Lovely food and atmosphere! My friend and I stayed at the Airbnb tucked just behind Suggestion Gourmet Restaurant and we felt so spoiled to dine here frequently during our stay. The outdoor seating is shaded and beautiful. The server Paul and chef Alfredo were both kind and helpful. I recommend the crepes for breakfast (I got chocolate and strawberry) and the shrimp pesto pasta for dinner. The cocktails were delicious, and they even sent me with bread and butter to take to my friend who was back in our cabin feeling ill. I’d come back to this restaurant in a heartbeat.

What not to love about this restaurant!! The pizza was one of the best ones ever! Thin crust, just the way I like it. Profiteroles were to die for. The owner was super welcoming and I even got the chance to speak French! The atmosphere is unbeatable, in a lovely lush garden. Merci et a bientot!

Highly recommend Suggestion Gourmet for dinner. It’s tucked away south of the main streets and well worth the visit. The outdoor dining deck is lovely and the staff genuinely friendly and helpful with making selections. Bread was amazing served with tapenade. The rest of my family had pizza. Being gluten free I ordered the chicken with rice and veggies served in an Alfredo sauce. Delish! The boys had dessert. Really one of our favorite meals on the island. I imagine breakfast is even better with French pastries!

Such a great atmosphere. The service was friendly and funny. The food awesome. My new favorite place. Can't wait to try dinner here. Saw the most beautiful bird at the humming bird feeder... just not fast enough with the camera.

My husband did some research on a Gourmet French Restaurant in Caye Caulker, and we decided to give it a try. We started with some complimentary bread served with a delicious spread made of herbs, avocado, garlic, and balsamic vinegar. For my smoothie, I chose the "Everything" blend, which included papaya, mango, pineapple, and I’m forgetting the last ingredient haha! For our main dishes, I had the shrimp pesto pasta, while my husband enjoyed the meat lovers' pizza. We also tried the frozen nougat, which was truly unique, and we both loved it. The place is spacious, but since it rained before dinner, the indoor seating felt a bit cramped. I imagine it would be much more beautiful and enjoyable in the sun! Still, the atmosphere was romantic and cozy, and the server was absolutely hilarious! He took a selfie before he humorously captured our delicious food for us.

Ordered the veggie pesto pasta, server brought me shrimp pesto pasta. It took forever to get the first order & had to wait again for the right order. * pasta was actually really good, on the smaller side for portion, however, for price. Plus points for vegan option. I also ordered the sourdough loaf to go. definitely not sourdough from the states more like wheat bread. Was really hard to find, behind a house, very small sign passed 4x before finding it. Cute more jungle atmosphere.

Restaurant and airbnb are amazing, hands down one of if not the best spots on the island. Chef/owner is down to earth, an amazing cook (his food topped everything I’d eaten in Paris, France and on Caye Caulker) easy to chat with and takes diligent care of his garden, restaurant and guests. The vibes on the patio for dinner and breakfast are immaculate, cute lights, a meandering pond with koi, hummingbirds, what whole deal. They even brought us out a heart shaped pair of toasts with an olive tapenade while we chatted before dinner. Ive never liked lobster but it was the special so I tasted some when my boyfriend ordered, OUT OF THIS WORLD. We had each dish on the main menu over the course of our stay and each one was packed with depth of flavor I didn’t expect from dishes like pasta pesto and lasagna. A must visit during a stay on the island for sure.

Great atmosphere in their tropical garden alive with birds and geckos, a wonderful morning spot. Best bread on the island .. we had the croque family (M et Madame) and they were good. Because the bread is home made sourdough it’s nice and dense, but a bit of work to cut through. They were out of fresh OJ so opted for banana and papaya shakes…which were very good. Left very full.. no lunch today. They say you pay for quality and that is true here, the most expensive breakfast of our stay on Caye Caulker.
