Suggestion Gourmet French Restaurant Breakfast-Diner

My husband did some research on a Gourmet French Restaurant in Caye Caulker, and we decided to give it a try. We started with some complimentary bread served with a delicious spread made of herbs, avocado, garlic, and balsamic vinegar. For my smoothie, I chose the "Everything" blend, which included papaya, mango, pineapple, and I’m forgetting the last ingredient haha! For our main dishes, I had the shrimp pesto pasta, while my husband enjoyed the meat lovers' pizza. We also tried the frozen nougat, which was truly unique, and we both loved it. The place is spacious, but since it rained before dinner, the indoor seating felt a bit cramped. I imagine it would be much more beautiful and enjoyable in the sun! Still, the atmosphere was romantic and cozy, and the server was absolutely hilarious! He took a selfie before he humorously captured our delicious food for us.

Ordered the veggie pesto pasta, server brought me shrimp pesto pasta.It took forever to get the first order & had to wait again for the right order. * pasta was actually really good, on the smaller side for portion, however, for price. Plus points for vegan option. I also ordered the sourdough loaf to go. definitely not sourdough from the states more like wheat bread. Was really hard to find, behind a house, very small sign passed 4x before finding it. Cute more jungle atmosphere.

Great atmosphere in their tropical garden alive with birds and geckos, a wonderful morning spot. Best bread on the island .. we had the croque family (M et Madame) and they were good. Because the bread is home made sourdough it’s nice and dense, but a bit of work to cut through. They were out of fresh OJ so opted for banana and papaya shakes…which were very good. Left very full.. no lunch today. They say you pay for quality and that is true here, the most expensive breakfast of our stay on Caye Caulker.

Suggestion Gourmet restaurant is tucked away on a side street close to the Cay Caulker airport. It is well worth a visit! We enjoyed a wonderful meal sitting out on a beautifully landscaped deck. The service was great and the food was delicious. We highly recommend Suggestion Gourmet!

A nice French Cafe. We've been twice for breakfast. We've had lattes and cappuccino, both of which were excellent. We also had French toast(pictured), ham and cheese croissant, croquet madame (pictured), smoothie bowl (pictured),and chocolate croissants. All were excellent. Service was great, but understand food is served at Caribbean speed.

Our favorite breakfast spot in Caye caulker. The food, atmosphere and wait staff all wonderful. We really enjoyed getting to know Paul and practice our French. The croissants are the best I’ve had. Hidden gem!

The food is excellent — divine pastries, French toast from their scratch bread, lasagna, and the best pizza on the island. But it’s the setting that really sets this place apart. Dine on a lovely deck under a canopy of orchid-filled trees. Lovely at breakfast, with hummingbirds darting about, and stunning in the evening under glow of lights strung through the trees.

A hidden paradise. I highly recommend eating there. We already plan to stop for pizza in a few days. If you are using Google maps make sure you are on the correct street. Our locator sent us down around the back.
