Reaching it requires descending a set of stairs through a narrow, cave-like gap in the cliffs—an effort that is more than rewarded by the beach’s breathtaking beauty. For the best experience, visit during low tide when the shore is more accessible. Keep in mind, however, that the currents can be extremely strong, so swimming or surfing here should be done with caution. As an entry point to Uluwatu's main surf break, it's a popular spot for surfers. Even if you don't plan on catching any waves, you can still explore the coast and enjoy the views. Suluban Beach has an incredibly beautiful nature, and the rock formations and sea are truly stunning. However, it was very disappointing to see how much uncontrolled construction surrounds the area. The natural landscape feels interrupted by dense and unattractive buildings, starting almost exactly where the rocks end. There seems to be no buffer zone to protect the natural beauty, and unfortunately this takes away from what could have been a truly special place. Seeing such a unique environment affected by poor urban planning was a big disappointment for me.

Simply, this was the best beach I've ever been to in my entire life. It's beautiful, the enclosure of rocks and caverns really add to the vibe. Many foreigners taking their ig-model photos here, not enjoying the real beauty and nature of the clear blue seas and just magnificent views. Strong waves off the coast, real surfing. Will never forget the Suluban...

I visited on a day when the rain came and went, so it wasn’t crowded. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and it’s a fantastic spot for photos. However, the experience was spoiled by two elderly women at the entrance demanding a 5,000 IDR “admission fee.” This is not private property, so I questioned why I should have to pay them. I ended up arguing with them and walking past. I don’t recommend paying this unofficial fee.

Must visit if you are visiting Uluwatu area. It’s truly a panoramic view from wherever you decide to go in for views - I went to Single fin👍 Highly recommend going down the small alley if you have good knee joints😅 not for the elderly. It’s a narrow, steep, slippery alley going down. And some monkeys too! The beach view is simply breathtaking.. go through the big rocks on the right side when you are down and a less popular beach area shows up.

The beach itself is absolutely stunning and amazing views. The only downside was the walk down—there was strong smell along the path, which wasn’t pleasant. But once you reach the beach, it’s totally worth it. It’s only small beach and it was very big wave so couldn’t go till inside. Only enough for took photos nothing else!

Reached Suluban after a 2 hours scooty ride in pouring rain but all the hustle felt worth it when we reached there. It’s relatively lesser known beach of Uluwatu but felt like a hidden gem. Could spent hours there.

If you want to watch surfing, this is a great spot. Many locals and semi-permanent surfers ride the waves here. In addition, the beach is definitely "exotic", with the sea rushing into the cave beach. It's quite a hike down to the beach, and you need to be aware of the monkeys, who will steal your water or your coke.
