They recently reopened after a change in management and renovations. The renovations really make the place much more lively and the staff were very attentive in explaining the menu. They also offered discounts for their soft opening with more potential discounts to come for their grand opening. We had the mango shaved ice and it was delightful especially with the hot weather we’ve been having. Highly recommend and family, friends and kids looking for a place for a meal or dessert

I visited last summer with a friend who had always spoken highly of the branch. It was my first time there and the experience lived up to the recommendation. The staff were welcoming and promptly cleaned and prepared a table for us upon arrival. Although the wait for our order was a bit long, we didn't mind since we had plenty to catch up on. The desserts were beautifully presented and tasted just as good. They struck the perfect not too heavy, but still rich and satisfying. Ideal for when you're not overly full but still have room for something sweet. Ordering is done through a QR code provided at the table, which was a modern and efficient touch compared to traditional dine-in service. Overall, we had a good experience and enjoyed our time. I'd recommend going if you're in the area looking for a dessert place.

Was here with a group of 9 to celebrate a birthday. The service was great! Staff came by frequently to refill our water & were friendly (including on the phone as well when I called ahead of time). Food came out quickly & were all tasty. Definitely coming back in the future!

The restaurant re-opened after owner change and renovation. Great food for both ice and hot dishes. Services are very friendly. The inside environment is comfortable. The righ place to enjoy in summer.

Amazing desserts! Aug 3/25- big bro and I came in and since he’s a good bro he gave me 2/5 of his! Big bro doesn’t eat much so he gave me some of his strawberry ice cream so he can save room for his main course (sausages I think)

Disappointing First Visit I went to this dessert cafe for the first time and ordered a mango pancake. The pancake was filled with 95% cream, and the mango was cut into tiny cubes, about the size of a fingernail, with only 2 or 3 pieces in each pancake. They are too cheap that just add mango sauce instead of using actual mango. I honestly didn’t even know what I was eating. Such a scammer!!!!!! I couldn’t finish the dessert and definitely won’t be coming back. I’m not even interested in trying anything else.

I was so happy to hear that Sugar marmalade at this location reopened again! The new look is awesome compared to the old look! I’ve missed my Oreo pudding so much. Definitely gonna come back again!

I recently visited Sugar Marmalade, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a wonderful dessert experience. The menu is a treasure trove of sweet treats, offering everything from decadent cakes to unique pastries. I tried their signature cake, and it was heavenly—moist, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Each bite was a perfect blend of sweetness without being overwhelming. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I felt welcome throughout my visit. They were more than willing to offer recommendations, which I appreciated as it made choosing a dessert much easier. What I also loved was the cozy setup of the place. It’s perfect for a casual catch-up with friends or a sweet date night. The decor is charming and adds to the overall experience. If you have a sweet tooth, Sugar Marmalade is a must-visit! I can't wait to go back and try more of their delightful offerings. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Not sure why I rated this much lower than I normally would. Sugar Marmalade is my go-to spot for gossiping with my best friend. We order the duck wings or Taiwanese popcorn chicken and always top it off with the mango boba! I always manage to come on their non-busy days so seating is never an issue. If you want to avoid crowded times, try going during the day or the weekdays!

Yelp
Sugar Marmalade always brings back memories of Hong Kong desserts for me. There are many different kinds of desserts, including traditional and fusion. Recently, I had honeydew shaved ice with aloe, honeydew, shaved ice, and ice cream. It was good! Not too sweet, but very cold. I also had takoyaki, which was crunchy and delicious, especially after eating cold food. I saw some people ordering the waffles, and they looked really good too! Besides desserts, they also serve meals. The environment is clean and spacious, and the staff are friendly, although it seems like they only have two staff members, so they are quite busy.

Yelp
We shared the shaved ice and custom chose the flavours: got the taro shaved ice with matcha ice cream, durian and coconut noodles. Everything was really delicious - especially the durian. We felt the coconut noodles were hard to bite and break apart so next time will probably get a softer ingredient.

Yelp
The desserts were phenomenal as it was not too sweet and has a lot of tropical flavour options. The service was ok but the food was excellent and would definitely come back.

