Sule Shangri-La, Yangon

I was impressed when I received an email before my arrival to assure me that the extra bed is taken cared and ready when I arrived but was a little disappointed when i walk into the room and it was not ready. Informed the front desk a few times before the bed is put in place and additional set of cups, toiletries were set up. However, that said, overall it was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful and make us feel very welcome. They were also helpful with booking the cabs to our restaurant booking one of the night. Thank you!

This was one of the best hotel experiences I've had. The service was fantastic. They did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable and did not need anything. The breakfast in the morning was incredibly varied having stations for Japanese, Indian, Western, and more. The rooms themselves were really well taken care of and very comfortable. I will be staying again if I am ever in Yangon.

We have had a very pleasant experience in general. Excellent service, very friendly and helpful staff. Good sized rooms, clean and quiet. Excellent location. Pleasant lounge area. However, we have major complaints about the bathroom: very difficult to get in and out of the high-rim bath tub (walk-in shower stall preferred), toilet is inefficient, water drains from sink with undesirable noise.

We had the most amazing time at this Shanghai hotel in Yangon the restaurants food was amazing ,high quality, endless choices and fast friendly service. An amazing hotel staff friendly, informative, They strived please your every need. The concier was of great service to us. Had breakfast there every morning in conjurer's room. Our suite rooms were spotless, the floors sparkled, air was so fresh and clean . Not even a speck of dust in all the rooms . Our suite had fresh fruit tea and coffee every day. We were there in February 2019 . We have stayed at a couple of the Shangri-La they truly live up to their name, they do not disappoint. I definitely want to come back here we had the most amazing time.The Myanmar/ Burma people are wonderful, amazingly awesome people. |Sorry our post was late we travel alot this trip was a month and a half long . And I forgot a few places now trying to catch up. On our reviews there are four places here in this area I want to review .They were outstanding .... |A resort in Mandalay|Hot air balloons rides in the Bagan| and the Irrawaddy River boat cruise|And all the sites along the way made this a trip a lifetime so amazing...

Overall, we enjoyed the service of the staff the most. Our room had lovely views of the city and the Horizon Club did not disappoint. Excellent service quality. Our only concern is that the hotel could use a freshen-up. We stopped in for drinks or dinner at The Strand and Rosewood and their feeling is of luxury is classic, yet contemporary.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at the Shangrilla Hotel in Yangon. The staff at the reception were very helpful and courteous. The health club and the spa was excellent. But above all the buffet breakfast was just superb. The best thing was the surprise birthday cake we found in our room to celebrate my wife's birthday, the reception staff having found out her birth date from the passport and given us this surprise. Thanks once again

Room was spacious and clean. Staying in the club horizon rooms with the club access made the stay much more enjoyable. Staff and professional and genuinely care about the customer. Nothing is to much trouble. Special mention to Goal Lay for exceptional service and helping one of our family members when they were unwell. Definitely the place to stay when visiting Myanmar.

Lobby may not be lavish but excellent for location and price. Nice pool, gym and buffet breakfast. The hotel is tuck in a quiet corner next to shopping and yet just minutes walk to busy Chinatown. Everything is in good quality in the room. Friendly and good English speaking staff. Will definitely return and stay again.
