. If you’re looking for the best BLT in Marietta, look no further. That may sound crazy but this modern French bakery offers way more than just a delicious sweet. Breakfast is served six days a week, and you definitely want to get in your seat before noon to try one of their omelets or scrambles. In case you do miss breakfast, their lunch and dinner menus offer a great selection, as well. At GreenMellen, some of our favorites include the Veggie Sandwich, the California BLT (have we mentioned their bacon is out of this world?), and the Wrap. You can’t really go wrong with anything though! The worst part about Sugar Cakes? They are closed on Monday, which is no doubt when you’ll want that BLT." - Green Mellen Media

Today was my first time at Sugar Cakes and it was a good first experience. It was nice and clean. I order the chicken salad sandwich with fries and Cesar salad. I also had a peach almond croissant. The Cesar salad was good but over dressed and took away from the crisp romaine. I would ask for the dressing on the side next time. The sandwich was delicious. The grapes really gave the chicken salad a burst of flavor. I loved that it was on a croissant. The fries were also good and they had the perfect amount of salt on them. The peach and almond croissant was good. I loved the glaze in the croissant. I will definitely be back.

We had Sugar Cakes cater the dessert at our wedding this past April. The dessert was amazing! We got so many compliments on the dessert and it all went so fast. The eclair's were amazing and went the fastest, we ordered 600 pieces in total for 150 people. We also ordered the chocolate mousse, mango cup, berry cups, and an assortment of other desserts. Ted also created a mini wedding cake to put on top of the pastry desserts. He helped our decorators with set up and worked with our wedding planner on the day of the wedding. Most of our communication took place in person, we were able to come up with a plan for the layout and the what will be available. We highly recommend Ted's for wedding catering, absolutely incredible!

The five stars is because the server is good. My gripe is that the kitchen staff doesn’t listen to the customers. I ordered French Toast well done and my server was adamant that the kitchen will not cook them well done. He even mentioned that patrons ask for it well done all the time! If they are being asked to make them well done, why not please the patrons? No one wants soggy French Toast. I was frustrated cause all I wanted was French Toast well done. I ended up getting the French Country Breakfast which is good.

Food was pretty good. I've had better Crepes though. The toast is bland and they give weird little butter packets. Waitress messed up our check somehow and had to make 2 seperate charges which was fine. The bathroom smells like chemicals very strongly so if your hyper sensitive to smells like me don't use the restroom here.

I visited today after brunch and ordered a slice of Red Velvet cake to go. The cashier was very nice. The restaurant was packed and the food looked good. I can only review the cake today since that's all I ordered. It was the most mediocre slice of cake I've had in years. The cake had no red velvet flavor. It had the taste and consistency of a cake that was made days ago and not stored correctly. It was dry. The icing was flavorless. I paid around $13.00 for two slices. My husband didn't care for it and I didn't even finish my slice. To put it in perspective, I had a Red Velvet cake from Walmart recently. It was not good, but still better than this. I will still go back and try the food since it looked tasty and well-presented.

Google
My experience was decent, not superb. This restaurant has 0 sound buffering inside. It is small and LOUD inside. If you have sound sensory issues bring your Calmers or headphones for sure. Be advised there is Bell Pepper in the tuna salad. If bell peppers are your thing, I hope you enjoy. If you're like me and dislike the flavor, especially as a surprise in your tuna sandwich, steer clear. I'm glad I could find some healthier options; the balsamic salad was delicious. I'm sure their desserts are delicious as they label themselves a patisserie. Perhaps I will try one next time.

One of our go-to places for breakfast on the Marietta Square. Omelets, accompanied by choice of fruit cup, well-seasoned potatoes, or creamy grits, are LARGE and great. Lots of other breakfast/brunch selections, as well as some of the best croissants around. Excellent selection of pastries and generous cups of coffee. Highly recommend.

Google
GREAT FOOD and even BETTER service. Third time coming to eat breakfast here and second time being waited on by Michael. He is friendly and attentive. Food came out quick on a busy Sunday morning and was tasteful. Small restaurant but definitely worth the wait. More than just a pastry shop, great breakfast and lunch selection.