Yelp
This was recommended by my cousin, so we decided to try this place for an after dinner dessert. They do not have a physical menu to look at. Everything is online, including the ordering. All you had to do was scan the QR code on the table, and it will pull up the menu along with ordering food for your table. This was the 1st time I ordered food this way. I haven't gone to a Chinese dessert place in a long time. I usually eat the common dessert like red bean soup, mung bean soup, or even taro sweet soup, so.etbing easy to make at home for the whole family. I ordered the black grass jelly with golden sago delight. It had mango pieces that were a little sour, but the sago and sweet soup mixed was sweet enough, so it was fine. My mom and aunt ordered the taro black glutinous rice with pearl delight, which was good too. I kinda like the taro one more, not too sweet. The taro flavor mixed with the black glutinous rice was wonderful. I saw that their menu had other savory food for snack time, but we were so full from dinner and then the dessert that we so jot have the stomach to try anything else. I'll definitely come back again to try the rest of the menu.

Yelp
Sugar marmalade is a great spot for snacks and desserts! They are open pretty late and the desserts are done very well! The wait time is quite long as mentioned in other reviews and a lot of menu items are usually out of stock. Either than that the kimchi fries are so unique and you get a pretty big portion for your buck! Almost every dessert I've tried I've liked and majority of them always look like the picture that they advertise which in my opinion is a good way to run a business! I think this place could be a great hang out spot but sometimes it is super busy (wait to get in because of limited seating) and it can feel pretty crowded in there. 4/5! Ps, you can order on your phone by scanning the barcode at your table which is convenient!

Yelp
Sugar Marmalade has a wide selection of savoury snacks and sweet desserts. They really shine on the dessert front! I personally love their strawberry and matcha parfait, and their shaved ice is really well infused with a great texture (rather than just plain ice with sugary syrup). Everything else (drinks, snacks) have tended to be kind of mid. Still, this place is a convenient go-to when you're looking for a reliable dessert option in Mississauga! The hours are great and there should be something on the menu for everyone.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times and know how good the food and desserts are. The only thing that swayed me from coming back is the wait times! Fortunately enough for my partner and I, we went on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch and we were practically the only ones there. So definitely keep their peak hours in mind when deciding to come here! Like I said, we came here for a super late lunch and we were starving so don't judge because we ordered a lot LOL. We ordered the Szechuan soup with pork and rice noodles, Japanese chicken curry cutlet on rice, Taiwanese popcorn chicken, mango coconut sago pudding, and mango pancake. I've had the Japanese chicken curry before and love it every time. Can't go wrong with chicken, Japanese curry, and cheese! I wasn't the biggest fan of the Szechuan soup as I found that it lacked much flavour, just a lot of spice. However, my partner enjoyed it so it's just my personal taste. Taiwanese popcorn chicken was crispy and hot when it came to our table. It's a great appetizer to share (although you'll definitely want everything to yourself). For dessert we got the mango pancake. The pancake is more of a crepe, super light and pairs perfectly with the fresh mango and cream. A nice light dessert to finish off a heavy meal. Overall, our meal here was pleasant! The ordering system is now online but it's pretty easy to navigate. The food took a bit longer to come out but I'd say it was worth it because the food was hot and fresh!

Yelp
Highly recommend getting the baked rice dish here! We really liked it. We got the tomato base with pork chops and found it was tasty and flavourful. Also the milk tea here is surprisingly really good. The tapioca is extra soft and chewy. Also got to try the mango sago and it was really. Not too sweet.

Yelp
Food: only had bubble teas and some deserts from this place. Kinda hit and miss and definitely in an upper price range. Been to Markham, North York, Dragon City Mall and Mississauga locations, with notably Spadina and Burnhamthorpe establishments being the busiest. Slight differences in the prep of same menu item that I have noticed, perhaps due to the time of the day and how busy they were. Service ok, albeit in busy times get slower. Twice we were asked to wait outside due to the number of guests inside and the restaurant clearly at capacity. They seem to get fair share of online orders too. All in all ok place, I'm sure I will be back at some point. If you're into bubble tea, funky deserts

Yelp
Service is so bad here. Consistency is terrible too, used to be an original spot, and now it's mostly empty.

