19 Best Things to Do in Bali | Condé Nast Traveler

"Sukawati Art Market is a cheaper and quieter alternative to nearby Ubud Market and other popular locales in southern Bali. There is an impressive array of handcrafted artworks for sale, from framed paintings of local farm life to large wooden sculptures of Hindu deities. Without the intimidating crowds, it’s an ideal place to flex your bargaining skills on vibrant patterned dresses and accessories, home goods, and tote bags for all tastes." - Travis Levius

Amazing experience in this hotel! I came with my family and we were lucky to find this hidden treasure. The breakfast was delicious and the people are very friendly, they will make you feel like home ❤️. 24 hours service and the locations is perfect.

Very authentic area with no tourists. Good souvenirs for good price! Stroll around the area by scooter if searching for rural local life.

I didn't really enjoy my visit there. I really liked to visit it as a child but I guess my taste has changed coz the ambience is still the same. It's like normal Indonesian salesman, bargaining type market where they offer you a ridiculously high price for some "low-quality" item. I prefer going to other places where they have fixed price and good-enough quality items. I suggest if going there try to bargain to around 30-40% the offered price, most of the time they'll haggle but eventually will give it.

It was rather quiet than usual, and the sellers are very active offering their wares. There are 3 different buildings offering different stuff. You may want to explore each building if you are comfortable by the environment. Outside building there are usually some coconut or local ice cream seller to quench your thirst.

I didn’t visit the main building, but I checked out the smaller one nearby and had a great experience. All the sellers were very friendly and welcoming. I was able to get some clothes at a good price. Even though it was a smaller market, I still found what I was looking for and really enjoyed the atmosphere.

A very cheap local market for locals. Few tourists. We were there to see the local color. 3 rd place where they sell different clothes, some souvenirs, paintings, bags, etc. Nearby is a street where you can find different handicrafts. Which are much cheaper than the cost in the center of Ubud. And which are not in the center of Ubud

Fantastic Souvenir Market! If you're looking to take home a piece of your trip without breaking the bank, this souvenir market is the place to be. The variety is impressive — from handcrafted jewelry and vibrant textiles to unique local artwork and traditional trinkets. Whether you're after gifts for loved ones or a special keepsake for yourself, you'll find something here. Prices are reasonable, but a little friendly bargaining can get you even better deals. The vendors are warm and welcoming, making the shopping experience enjoyable. Many are happy to share stories about their crafts, adding a personal touch to your purchases. It's easy to spend a couple of hours exploring the colorful stalls, so come prepared to browse and haggle a bit. For budget-friendly shopping with plenty of charm, this market is a must-visit if you're around UBUD.