Yelp
I came here on Friday and got lunch with a family friend. We both enjoyed it! This is one of their favorite places to go. I only removed a star because the side of fruit I ordered was a pretty small portion. The breakfast sandwich I ordered was great. Our server was courteous and the food came out very fast. The vibes inside were nice. It got pretty busy around 12:30. Seems like a popular spot for people working at the courthouse to grab lunch :) I would definitely come back but would probably choose a different side next time

Yelp
Sugar Cakes Patisserie has become a regular breakfast spot for us. The ambiance of the establishment is very calm and relaxing and the food is good. Only downside is that the service is slow. During our latest outing we ordered and enjoyed all of the following: - Build your own omelette with mushroom, pepper, onion and Swiss with side of potato's and fruit - Eggs Benedict - Chocolate and Banana Crepe with fruit - Crème Brûlée French toast with potatoes Overall, the food here is always good. It is what brings us back every other week. We were disappointed with how slow service was and how some of the staff ignored us when asking for simple assistance of getting water or cream for coffee. Food- 5/5 Service- 3/5 Ambiance- 5/5

Yelp
The food was alright. The latte tasted mildly burnt. Not worth the tag given that I couldn't even hold a conversation with my table. It was loud, echo-y. The waiter also never came back after dropping off a cheesecake so I couldn't order more food. Overall no attentiveness from the staff. Not a place I would go again.

John V.

Yelp
Not worth a second visit. Prices are ok but NOT for the mediocre quality. Soup is NOT as good as soup out of the can. Good thing it's on the Marietta Square because nobody would look them up and go there..

Christie B.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant located on the downtown court square in Marietta. All of our food was fresh and delicious. My almond croissant was huge and tasty. Good service and locally owned.

Carly S.

Yelp
We went for Mother's Day brunch and it was great! We joined the online waitlist on the drive over and got seated on arrival. They even gave my mom a chocolate covered strawberry on the house for Mother's Day. Great brunch spot on the square! Lovely outdoor seating if it's nice outside.

Yelp
Sugar Cakes is Absolutely Fabulous!!! The food, and service are The Best. The owner is a "Leonardo daVinci" artist of custom-designed cakes for special occasions.

Brensi M.

Yelp
This is a cute small restaurant in Marietta Square. It is a great place for breakfast or brunch. Went there around 9 am for breakfast and got seated right away. We got lucky and found parking right on the Square but parking can be a little tricky. There is a parking lot a few blocks away from the restaurant The waitress was very friendly and got us our drinks first. Then we ordered our food and it all came out fairly quickly. The breakfast BLT was yummy we asked for it to be cut in half so that we can share the waffle and BLT. I will definitely come back here another day for breakfast.

Mark G.

Yelp
Really enjoyed breakfast here recently. I ordered the savory crepe with sausage, jalapeños, spinach and cheese. The sauce on top it to die for. It came with a very tasty and buttery croissant. My wife ordered the county breakfast and she really enjoyed it. The potatoes were well seasoned.

Ann C.

Yelp
Fantastic staff! The food was good. We had Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, Belgian waffles, croissants. Location off Marietta Square. Outdoor seating where dogs are allowed. Not so crowded you have to wait long.

Stormy S.

Yelp
This was our first experience dining here for brunch. We were a party of 8 (7 with a baby/highchair). Reservations were so easy to make, even when I had to make a small change in number. Our outside table was set up nicely, ready and waiting when we arrived, and we were seated immediately. Even while some of our party was still parking. None of that waiting until the majority of our party arrived before seating as most places do. The service was impeccable! Our server offered us water from the very beginning. That's another thing I notice most restaurants here in the South don't do. I ordered the Crème Brûlée French Toast. It was delicious! I tried some of my daughter's scrambled eggs with cheese from her Country French Breakfast, and they were just right. Everyone said their food was delicious and it arrived quickly. Checkout was easy and fast too. People say young people don't like to work, but this entire staff from the hostess to the server and bus boys were on it! Not once did our plates pile up, or did we have to hunt our server down for anything. And they were pleasant, as if they really "like" their jobs! I can't say enough about this place. We will be back. Thank you so much Sugar Cakes team!

Yelp
Owners suck and tried to intimidate me into not posting a negative review. Eggs came out wrong twice. By the time they came out correctly i was sone with my meal. I asked the owner to make an adjustment on my bill and she became disrespectful. I said i would go to the atm to to get exact cash because i didnt intend to pY for the eggs. She said I couldnt leave, i left immediately. The atm that was next door didnt woek, so I immediately returned to pay the bill and informed them I would just dispute the amount for the eggs. The owner then began pointing his finger in my face and said I better not dispute it and dont come back and I better not make a negative review. Well here is the negative review!!!! Food - french toast and mocha are delicious Customer service - wait staff is amazing. Owners SUCK!!!!!