Yelp
Still the only Asian style dessert place I know in Mississauga and I found myself here again bcuz of the lack of choices. But my recent visit was very disappointing. What we ordered: Oreo Macau Pudding Black sesame Panna Cotta Fresh Mango Pearl Delight Oreo milkshake They do better with westernized dessert. So the pudding and panna cotta is ok. But the mango pearl delight was beyond disappointed. There is sago and mochi balls in along with the fresh mango juice base. However, i found uncooked sage and mochi balls in it and you can tell because they where hard and white. When sago is cooked, it becomes transparent and when mochi balls are cooked, they should be chewy. I found at least 7 uncooked mochi balls and had to spit them out, along with a handful of half cooked or fully uncooked sago. I flagged it to my server when i paid the bill as I didn't want to interrupt the good time my group was having and she said she will let the kitchen know. But serving uncooked food is unacceptable. The whole dish became very gross and i could barely eat it. I hope this never happens again. Or if you decide to eat here, pay extra attention.

Yelp
the sweet dumplings (湯丸)weren't cooked through, the taro and sweet potato delights (芋丸)in the Taiwanese Delight had a minty/perfume taste to it, and the Golden Sago Mixed (楊枝金露)did not have grapefruit in it like it should.

Yelp
My uncle took me and a few of us to Sugar Marmalade since we're always down to try new types of food and new restaurants. We ordered several different desserts and they were all delicious! They have a good mix of a variety of foods from more dessert-like foods, like ice cream, puddings, and parfaits to more savory foods like Takoyaki. Definitely get a variety of different things to share with others! I highly recommend getting out of your comfort zone to trying new foods. Asian desserts are not particularly sweet. The atmosphere and layout of the restaurant was beautiful. The night I went, there was a bit of a wait but the resturant was a good size and they were able to accomodate my party of 10 people. However, the service was pretty quick!

Yelp
Sugar marmalade is my go to place when I see my friends! They have amazing appetizers and dessert. Also pretty calm and quiet inside the place. The servers are super nice and accommodating as usual! I always go here!!

Yelp
I absolutely love love this place for so so many reasons!! Numba uno, this place is great for snacks both sweet and savory. They have a long list of items in their overwhelming menu to pick from but in my case I refuse to experiment here I love my basics which are the popcorn chicken, lobster balls, wings and their mango tapioca dessert. The popcorn chicken is fried pieces of dark meat(which I'm not too fond of) chicken topped with their special mayo, tuna dried flakes and dried seaweed with another sauce absolutely delish! Secondly this place is very reasonably priced and on average when I order a 3 apps and a desert my total generally is around $30. I have to mention their service even on a busy night which is normally every night is fast and the food is piping hot.Ambience wise I'm not a big fan of this place and therefore 4 stars..this place has bright lighting and tables are placed too close to one another. There is plenty of parking out there in the shared parking lot.I do recommend this place for these reasons and I believe it's open till 2am on weekends which is an added bonus.

Yelp
I was having a sweet tooth so we came to sugar marmalade on a weekday evening after dinner. It was a Thursday night and it was pretty busy. We had to put our name on the waitlist and wait for 5-10 minutes before getting seated. Service at the restaurant is pretty self explanatory. They give you a menu, a pencil and a piece of paper with some categories (food, drink, snack etc.) and you just fill out the form on what you want to eat & drink. Then you click the service button built in to the table and the server will come get your order form. After browsing the menu, I decided to get the fruit sago with pearls and ice cream. After a short wait, my dessert came and it was a big portion. The ice cream was very yummy and there was a variety of fruits (strawberry, honey dew melon, mango, papaya) in the dessert. It was cool and tasty and refreshing. A very good dessert that satisfied my sweet tooth! They also serve meals and drinks at sugar marmalade but I would come here primarily for their desserts, which look and taste amazing. 4.5 / 5.0

Yelp
I wouldn't say great place like I thought it would be, but a good location to hang out with friends and had a quick dessert or meal. I had the mango sago with coconut milk. Price is probably industry standard. The mango was tart and even with the sweetened coconut milk, the sourness was still evident. If you want mango desserts, go to Hui Lau Shan. If I come back to this place, I would try something else that doesn't have mango.

