Sugar Hotel

Terrible hotel! |Secure parking is not guaranteed, only 4 spots available. ||The small room, is clearly an old massage room that has been fitted with a shower and toilet. There is no privacy in the room and hardly any space to even open a bag. |It is not suitable for human habitation. |The one small window onto the side street makes it feel as though you are in a prison cell. |The aircon was not working and they were unable to fix it during our stay. |The breakfast was of low quality and we could not eat it as it smelt like old oil. |The doors to access the balcony area were also locked after hours. So if you want fresh air, you have to go stand in the side street. |Then there is also no real coffee machine in the whole hotel not even filtered coffee.|I have no clue how this place has received so many good reviews. |The manager just replies to all bad reviews saying the person is lying. |Well in my case apparently only half my complaint was true. |I hope this atleast stops one person booking this terrible hotel. |And if the manager would like to tell me what i was lying about, that would great aswell. |

DO NOT stay at this hotel. I have no idea how it got so many positive reviews, but it was so bad, that my husband and I left after one day of a five day booking. Our room was dirty, the sheets were torn (and didn’t fit the bed in the first place), the safe wasn’t bolted down (as in you could literally pick it up and walk out of the room with it) the shutters were so filthy, when I closed them, my fingers left lines in the dirt. The carpet was stained, the sinks were chipped. The list goes on. And the worst of it, was that upon hearing our concerns, the manager was incredibly rude, aggressive, dismissive and indignant. Not only that, but he refused to give us a refund. It was so gross, that we left anyways. Consider yourself warned.

I advise book this hotel at your own risk. 1. Poor customer service they also lie it's a five star hotel it's just equivalent to a guest house. 2. Misrepresentation on the internet their have no division with toilets and bathrooms they are like prison cells. 3. They make it complicated for you to cancel the booking just to frustrate you.

I had a great experience at Sugar the view from my room was spectacular, the staff where very friendly and the space was clean and situated in the perfect location, would highly recommend

Upon seeing the small reception area and small parking, I was concerned, but what an awesome hotel. Our room was massive and tastefully furnished, the bathroom was big and clean. Thank you to the staff as well, whom I found to be very helpful. The breakfast was very limited though.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel that is in close proximity to Green Point stadium on a very trendy road with good restaurants and trendy shops. The service received was very good and the food in the restaurant for breakfast was delicious although I felt that the menu was a bit limited if I wanted a prolonged stay. The room, which to be fair was called a small room was a little bit smaller than I had envisioned with no walls separating the bathroom from the room.

Had such an amazing stay at Sugar it’s situated in the most perfect spot the breakfast was unbelievable and service was great

Had a great experience with their full body massage for my wife and I. The staff were also very warm and friendly upon entering.