Paige H.

Yelp
The food was fine, the atmosphere was cheap and kind of messy. The servers were kind but slow. It's small, which is fine but it's loud and the music was too loud. We went for a birthday brunch, probably won't go back for something like that. But a quick bite on The Square and this place would be fine.

Charles B.

Yelp
Everything about this restaurant is great. The food, service and ambiance. A definite go-to.

Sonya M.

Yelp
This place is pretty solid. I had the crepes, potatoes, eggs and bacon and everything was delish! The texture of the crepes was perfect and the fruit sauce made them taste oh so yummy! The potatoes are cooked with red and green peppers and onions so they were very flavorful and cooked just right. The waitress was attentive and recommended some great dishes. She also make sure my coffee was hot and the cup filled at all times. The place is clean and the staff is super nice. Service 10 Food 9 Atmosphere 9 If you are in the Marietta Square drop by and give them a try, you will be glad you did.

Yelp
Came here for book club! The interior is very typical of an American breakfast restaurant. I ordered the breakfast crepe with onions, mushrooms, ham, and Gouda cheese. Good texture and very tasty. I really liked the mushroom sauce they poured over the entire crepe. It was somewhat on the runnier side when I prefer it to be thicker. But that's ok! Still very tasty. It came with a croissant that was super buttery and flaky. Best croissant I've had in a while. Even though I thought the crepe and croissant pairing is a bit odd I liked dipping the croissant into the leftover mushroom sauce as a nice finisher. The whole dish was decently filling and nicely done! I will be back to try other breakfast items :)

Katie E.

Yelp
Sugar Cakes Patisserie was amazing! I shared two different meals with my dad so we each had a little of everything and neither of us could decide what our favorite was. The atmosphere was so welcoming and the staff was great. I would drive all the way to Marietta again just to eat here!

Tareasa J.

Yelp
This is a cute little quaint place on Marietta Square. Beware, it gets busy and it gets full. But I will say, I had one hour to get something to eat and only had a few options- so I popped in here. Is it small? Yes. Do they move quickly? Yes. In on hour, I was able to be seated, receive my drink and food order and casually enjoy my food. Didn't feel rushed, didn't feel like the quality was downgraded in order to make it in a rush. I ordered the turkey club with fries- BABYYYY!!!! It is so good. It's downright delirious and the fries were fresh and hot. Now keep in mind, Marietta Square can get busy and parking can be bad at times but I do feel like this place is worth a try. I just wish it were slightly bigger so that when people came in- they weren't watching you eat hoping they can grab your table. But again, it is a "quaint" and usually that is synonymous with small. Yelp
Here is the story my wife loves this cafe so much everyone here knows her on sight. We are welcome in as if we are family and treated as such every time we go there. They know I'll order either a eggs Benedict or a California club sandwich which I love them both never disappointed while my with orders the chicken salad sandwich or a club sandwich which both are delicious. It's a quaint cafe with a hip vibe that artisans and just plain people can enjoy. When you go there, you may feel welcomed like family yourself. I hope you do where is enjoyable place to go to.

Simone J.

Yelp
2 Stars mainly for the price and quality of food. There is just no way this French toast that I'm looking at in front of me costs $10. What's special about this bread you may ask, nothing at all. Taste like regular French toast I'd get from most breakfast joints. Not impressed but more so disappointed in the pricing. Even the side of sausage was 4.50 and a side of scrambled eggs was also 4.50. I will never have my pockets abused like this again:( Y'all, the eggs aren't even shelled eggs, they are the overly fluffy boxed type of eggs that they just poured from a container, not cracked eggs.

Aj G.

Yelp
We came here for brunch, and the food was just not as good as in our previous visits. Unfortunately, the service was lacking, too. We had a large party, and we were only checked on once during our entire meal. We spent a lot of time thirsty and needing drink refills with no waitstaff in sight. We finally had to ask the hostess to get any attention at all. I ordered the fried green tomato Eggs Benedict. It was ok, but I found a hair in my food, so I stopped eating. Another person in our party ordered the Shrimp and Grits, which looked amazing, but it was oily and flavorless. The other dishes were just ok. For the price we paid, I wish the experience had been better.

Deanna C.

Yelp
Amazing food great service Everything we ate was incredible. My husband enjoys everything he eats but this especially!

Katrina G.

