The hotel has a lot of charm with its beautiful koi ponds and great potential, but there were several areas that need improvement. Unfortunately, the rooms felt quite run down, which was disappointing.
The restaurant menu was heavily focused on meat, with very few vegetarian options available. Breakfast was particularly lacking, offering only stale fruit and veggies.
We also had high hopes for the happy hour by the pool, which advertised 2-for-1 drinks. However, the drinks were so light on alcohol that they mostly tasted like mixers. We would have been willing to pay more for a properly made drink, but the staff seemed reluctant to accommodate that.
Overall, there are some lovely aspects to this hotel, but significant improvements are needed in the dining options and drink quality.
