This place is super special. A unique vibe. Everything very clean and very colorful. From the beginning I liked it very much. I totally recommend it.|The attention of the staff is very good and always very attentive. |The rooms have everything you need and the place is really well organized. Without a doubt a good recommendation and a top place. I will come back with the family.

This place it’s very unique, the architecture it’s quite different. I had hard time picking up a suite as they are all designed different. This time we stayed at the Cleopatra. Can’t wait to come back and stay in a different suite for a different experience. The hotel is located on top of a mountain with amazing views. The room was very clean. The property itself it’s well maintained. The staff were very friendly and cordial. I even got a chance to pick fresh fruit (freijoa) from the property tree. If you like nature, great views, fresh air, friendly people, cleanness, explore and disconnect time to time. This is the place to go !

Excellent hotel located in the mountain with very comfortable rooms with cool terraces and a jacuzzi. Ideal to spend time in couple exploring the mountains and being near the town to go have dinner or visit interesting sites. I highly recommend it to couples who love nature and want to experience Villa de Leyva in comfort, in touch with nature, and near everything.

It was an excellent surprise to be back after three years. We visited the hotel with my boyfriend and saw the reformation that the hotel has been doing for this amazing place that we find fascinating and unique in the mountains of Villa de Leyva. Seeing the waterfalls between the mountain and the clear water in the middle of the forest was an experience that we loved after the pandemic; it was a beautiful connection with nature. Also, we saw that the hotel is using panels of solar energy for the hot water which is very friendly with the environment. There many things new that we didn’t expect like new furniture and that is very nice as the room change its own experience!!! Definitely a place to visit and recommend around the world!!

Lovely hotel outside the town with very friendly staff. They should perhaps warn guests that the drive up to the hotel is not for the faint hearted and rooms are a good climb up the hill. The views from the rooms are wonderful and the hammock outside was great. Breakfast was reasonable.

What a horrible place. I'm absolutely shocked that this nightmare of a property is number one on TripAdvisor. First of all it's a solid 15 minutes outside of town, and not a walkable 15 minutes, it would be a day hike to get there on foot. They apparently have a transport service, but it's an extra cost, like everything at this dump. When we arrived, the property insisted on charging me at the hotel, even though I'd already paid online via the booking site. When we arrived in the room it was a total dump. There's cobwebs on the windows, the lights don't work, the bathroom has nothing but a floor towel, and a sachet of shampoo. Not even hand towels. The maids clearly do nothing but the most cursory of cleanings. EVERYTHING costs extra. You want to use the fireplace in the room, that's a charge. You want breakfast in your room? Extra. You want to use the jacuzzi? Only for an hour a day. You want to look out the window, that's a charge. You want to use the bathroom, probably that was an extra charge too. The rooms might have been nice in 1970 when they were last remodeled, and likely last cleaned, and not in the old, charming way, in the dilapidated way. The food from the restaurant was horrific. The soup was clearly canned, as was the spaghetti sauce. The steak, if I attached it to the bottom of a shoe, I could offer a lifetime warranty, for the purchaser, and their entire family lineage. I don't think we'll bother with the breakfast, so you'll have to try that at your own risk.

I came here with my wife and her family and was very impressed. The rooms are very spacious and beautiful.The hotel has a lot of character and the staff is very friendly. There is also a great view of the mountains and Villa de Leyva. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!