Yelp
I ordered take out from this location, it was small on the inside so I was glad I ordered my food to go. I had the seafood omelette and potatoes, my food was pretty bland. The omelette was stuffed with seafood but it just really lacked flavor and so did the potatoes for me. This restaurant is downtown marietta so it's street parking, I never really have an issue with finding parking. The staff was friendly and my order was ready when I arrived. Overall, I probably won't dine here again.

Marilyn B.

Yelp
If you love eggs benedict, you need to go to Sugar Cakes! We've been coming here for a few years and my husband always gets their original eggs benedict. I usually try different breakfasts each time. Today I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict and it was so delicious! They do something special to their hollandaise sauce. It's pretty much the best we've ever had. The eggs were perfectly poached and they take the extra step to toast the english muffin which just elevates an already amazing dish. We always swap out the fruit for their potatoes. They are cooked with big pieces of onions and green/red peppers and are crispy on the outside and perfectly salted. If you have a sweet tooth, please try the cheese danish. The pastry has a sugary, crispy texture on the outside. Then you get the creamy, yummy filling. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Jen W.

Yelp
Tried the highly recommended Shrimp and Grits and wow! It was soooo good! The grits were creamy and the shrimp were big. Definitely left with a full belly! A little pricey for the dish at $16.

Yolanda A.

Yelp
Always go with your first instinct! We decided to stop here last week to check out the pastries. It's located in Marietta Square on the same block as The Strand. There is plenty of free street parking. You just gotta be quick! Lol! There is more parking by Starbucks. As we entered, the young lady at the door took our temperatures. There was hand sanitizer by the door. The young lady was wearing a mask. All positives! She directed us straight back to the pastry case. We looked over the fairly empty case waiting for someone to help us. We waited about 10 minutes. I saw one of the employees come from the kitchen. I stopped him to ask if he could help us. If he was familiar with the pastries, he said yes and before I could ask anything pointed at the lady at the counter saying she would help us. We should have left. I thought it was such poor customer service. He should have said yes but I am busy so give me a few minutes. Instead, he walked off and checked on all his tables. He then told the lady at the counter handling the checks we needed help. He could have told her enroute to check his tables. She did assist. However, she did not wash her hands or put on gloves before reaching in the case to pull out desserts. I didn't appreciate this since she had been handling cash and credit cards. I would wait a while before considering going back.

Samantha L.

Yelp
I came here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised how delicious my breakfast was! I ordered the BREAKFAST CRÊPE ($9.95) and it was very yummy! The Breakfast Crepe is a French Inspired Breakfast Pan Cake. Scrambled Egg Sautéed with Your Choice of 4 Breakfast Selections, Topped with Creamy Mushroom Sauce. My 4 choice selections where mushroom, onions, diced ham and cheddar cheese! It was cooked perfectly and that mushroom sauce was the perfect addition to this breakfast crepe! I could have done without the tomato garnish on my plate since I don't like tomatoes, but other than that, I liked my breakfast. I will definitely come here again!

Daryl J.

Yelp
Located in the Square of Marietta and great to visit as a tourist or as a local. Beautiful sit down park directly across the street if you have to wait to be seated. Customer service is very welcoming and the waiter met expectations. All three breakfast items are absolutely amazing , I recommend trying either of the three I have attached. The French toast is a great vegetarian option . In spite of Covid, they take precaution by taking your temperature before seating. I'd prefer that rather than trying to eat with a mask. The only real critique is that space is very limited and could easily be waiting awhile to be seated. I wouldn't try to eat there during peak hours . Also there is a cafe service to get cake, cookies, and to-go orders. It can get crowded easily. Parking is available In the square and paid parking garage if needed. Overall I recommend !

Nikita R.

Yelp
We found this gem today while walking around Marietta looking for a good brunch spot. It was recommended by a woman who worked downtown. She was super helpful being that we just moved here 3 weeks ago. The Shrimp and Grits were great! I had the eggs put on the side-the crème brûlée French toast was phenomenal and the white chocolate mocha was outstanding. My son got the Jr Country breakfast and Hubby got something that was basically eggs sausage and potatoes. Which he said was delicious as well. Service was great! We'll definitely be back!

Daniel B.

