We booked a 4D3N stay at Sugar Ohana and were consistently impressed at the quality of the service 🤩 we made the booking smoothly on Booking.com and had no issues checking in. The staff member even brought us up to our room and showed us the different facilities like the beach towels etc. The hotel staff we interacted with during our stay were all able to understand us well (English) which made it easier for us. The room was great too, being clean and comfortable. There were all the usual amenities included although they didn’t provide toothbrushes/ toothpaste and the more personal types of toiletries. We also had a balcony with a drying rack outside. We enjoyed the hotel breakfast one morning which was very yummy (a choice of different egg options and sweet options like pancakes) and they also took our coffee orders - we were very impressed by the breakfast! The next two days we left the hotel early and the hotel staff packed breakfast for us and left it outside our doors. The location was overall decent and located right next to a 7/11 and a massage place (we got a 20% voucher off for Pearl because we stayed for 3 nights). It was a little further from the beach itself though and you’d need to walk up hill a little so we ended up not spending too much time at Kata Beach. Kata is also a bit further away from Phuket Old Town and the airport so travelling in between places took longer (we did find a local bus that takes you to Phuket Old Town for 40 baht though and can be hailed from right across the street). All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much and almost wish we had been able to spend more time in the hotel/ with their sit-down breakfast!! Thank you!

Rooms were fine. Clean, provided shower and beach towels, showering soaps and shampoo, provided drinking water. I was told I would receive two connecting rooms as I was traveling with young children. Instead, I was provided two rooms on two separate floors. they were able to change it to two rooms on the same floor after I made a stink but would not supply connecting rooms as promised, nor give a refund or discount due to NOT delivering what was promised. As stated in many reviews, the room above the street was very loud. AC in 2nd room only cooled room to approx 25* C even when set much cooler.

I spent about 2 nights at here and everything was almost perfect. The room was clean and they also provide hairdryer. The staff were polite and friendly. This hotel also provided an optional breakfast for vegan. I think it was the hotel that perfect for location in both kata beach and night markets. However, my room was located on second floor and had a road view. So, I had to carry my luggage to the small step ladder and sometime heard the noises during at night.

The room was lovely and clean with lots of amenities (shower soaps, kettle, beach bag etc.) The staff are just so kind and welcoming. They made us feel so at home, literally every single staff member we came across was amazing. The included breakfast had lots of options and was really delicious. It is in a good area, close to the beach (maybe 10 min walk) and sort of between Kata and Karon so you can get explore both. Would definitely stay again.

Great place super close to Kata Beach. Super polite and friendly staff. The room was weary clean, great, new bathroom and the best shower I’ve had in Thailand after 2 weeks. The breakfast was resturant-level and amazing coffee. If I ever go back, I would most definitely stay here!

The place is absolutely fantastic! It's a truly luxurious hostel, as the term 'Poshtel' is a blend of 'posh' (meaning luxurious) and 'hostel'. It's so lovely, it's almost like staying in a modest hotel. ||Upon check-in, we were provided with discount vouchers for the adjacent massage parlor. ||The staff are always smiling and greet you warmly every time you see them. ||The breakfast is simple yet delicious, with a variety of options like peanut butter, jam, toast, and biscuits. We were impressed by the high quality of many of the breakfast items. ||The hostel is situated on Kata Road, and its location is perfect as it's surrounded by everything you might need and is close to both Karon Beach and Kata Beach. ||The bathrooms are clean and the air conditioning is excellent. An iron is available upon request, and you can borrow umbrellas from them if you want to go out and return them later. ||We noticed that most of the furniture is from IKEA, which adds to the modern and comfortable feel. ||Note: There is no elevator, and since the hostel overlooks a busy street, you might hear the sound of motorbikes at night. However, this didn't bother us at all.|Thank you to the wonderful staff member "Peach ka" and the kind staff member "Aun" for their endless help. ||We checked out at 12:30 PM and left our luggage with them to go do some activities, then returned to pick it up at 11:00 PM. ||Hotel Rating:|Comfort and Services: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5|Cleanliness: 5/5|Value for money: 4.5/5|Overall rating: 4.9/5 ||Thank you, "Sugar Ohana Poshtel".

Pros: - Clean and extremely worth it for the price - Price includes yummy breakfast - They have everything prepares for a beach-goer in mind (such as beach bag, shower gel, beach towel) - They provide shampoo, body soap and conditioner - Water heater and flow is good - Pharmacy downstairs has everything you might need Cons: - No lifts and the stairs has no railings, not so good if you have elderly travelling with you - Door lock is still via key, can upgrade to electronic - Book 3 nights and above get voucher to the massage place called Pearl just beside the hotel. - they can just fix an auto close for the lobby door as guests will leave it open, such a hassle to close it everytime it opens - Their toilet door is really hard to open/close - Aircon super noisy when it's on high power.

The hotel is located in the lively part of the city and it is about a 10 (at most 15) minute walk to kata beach. There are lots of stores, restaurants along the way. All the staff were very lovely!! Took care of us until we got settled into our room and even wished us goodnight lol. Breakfast is great. You can choose which sides you want, coffee, and there a bunch of others as well like toast or pancakes. There's a space you can relax at and take pictures. And it has a guitar which is missing the high e-string, but it was in tune and you could definitely still play it.🙂‍↕️The ambiance of the whole place is really nice. Beautifully decorated with a cozy atmosphere. My room was nice. They provide you with a hair blow dryer and amenities. Also has a kettle as well so you could definitely eat instant noodles if you wanted. They also give you towels you could take with you to the beach. The bathroom is well ventilated. Security is great, only guests with the hotel keycard can enter. The stairs may be a but steep and confusing but it should not be hard to navigate with the staff guiding you to your room. Overall I would say this was a great experience. The only thing you might have to worry about is parking space if you rented a car/ came by car, but if you rented a motorbike there's plenty of space for you.