Karen P.

Yelp
Unfortunately, my bubble tea shaved ice tasted like water. Was expecting some sweetness & flavour, but the entire thing was a bit of a disappointment. Luckily, they refunded me. Nice staff.

Yelp
amazing dessert place in Mississagua! A big variety of all sorts of different desserts. We loved their soft tofu pudding~~~ it was a neat personal size served in a wooden bucket with sweet syrup and red bean. The warmness of the tofu pudding was just right, jiggly like pudding texture that melts in your mouth. You can add the syrup according to the sweetness you prefer. I got the taro dessert bowl that was mixed with black glutinous rice, taro balls, real taro chunks and pearl delight rice balls. The flavour was slightly plain to me compare to the tofu pudding, not a huge huge fan of the pearl delight rice balls. Aside from desserts, they also have snacks and meals too. It's like an amazing all-in-one restaurant to come if you're craving for basically everything! Traditional Tofu Pudding - $9.99 Taro Black Glutinous Rice With Pearl Delight - $7.99 Mixed Fruit with Sago Mixed Pearl Delight - $8.49

Yelp
I went there for dinner with my family and we ordered the popcorn chicken, wings, HK curry and satay beef on rice followed with desserts. I find the food mediocre for both quality and quantity. The restaurant was dirty, the floors, the plastic cups they serve water in were filthy. I couldn't drink out of the cup. We were uncomfortable dining in the restaurant. The restaurant had only 1 washroom which they also used to store there cleaning supplies and a dirty mop. It was disgustingly dirty inside. The restaurant is run down and needed better management. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Yelp
I've been to Sugar Marmalade 3 times and I love it more each time. If it were closer to my house I would definitely go more often! The dishes are very unique, and everything I've tried is delicious. I really enjoy the comfy atmosphere of the restaurant, the wide variety of items on the menu (perfect for a picky eater like myself) and the consistency of the food quality. It's a great spot to go with friends or on a date, but maybe not for huge groups, as it's not the biggest restaurant. The accompanying photos are of my favourite dishes here!
google avatar

Yelp
Service is definitely lacking in this place. All of our desserts came 15 minutes apart, which defeats the purpose of grabbing dessert with your friends. I would highly recommend working on their structure and customer service experience because the actual product is good. Unfortunately, for me I would have to have good service and quality to return so I won't be coming back. I literally had to watch all my friends one at a time eat their egg waffles lol it was not okay. Then they all had to watch me eat it. So weird. Anyways, the dessert it self was good and unique. The other tables around us had their dessert come at the same time so I think it's just the egg waffles. Maybe they only have one waffle maker

Yelp
You can almost missed it when you're driving. They are opened till pretty late at night. They are mostly packed at night. You have to wait in line aftee putting your name on a piece of paper they have. Ice shaved green tea 4/5 taste quantity 2/5 The ice shaved green tea was very small in size. I took one before and it was loaded to the top like the taro ice shaved. Looks like they cut your portion down when they are too busy. Didn't like that part. And they won't do anything about it even if you're are a regular customer. Taro ice shaved 2/5 The ice shaved didn't have any taste neither dairy nor taro taste. They hae glutinous rice balls in it. The orange and translucent balls ones. Only the ice cream had a taste. Curry chicken 5/5 I just loved it. So tasty so well marinated. Was just on point. Not spicy. Black pepper chicken cutlets 3/5 It was ok to eat. Was something different to try. But it is pretty dry to eat. They should have created a sauce to come with it. Too dry for my taste. Mango parfait 3/5 Was ok to eat. Mango was not sweet at all. Very sour taste. The black sesame ice cream I love it. Earthy taste to it.
google avatar

Kimm M.