Yelp
Excellent brunch on the Square. Sugar Cakes Patisserie is more than just a French bakery and cafe. It's pretty much a full-service restaurant too, serving breakfast plates, crepes, Eggs Benedict, omelettes, salads, soup, quiche, sandwiches, and entrees including crab cakes and ribeye steak. Being a patisserie, they also have an outstanding selection of pastries and sweets from chocolate eclairs and lemon meringue tarts to Danishes and muffins. The bakery is located on the north end of Marietta Square, in the same block as the Strand Theatre. The business opened in 2006 and is primarily a breakfast and lunch spot, closing at 3pm everyday except Friday and Saturday evening when dinner is served until 9pm. They're closed on Mondays. The shop is clean, warm, and cozy. It can get very busy especially on Saturday mornings and Sunday (early) afternoons when the Marietta Square Farmers Market is going on. Waits aren't uncommon during peak periods. I guesstimate the interior can seat about 40-50 folks. There's additional seating on the sidewalk (and street during farmers market days) which is a fantastic place to sit during the farmers market and when the weather is nice. I've only been during breakfast/lunchtime when you can expect to spend about $7-11 each for most items. Breakfast is served until 12pm and lunch is served from 11:30am-3pm. I've had the Breakfast Quiche ($7.25) which is baked with honey ham and cheddar cheese. It's outstanding. It's savory and delicious. The crust is perfect. With Douceur de France around the corner, Marietta is home to the best quiche in metro Atlanta. Another fantastic breakfast item is the Ham & Cheese Croissant ($7.00). Along with succulent slices of sweetened ham and melted American cheese, the sandwich also contains fluffy egg. This is a tasty and filling sandwich and one I highly recommend. The fresh-baked, soft, buttery, and flaky croissant is the best part, of course -- exactly what you'd expect of a fine French bakery. My tablemates have ordered the Country French Breakfast ($7.95, scrambled eggs, bacon, sauteed potatoes, grilled tomato, croissant), Southern Hospitality Breakfast ($7.95, cheddar chive biscuit, grits, scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage patties), as well as various omelettes such as the Seafood Omelette ($11) which comes with crab, scallops, and shrimp. Everyone has enjoyed everything. They've noted the bacon isn't salty here. I'd like to try one of the aforementioned breakfast plates, Creme Brulee French Toast, or one of the Sweet Crepes next time. Some of the breakfast entrees come with fruit and bircher muesli. Fruit I've seen include sliced strawberries, purple grapes, orange cantaloupe, honeydew, and pineapple. Bircher muesli is similar to granola. At Sugar Cakes, it's served in a small disposable ramekin and consists of rolled oats in milk. Healthy. Service I've experienced has been so-so. Parking at Marietta Square is free. If there are no spots on the Square, I like to park at the free surface lot at the corner of N Marietta Pkwy and Mill St. Another great place to park is the deck on Cherokee St NE near N Park Square. It's free after 4:30pm on weekdays and all-day on weekends.

Yelp
My first time here...great customer service an was greeted very fast upon arrival...food was awesome...cool laid back atmosphere...very friendly staff...I will definitely be back for a second visit...

V D.

Yelp
Review based on UberEats order- My little order was SO GOOD! I got the Country French Breakfast... First of all- the potatoes were to die for... Perfectly seasoned! The eggs were smothered in their "fancy cheddar" and I typically dont eat eggs, but these were GOOD! And that buttered croissant was so fresh- still warm & crunchy on the out! I will definitely be ordering again!!

Marcelino P.

Yelp
Fresh and tasty food! Good ingredients quantitities. The ratio is balanced. Good services, fresh food. Overall amazing restaurant.

Stephen R.

Yelp
The food tastes like it's made from scratch and they actually know what they're doing back there. The coffee drinks are perfect and I highly recommend getting some pastries to go.

Terrence M.

Yelp
I like this little spot for breakfast and my favorite meal to eat is the New England crab cake Benedict. I came around 8am and there was no wait. Usually on the weekend theres a wait to be seated. The service was great and the servers tagged team to help each other out. I never had to wait on anything or refills because they were on it! The food was fresh and service was quick! Great start to my morning!!! If you're looking for a great breakfast place try Sugar Cakes!!!

Vishay S.

Yelp
We waited out in the cold for over 50 min to get a table when the time arrived they call and text you , I reply to the text and then they call and say we gave away you table some BS about 10 mi. Protocol , when I responded to the text immediately . Very very disappointed , #hungry #upset kids # bad bad service # bad protocol . #its cold outside #have some sense #ve nice to customers #call twice and text twice #chekc text replies

Yelp
Delicious lunch - my mother-in-law always wants to go here for the chicken salad, so good! The guys had BLTs that were triple stacked - would def recommend for a nice outdoor lunch!

