What an amazing experience here. We had a campus tour with 2 lovely young girls that are studying in this Hospitality Foundation in the reception department. Had a great massage in the spa space and finished with a beautiful lunch in the restaurant. From the explanations, the design of the buildings, the gardens to quality of the service, everything was perfect and to the level of great hospitality. Congratulations and keep up this good work :-)

A great place to stay, to learn, to eat. It's a hospitality school, they open rooms and restaurant for the students pactice. Having a sightseeing tour and lunch, it was amazing, inspiring, and such an eco tourism. The students stay in dorm, and they treated as well as a guest, they said "what guest have, we also have it here." We feel the warmth welcome as they get from the foundation..

I love that they have a food garden and solar panels for electricity. Almost all furnitures are made of bamboo. Sumba has hot and humid weather most of the day, but I did not sweat at their open restaurant/bar as the building is open and surrounded by trees. Good ambience, friendly staffs and friendly students.

I was fortunate to stay here one night. Upon landing at Tambolaka Airport, one of the hospitality student trainees met me at the airport. From there it was a seamless check in and an introduction to Sumbanese architecture and culture. Loved my poolside room. Took a tour of the wonderful eco-resort/vocational school, and met with several students and teachers. Had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant. I’m not a huge fan of margaritas, but the tamarind margaritas were out of this world. This place is amazing. If you visit Sumba, you should stay here. Not only are you helping young Sumbanese men and women get practical experience when they start working in the hospitality industry, but it’s also a great place to stay. Hope more people get to visit it.

You cannot visit Sumba without visiting it's hospitality foundation. I've met so many beautiful people during my 3 day stay (way too short). Truly amazing this project. This place gives you mental energy for months.

The Sumba Hospitality Foundation significantly impacts the lives of students and their families through its transformative initiatives. The students' admirable determination is evident in their active management of the hotel and its various outlets, delivering a remarkable standard of hospitality. The on-site organic farm not only imparts essential agricultural skills but also provides direct support to their families. Visiting the foundation is highly recommended to witness firsthand the positive effects of this impactful initiative.