Yelp
The food and combination is great! You have mix of both sweet and savoury. My favourite dessert is their black sesame parfait and drink wise I love the mint and lychee soda. The service was awesome and attentive! Always love going here

Yelp
Really cool spot for desserts and drinks, especially bubble tea! It's a hidden gem that we never noticed before but the food is reasonably priced and there is a good variety of sweet & savoury options. We tried the chicken wings, mango smoothies and the Oero bubble waffle in the picture. Very tasty and we've incorporated into our date nights as an alternative to other "overpriced" dessert shops like Demetres. Also love the service quality with the buzzers on the table when you need assistance or to easily request the bill. Photo taken by @CheatEatsTO, my food Instagram.
google avatar

Candice F.

Yelp
The services here was pretty good, they have buttons you press when you want service or when you're ready for the bill which was pretty convenient. The menu looked pretty good over all with lots of options. We got the curry meatballs to start our meal and then got dessert. The meatballs were not very appetizing, as they were very fatty (like 70% of the meatball was fat pieces you could pull out). The dessert I got was green tea shaved iced with red bean and that was very delicious and was a very large serving size! The meatballs were disappointing but since the dessert was so good I would come back to try out other stuff.

Yelp
Mississauga's Sugar Marmalade has horrible food quality and service... The servers got crazy attitude as if they were the customer. The almond and black sesame soup is flavourless and gritty, as if someone didn't even mix the powder with hot water properly. There were actually clumps in mine. Waffle was over cooked and hard, rather than soft. It looked nothing like it did in the photo. In addition to all of this, you need to wait to get a table... instead, I'd rather just go to Chatime next door.

Yelp
This place is opened until 1am daily and until 2am on Saturdays. It's your typical young Asian crowd so the food is more like snacks rather than full meals, although there are a couple of rice and noodle dishes. Their kimchi and Japanese teriyaki fries with seaweed and mayo on it is quite tasty and a generous portion. People come here mainly as a dessert place. They have a huge selection of bubble tea and Asian desserts consisting of many mango dessert dishes, matcha ice cream, sesame and coconut combos too. I would not suggest the fruit crepes as the insides are not fruit filled but rather just full of tasteless cream. Not what you would expect in a fruit crepe. It would be nice if they had more fruit inside the crepe or perhaps a better and more appetizing filling. This place can get very crowded and very often has a line up to get in especially during the evening hours when people just want to hang out over dessert and snacks. There is a system used there where when you arrive, you write your name down on the list with the number of people in your party. They will then call you when a table comes available. The vibe in the cafe is lively, noise level like that of a busy Starbucks and tables are small and cosy. We do like to come here especially when you feel peckish and want a casual place to chat with friends.

Yelp
Mmm this place is a decent place to grab a bite, drinks or dessert. A huge pro is that this place is opened till pretty late but it gets really busy so it's hard to find a table - especially if you have a big group of people. I've been here a few times and never sure of what I want to order. The Japanese fries and popcorn chicken here taste pretty good. I ordered Cheung fun for the first time and I'm surprised that it tasted pretty good. Soy sauce/salt could be reduced a little bit and have more peanut sauce on it (bomb sauce). This was a pretty big portion for me and I couldn't finish it (only thing I got so after a while I guess the taste for boring?). I got a honey green tea cold drink and it tasted alright. Wish it was a little sweeter. The ordering of serving was really weird. Someone had ordered dessert and a meal. They brought out the dessert first.. before the meal? We asked them to take it back and bring it out after the meal was done. I prob wouldn't plan to come here unless a group wanted to and it's a little bit more on the pricy side. There are other Taiwanese joints I would rather go to.

Yelp
I'm so glad that they've added savoury offers into their menu. Whether meeting clients or friends, I am happy coming to this place as there's something for everyone to choose from and with the addition of wifi, it's like they don't want me to leave! Only drawback is the CASH only payment method. At this visit, I ordered the popcorn chicken with rice, my friends ordered curry chicken on rice, Japanese teriyaki fries, Japanese style popcorn chicken, stewed beef with rice and for dessert we ordered frostbite taro drink, black sesame parfait, oreo cheesecake and original egg waffle. Our server was attentive and we only used the table call button once! She routinely came around refilling our water glass and asking if we needed anything, yet allowed us to feel like we could stay for as long as we want. And this evening, we stayed for a little bit over 4 hours! The food came as they looked on the menu, crispy if it's supposed to be crispy, hot if hot and plentiful!

