Sukuh Cottage and Restaurant

I booked this place via booking.com and it said clearly that the payment option is cash on spot as you arrive. Right after the booking they sent me a direct message in Indonesian to deposit 50% of the money to their bank account or the booking will be cancelled. For all, be careful about this issue. They claim it is their hotel policy. Booking.com is notified from my end about this because it is a clear violation of the terms of use.

We were surprised by this accommodation the travel agency has chosen for us. It was far away from all restaurants and city center. The view should be wonderful but we could not see it because of all the clouds. The accommodation/garden did look nice but wasn't really clean. In the part were we had breakfast and dinner there was a cockroach walking around. But, we had a perfect sleep because it was so quiet. Only woke up by the sound of the mosque at 4:30 am. Should not have chosen this accommodation by myself.

The best place to stay not far away from Sukuh Temple I didn't expect the place to be so great. A spacious family room with 3 comfortable beds, a spacious balcony, a clean bathroom with hot water, plus wifi which is super helpful because the cellular provider I use is not reachable. The owner is friendly. There is also a restaurant so you don't need to be confused about the availability of food & beverages. Serene atmosphere, a super cool view from the balcony and of course close to Sukuh Temple which is our main destination. We will definitely come back again, InsyaAllah.

Clean with tip top up keeping unit. Low density. Nice for family trip with cooling weather at Kanganyar. Kitchen food is always serve in hot and savory taste. Peace and quiet place.

In this place has some good and bad sides. Good: nice view, green territory, comfortable rooms, wifi in room and outside (20 mps), given hot water for tea/coffee. Walking distance to Sukuh temple and Tengger park. Have parking. Bad: Strange management on place. If ask something first you will here "No", than may be they can arrange. When you just arrive from long way strictly they will ask payment for room, don't give people even sit or welcome drink (but it's mentioned as included). Drinking water on second day will give only if you request. No fruits on breakfast, seems they just try to safe money. Quite poor breakfast. Place is situated on the hill, so all noise from down going up (during Kurban Bairam it was horrible 5 hours non stop with bad singing). Room cost 400-450k IDR

Nice view. Rooms are basic and a bit outdated, espacially the bathroom. Friendly personel and okay food. Apart from the Cheto and Sukuh tempel not much to visit or do in the area.

The cottages are very basic. There is no air conditioning or fan, which you would expect. The staff is very friendly. We stayed at this place for one night and considered that to be enough. We enjoyed the view from the mountain, and visited the Sukuh temple which is only a 300 meter (steep) walk away from this place. The cottages could use an update to meet today‘s standards regarding comfort and hygiene.

Been here for family trip. The cottage was so amazing. The owner was so kind & friendly, the staff also. The view was beyond my expectations, so mesmerizing. The family room was so clean & comfy. The food also beyond my expectation, so yum yum. Wish will come back soon for our next family trip.