Cindi F.

Yelp
Casual atmosphere with great food. Quiche & soup were both delicious! Our party really enjoyed their food. Will definitely visit again!

Eimm J.

Yelp
My first time trying for bfast and yummy'! The eggs were perfectly scrambled and fluffy. The croissant was a nice touch with bacon and potatoes. I'll will return soon!

Jeffery Tobias H.

Yelp
Never disappoints. I've been there at least 10 times it's great. The BLT is the best anywhere.

Pernille M.

Yelp
Savory crepe? Yes! Sweet, dessert crepe? YES! Amazing coffee drinks? OF COURSE! Its a shame its 25 minutes from my house, I'd go there daily.

Diamond B.

Yelp
Imagine being recommended this place by a regular. And ecstatic to go there. Upon approaching you see the food and the service seem to good. We quickly was seated and orders were placed 30 minutes later no update no food. I took a look around 4 table that came after us had their food before us. Inquired host about what happen she told me: " there's an error in the system and the tickets aren't placed in order. " I decided to cancel my order because if I never approached them we would have been sitting there without any notice of anything.

Halie M.

Yelp
My mother-in-law and I ate here for lunch on a Friday and had a wonderful experience! The servers were helpful and friendly when we requested a seat outside, our food arrived quickly, and it was all delicious! I recommend the sweet crêpes with berry sauce if you're looking for a filling-yet-light lunch/breakfast option. We'll definitely be back in the future!

Danielle B.

Yelp
Delicious food and a popular lunch spot for all on the square. Service was slow but order to food on the table was fast!

Barbara P.

Yelp
I ordered breakfast for my family through Uber eats. One of the omelette had hair it. The hair was cooked in the omelette. We called the restaurant and they told us to call u Er eats. Uber did not make the food they did. What that is telling me during this coronavirus pandemic her employees in the kitchen are not wearing hair nets to say the least. I will never order food from this establishment again.

Beverley H.

Yelp
I had been wanting to stop on the Square for some shopping since I had been visiting family in Marietta. When I drove through on the way from the post office, I decided to stop for breakfast and since it was a cooler day in the shade, I sat outside. I enjoyed scrambled eggs, bacon, the best grits ever, and coffee. It was HUGE portions and I took the leftovers home. The service was great and everyone was so friendly! It was so nice sitting outside, people and dog watching, just enjoying the day, the nice view, and a wonderful meal after being cooped up so long due to COVID! Thanks for brightening my day!

Arlanna H.

Yelp
Horrible food and service! Never received a second visit from my wait staff. Had to walk to the register to finally check out. Food was tasteless and cold. Don't waste your time. And the Manager has a horrible attitude!

Miss B.

Yelp
Love this spot . Good location , great food and yummy hot drinks . I have no complaints . It's really cute inside and cozy. Been twice in one week , plan to come once a week . I had the creme brûlée french toast and sausage both times , so good. The eggs add on was pricey, though. Visit you won't be disappointed

Yelp
Customer service: 5 stars: came 3/31/17 we were greeted upon entry, while browsing the pastries we were asked did we need any help making a selection and we were advised to sit wherever we wanted. Cleanliness: 2 stars: I didn't like how the tea's were just exposed to anyone standing around sneezing or coughing. That turned me off and I didn't want to order anything to drink. I'm trying to recall if there was water with the tea but I can't remember. I didn't like people could sit outside with their animals. I watched people allow their dogs piss adjacent to the table they were sitting at. Which sucked because we wanted to sit out side but we also didn't want to be subjected to that bacteria circus and it was too damn hot on the inside considering it was already 70 degrees outside. So we loafed around waiting on the dog people to leave because it was too stuffy inside. Mind you they had 3 dogs with them so imagine the pools behind they left behind *_* Food selection: 2 stars: the food selection imo was very boring. The pastries looked pretty but not appetizing, I could tell just by looking at them they were flavorless. Price point: 2 stars: the price points are reasonable but I like the other french place not to far from there. The portions of food is small for the price imo, the marietta local is just across the way and you get bang for your buck there. Overall: I stepped in because they were on my to do list but I doubt I would come back. It just wasn't appealing from the menu, to the pastry case, to it being hot a.f. in there, to giving this place a fair chance and being patient enough to wait 25 minutes for the dog people to leave, and the piss their animals left behind made us say not today. I wanted to like this place but we left and went to the Australian bakery across the marietta square park. Sorry guys...