Yelp
For a late night craving, this is a good option. They have a lot of sweet options (hence the name sugar marmalade) but also a lot of savoury options. The menu has a a variety of western and traditional dishes so there is something to appeal to everyone. They also have bubble tea options. I had the mango pudding with fresh mango. Pretty sure it was boxed mango pudding over evaporated milk topped with mango. My brother got a fresh mango juice but maybe they meant fresh out of the carton because it was a thick mango nectar over ice. Overall very blah. They only take cash/debit. A cool thing is their ordering system: you write your order on a paper and then press a button on your table to call the waiter/waitress to take the order.
google avatar

Selena C.

Yelp
They now have changed their menu, removing some drinks and adding more entree and savoury items! Loving the new change as it sets them apart from Green Grotto and Chatime nearby. Some prices have gone up though. Service is a little faster with the bell attached to the tables

Yelp
Durian dumplings, so rich ! If you are durian lover, must try :) This is my second time in this week to visit this amazing dessert place. it

Yelp
Downgrading a star because service has been so bad during the last two visit. Gave one of our dishes to another table, ended up waiting 50mins for one of our dishes to arrive. We were clearly annoyed and our server stopped checking on us/avoided our table. They did give us 10% off + a dessert to go when we were leaving but altogether it just took long. Disappointing because the desserts here are good.

Trinh R.

Yelp
First time here! So much options of a variety of items to eat for snacks, deserts, and drinks! Love their popcorn chicken!

Leah L.

Yelp
Went here after eating at a near by ramen place and it pretty quiet when we came in around 3-4pm. We were greeted by a nice waitress when we came in and there was no issues with the service for us. I can only assume when their busy that it gets really overwhelming and annoying for some people who try to get their orders in line. Anyway, the desserts were good and descent. I don't have a favorite as of yet so anything you get here is what it is. Fyi parents that there are high chairs available if you have a baby/toddler. Try not to bring a big stroller in because theres not much space to park in there. The only thing I can say is to always try to come here on a down time to avoid any issues.
google avatar

Erin T.

Yelp
Service was better than some of the people commented on here. I got the mango sundae supreme crepes, my boyfriend for banana strawberry supreme crepes, we shared mixed sweet dumplings and the mango (under speciality drinks). I am not complaining about the food except for the mixed sweet dumplings, 2 out of 5 of the dumplings tasted bad (one was too savory for my liking and another one tasted like burnt charcoal). One part I found unprofessional was that debit card machine was down for the day (we went at 7PM today) and the vicinity iPad wifi was down for the day (actually almost all the time). Not only I didn't get my points for vicinity, I had to walk to TD to get cash because there's no ATM nearby. I am not complaining about this place but there are things that needs to be tweaked out....More like they need to get their professional shit together.

