Stunning hotel. Fantastic rooms, great food. Lovely location with guided walks that are easy to follow if you want to get out. Staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. It was my birthday and they made me feel really special. Pool area and spa was great. Will definitely be back. Fabulous.

WOW! We have just left Summer lodge after a few days break! Well we absolutely cannot recommend with hotel enough! We stayed in room 12 what was fully equipped for myself my partner and our dog, a large bedroom with the added bonus of a garden patio. |The room had everything we needed and was extremely clean and fully equipped. Even with a casual stocked bar. |Everything regarding this stay made it extra special, the staff especially who went over and beyond for us. Every need was met with a smile and perfect professionalism. (A special shout out to Philip who truly made our stay extra memorable) the food offered in the restaurant and the acorn pub was truly delightful. Offering the highest of quality and presentation and of course taste. |We cannot thank all the team enough and we cannot wait to return again for another break away. If you looking for a wonderful break where every part of your stay is taken care of, Summer lodge is the place to go!

Built in the late 1700s this interesting and attractive house, now a hotel and restaurant, provides a perfect setting for lunch or dinner. We sat outside enjoying our drinks, the warm summer breeze softly blowing through the trees, the gentle sound of the waterfall nearby. Lunch in the cool dining room was tasty but not perfect. Our host explained the reason why and assured us the problem would be dealt with. We will definitely be returning and are grateful for the fabulous care and attention we were given by Peter.

A luxurious couple of days for my birthday left us feeling pampered and spoilt. The staff were charming and engaged, ensuring we had everything we wanted. The gardens were beautiful, pool and spa were spotless. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Our package included a 3 course meal at the hotel and a 3 course meal at the Acorn Inn in the village .. both were superb. Home made shortbread in the room was delicious as were the special birthday chocolates and welcome glass of fizz. Quintessential old style charm in abundance.

We arrived on Friday 11th, not ample parking but just enough. |The sun was shining, and the hotel looked amazing, we were greeted by the concierge who helped with navigation to the reception, where meet and greet took place, and a familiarization tour .|Our room was air-conditioned a long with a welcome pack. |Everyone was nice welcoming, professional, and above all, nothing seems to be any trouble. |Therest of the day was atmospheric divine, balling water features croquet lawns, the list is admirable.|And I must add, on departure we had a travel pack gift for our home journey. |Thank you. |Enjoyable hundred. |We will be back.

We have visited Summer Lodge a few times and are never disappointed. We recently went for a few days to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special. Staff were so lovely and could not do enough for us. Lots of little touches, treats and attention to detail throughout our stay. Food, wine and cocktails were amazing. Spa was very peaceful to spend a few hours in. Location is outstanding with beautiful views from every direction. This is honestly our favourite place to visit in the whole world. Thank you to everyone at Summer Lodge for making our stay so very special.

This was a complimentary return visit following the one we made last summer where we had some issues regarding customer service. Pleased to say this was much improved. Treatments were great and the therapist went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable. The cream tea was great and the scones deliciously light.

Beautiful garden, spa and village. The rooms need a bit of updating but gorgeous mattress and big bathroom. The food is amazing, bravo for the chef and the service knows what they are doing! Loved my wk there. Super doggy friendly also!

Wonderful - We stayed for four nights recently and our only criteria for choosing them was that they were dog friendly and we love Dorset but we really made an excellent choice. Evershot is a little piece of heaven and Summer lodge is the perfect place from which to experience it . I loved the home-made shortbread and the fresh apricots placed in our room every day, the service was excellent and yet unobtrusive, and the breakfasts an absolute joy. The swimming pool was a bonus too - it was nice to have a quick dip before breakfast and before going out in the evening, pure luxury. We will definitely stay there again.