Yelp
Like a lot of "dessert" restaurants, the choices are plentiful, the service is (usually) prompt and the food is almost always good, if nothing else. Sugar Marmalade is a bit of a "hole-in-the-wall" business, nestled in between a bunch of other businesses including an office supply store. Like a lot of other places in this strip mall (including Planet Hobby and Red Lobster, both of which I've reviewed on Yelp), I had no idea it even existed until a friend suggested we visit. Our first choice of venue (Chatime Bubble Tea) had a line stretching out the door, so we walked down to Marmalade and were able to quickly get a table for five. I've read some Yelp reviews that mentioned that they were ignored because they weren't Asian, but we didn't have any of those problems. Any wait times for items were communicated in advance, and the order system was easy to figure out. This place reminded me a lot of the restaurants on the Queen St. strip in Toronto, where you can step in and find a place that may not have much seating, but more than makes up for it with style and food. We started out with the Popcorn Chicken, a dish where you can taste the MSG in every bite. I'm assuming that's because of the mayo (Kewpie?), but the flavor really set it off. I went for a banana milkshake ($6) and found it quite good. Nothing over the top, and they serve it with whipped cream and a spoon, but I really enjoyed it. I was initially going to go for the pudding platter, but had to switch to the strawberry-and-banana Mille Feuille ($10) after seeing a poster on the wall for it. Having once seen a raspberry variant of this dish made in a Gordon Ramsey video, I knew I needed to finally try this dish. It's really nice and light - layers of pastry interspersed with sliced berries and bananas along with whipped cream. There was also a scoop of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce on the side. Essentially, it's an ersatz banana split. I was impressed by how light the dessert was, though if I have a suggestion for the staff, they need to serve it with a sharper knife. The cutlery they provide to eat a dish like this is way too dull, especially if you're trying to cut it with a knife. I can see why Sugar Marmalade is so popular, and I found the food and overall experience to be enjoyable. This spot has moved to a destination I need to get back to as soon as I'm able to. Recommended.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for dessert and bubble tea. Actually, I'm a sucker for food in general. What you see is exactly what you get. Drinks are on point, food is fresh and flavourful, service has always been quick and attentive. We ordered the Durian slush? Smoothie? Idk. The drink only had a life span of 5 minutes, once we realized how freaking good it was. I prefer their Taiwanese popcorn chicken over Bubble Republic and Stay Cafeteria. The mango sago with grass jelly was good - and plenty of mango chunks. They have a ton of Taiwanese snacks, entrees and desserts available. Ample seating, compared to their Chinatown location but still a pretty tiny joint. Don't expect to be seated immediately if you're in a group. Even on at 4pm on a week day, it was packed. We'll see how the standards hold up over time. Excited to see another popular joint coming into 'sauga. Definitely worth a try. Notable mentions: - free parking (since it's not the Chinatown location..) and you have pretty much the entire plaza - clean, and quick - free wifi! - delivery service available - service buzzer at each table - late hours; Sunday to Thursday 1am, Friday and Saturday 2am - not tangible for large groups - cash & debit only

Yelp
This is probably my favorite location of this Chinese dessert chain. I come here with my boyfriend all the time, and I partially blame Sugar Marmalade for my recent weight gain. So worth it though! This place is always packed on weekend nights with young people looking to hang out over desserts and snacks, but the process of getting a table is not difficult. There is a sign in sheet at the front where you put down your name and number of people in your group, and someone will come out and let you know when a table has opened up. Space is definitely limited, so I would not recommend showing up in a party of more than 4 people. The service here is barebones. The servers are always in a hurry. It's a very noisy place, so you have to be aggressive in getting what you want. Luckily, the menu explains all the dishes well, and ordering can be done by simply writing down what you want on a slip of paper and handing that paper to a server. My favorite menu items are the shaved ice and the Japanese Popcorn Chicken. The shaved ice comes in flavors such as Milk Tea (with tapioca balls as a topping), Mango, Honeydew, and Matcha (with red bean). I get honeydew when I want something extra refreshing, and my go-to is matcha, which is sure to please. The Japanese Popcorn Chicken is drizzled in similar toppings as takoyaki (mayonnaise, brown sauce, seaweed flakes), and is super crunchy and flavorful. Portion sizes are good, too. I wouldn't say this is the best place for desserts considering the service, but I will keep coming back as long as the quality is consistent.

Yelp
Note: Update is based on hot foods. You know what, I'm updating my review because I had a much better impression during my second visit! I do find the menu a bit overwhelming because it's quite extensive, especially for the array of desserts they serve. I didn't bother ordering anything that was pudding-like (sago, black rice, etc.) because last time I felt as though it was just canned evaporated milk + canned fruits. I could be wrong, but that's what I remembered based on my first+last visit. Instead, I stuck to the Milk Oolong Tea (~$5-6), which I requested with less sugar. And it was nice, subtlely fragrant, similar to Jasmine Tea, and the perfect amount of "sweetness" for me! My friend ordered the Japanese Popcorn Chicken ($8.49) and Japanese Curry Rice (~$8). Both tasted very good and at great price points! In general, the savoury foods seemed like much better value than desserts &/or drinks. I had absolutely no problem with service, after figuring out that you write your order down + there's a service bell at each table.

Yelp
Ordered through UberEats, Taste : Chicken was well seasoned and flavourful (recommend) / Taiwanese delight was too sweet in my opinion / taro red bean black pearl was just right, expected to be black pearls or boba in it but there wasn't, wasn't sure if they left out or they meant sago bits. Portion : small for what you're paying Price : $29.29 What I got : Japanese style popcorn chicken, Taiwanese delight, Taro red bean black pearl

Yelp
Would not recommend this place for bubble tea. The bubble tea here is overpriced for the size. The drinks are not cold. They serve their drinks lukewarm or cool so it's not refreshing at all. It's so bad that even their own employees don't order drinks from here. Desserts are alright though. Service here is not that great either. They ran out of one of the things we ordered on the menu and just took it off our bill but didn't tell us. We sat there waiting for so long and we were informed after we asked them that they ran out...

Yelp
Ordered 2 taro milk bubble teas and 1 oreo bubble tea from this place through UberEats. Deeply regret doing so. Firstly, my drink didn't taste remotely like taro, I even wondered if they got my order wrong. Secondly, all were wayyyyy too sweet. My drink tasted like rock sugar + water. I can handle sweet drinks, I drink sweet things on the regular. But this "bubble tea" tasted only of sugar. It looked milky but in actuality felt rough and powdery, kind of like drinking sand or maybe expired milk. Why did I pay to torture myself like this? Overall, horrible experience. Definitely the worst bubble tea I have ever drank in my life. I had a hard time finishing it off and I'm pretty sure I shaved a couple months off my life by consuming that much sugar all at once. I'm not against trying their food or bowl type desserts, but for the sake of your tastebuds don't touch the bubble tea. Personally I need some time to recover from this traumatic experience.

Yelp
I've heard about this place being a decent dessert place and was brought here by a friend to check it out. We ordered the milk toast and it was exactly as it sounds: buttered toast with a condensed milk drizzle. Presentation was simple and a little bit uninspiring. We had also ordered the Taiwanese fried chicken, which I have no real complaints about. The service was incredibly slow, as other tables seated after us were being served before us. Our server also had written down the wrong order for us and had to refire the ticket with our correct order (but not after bringing the incorrect order). The thing that bothered me the most is how visibly dusty the ceiling is. While I'm not usually a stickler for cleanliness (especially at Asian restaurants) but when you have a restaurant interior that's designed to be sleek and presentable, it's very distracting and honestly disgusting to have your black ceiling tiles caked in dust around the air vents. Even the sprinklers next to the vents were completely covered in dust. I would've hated to be sitting under those vents. Absolutely disgusting to be eating directly under that filth. Overall, food is nothing to write home about and the service and overall cleanliness of the place could use work.

Yelp
This is a great Chinese dessert place. Good variety ranging from shaved iced ( mango, green tea served in cold stone bowl , topped with ice cream n mango bits), fresh fruit served in different bases such as tapioca, crepes, parfaits and bubble tea. Traditional Hong Kong style entrees like chicken wings , pop corn chicken , beef brisket served on rice and soups. Single waitress with light green dyed hair seems not the most friendly but took our order and served us fast. We had the the popcorn chicken served on rice Mango shaved ice House special grass jelly n tapioca Water came without asking. $26.52 with tax. Only cash or debt.

Yelp
Everytime I come here, they CONSISTENTLY have bad service. It's quite disappointing because I think I'd enjoy this place and the food better if only they had the capacity to accommodate us better. Tell me how in my latest experience with them, we waited at least 30 minutes to be seated with the latter part of the wait having 3 tables perfect for our party size (4)?! When we asked the waitress to be seated (after clearly standing at the door for some time and already "checked in"), she laughs embarrassingly and says "oops, I forgot". HOW!?! I... HOW EVEN!??!??!?! I'm surprised this time around we were able to get the items we wanted becaue they usually always "run out" of everything I always want to try. Always. I come back because I have a terrible sweet tooth and its conveniently close to one of my favourite fast food Chinese restaurants on the same street. If I find a new dessert place nearby, I would be SO down for that instead.

Yelp
The staff are quite friendly, the place is clean, and the food is just amazing !! Some selection were quite out of the ordinary and authentic as they make fusion dishes. Honestly love this place. Zero complaints.
