Google
The Quarter Moon Iced Latte is my favorite, and I’m excited to try the Matcha Moon on my next visit. Seating is limited since it tends to stay busy, but there are a few outdoor tables available as well.

Google
Great coffee and awesome service. Tried their house blend drip coffee, summer moon latte and hot chocolate. Be careful with their special milk, too much and it gets very sweet very fast. I like to actually taste my coffee, but that was me not reading the instructions. Overall great little coffee shop to stop for a cup of Java!

Google
I had a great iced oat latte, but what really struck a chord with me was their perfect pup cup ^_^ There is plenty of outdoor patio seating so I definitely recommend coming to this location for a good pick-me-up with your pup! I loved their hat designs too and I’m excited to go back and get one. Great design taste here overall.

Google
I am floored by how good the vegan cinnamon roll and vegan lemon berry scone were, I’m completely blown out of the water !!! Definitely stopping again to pick these up when I’m in the domain

Summer Moon Cafe offers a truly calming and relaxing environment. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. And the coffee—absolutely delicious, with a wonderful taste that really stands out. If you’re looking for a cozy place with great coffee and amazing service, Summer Moon Cafe is the perfect choice!

Google
Ordered a vanilla chai. My cousins ordered a cold mocha latte. Overall the coffee is a unique taste, was not our favorite. The chai I did enjoy, a bit on the sweet side. Lots of drinks options! Service was speedy.

Google
Great coffee house vibe. Stopped off here for a quick after lunch coffee. It didn't disappoint. Wish I had one closer to where I live. I would love to explore their "fire-roasted" beans. Employees were knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend and would gladly go back.

Yelp
Stopped by summer moon for birthday coffee. The server was so sweet and made a big deal about my birthday. It was a great start to my birthday morning. The coffee house was filled with what appeared to be happy, talkative customers. Summer moon is great for work syncs, friends met ups and fun dates. Love me some Summer Moon!

Yelp
I've gotten coffee from Summer Moon quite a few times and it always hits the spot! I personally love the Wintermoon during the summer and the Summermoon during the winter. I know, sounds weird, but keep reading and you'll understand. Wintermoon is iced coffee with Moon Milk. Now, I'm not entirely sure how they make their moon milk but it is delicious! Described as: "An iced latte with notes of sugar cane and dark cherry." The Summermoon is the hot version, and perfect for colder days. Described as: "decadent, sweet, and creamy latte made with Summer Moon's signature Moon Milk and espresso." You can also customize the sweetness level of your latte with a Half Moon Latte, Quarter Moon Latte, or Whisper Moon. I personally love the sweetest version, but up to you. You know when you have a favorite shade of coffee, meaning that there's the right amount of milk, creamer and coffee? That's what Summer Moon is. My favorite shade of coffee. I've also tried their scones and my absolute favorite is the cranberry orange. It can be a little dry but you can ask if they can warm it up a little and omg it's so delicious! Not too sweet, not too dry, and balances the sweetness of the coffee perfectly! It's also a really nice place in you want to do some work at the café itself. It can be busy because it's so good, but it's really cozy. I also had to get one of their stickers to add to my water bottle because they're so cute!

Yelp
Y'all, this is THE BEST coffee shop I have ever been to in my life, hands down. I don't think any other coffee shop can even come close! I haven't had a single drink here that I didn't like. Their moon milk is truly out of this world and makes every drink incredibly creamy. My personal favorite is the frozen hot chocolate. And no, it's not just cold chocolate milk like other places try to pass off. This drink truly tastes like a cold hot chocolate - it's amazing! I'm also a big fan of the Lavender Moon; if you like lavender, it's a must-try. Honestly, everything I've had at Summer Moon has been incredible. The coffee is delicious, the atmosphere is great, and the service is always friendly. If you're looking for an amazing coffee experience, look no further!

Yelp
So yummy! I saw they had great reviews and I'm glad I tried it out. I did a pick up order and the service was very smooth. They were very busy and the vibes were immaculate.

Yelp
Thank you to Yelp for leading my friends and I to this cute coffee shop while visiting Austin. This place has great vibes, and because I am a sucker for branding I could not resist getting a quarter moon latte even though I was scared it would be a little too sweet for my palette (it was). That being said, the coffee was incredible (and organic) + staff was super friendly. I really, really wanted a breakfast taco but saldly so did everyone else in the restaurant because they were sold out for the day. I'll have to stop by again for another chance.
google avatar

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
Super casual and chill. They also have breakfast tacos in the morning and I love their hibiscus tea. It's somewhere to catch up with friends or do some light work while people watching. I'm convinced everyone in Austin has been at least once. It can get crowded so I'll recommend going at off peak hours but my friends who drink coffee all love their iced coffees so I'll recommend trying those. I usually stick to their teas and the hibiscus remains my favorite.

Yelp
I've been wanting to stop by and finally decided to stop in. It was busy for a Friday afternoon. I got the matcha moon I believe and it was delicious! There was a bit of a confusion when I ordered it but the baristas fixed it after. Nothing too crazy or special about this place. Will have to look into trying other locations of this chain.

Yelp
This might be my favorite coffeehouse anywhere of all time. The decor is attractive and the interior is cozy and comfortable. The coffee menu is extensive. I don't have a sweet tooth but whatever you do, you need to, at least once, try a coffee drink made with their "moon milk." I have no idea what is in moon milk but it's sweet and exotic and wonderful. Sipping one of their drinks with this nectar was like sipping on a rich, creamy, complex cocktail, without the booze, of course. I don't know how else to describe it. They also have absolutely beautiful pastries including delicious King Kong-sized Pop Tarts (called "toasters"). Excellent coffee here.

Yelp
On the hunt again! We're in Austin for a work trip, just had lunch at Sweet Greens and we're looking for the afternoon cup of joe. The place next door to SG doesn't carry heavy cream, so we're taking out support the local business elsewhere. Tia things that are their claim to fame: "Moon milk" (a secret blend of cream and sweeteners), along with roasting the coffee beans over oak wood. Definitely a remote worker haven, as nearly every seat is taken in a beautiful Monday around 1pm. We might be the only ones without a laptop. They can't pull a flat-white style shot, so we're getting "as close as I can get you" which will be a cappuccino. (With steamed heavy cream) First sip? It's different. There's definitely a flavor profile that's deeper than a usual coffee. "It's pretty good" says hubs. I think we have an Austin-close-to-work-Winner, folks!
google avatar

Lyndsay W.

Yelp
Buzzing place with a good amount of comfortable indoor seating (and some outdoor). Tasty coffee! Didn't have any pastries but lots of options that didn't look old/dry
google avatar

Shanna R.

Yelp
Busy in the mornings but plenty of space inside while you wait. Seasonal offerings are available! Love the Maple Praline Latte (Iced). Parking can be kinda difficult with quite a few small businesses sharing a tiny strip mall lot. I don't blame the coffee shop for this of course but just as a warning to everyone! You don't want to try and park a full sized truck or SUV at peak times (morning).
google avatar

Yelp
It was my first time in Austin and I wanted to try out this spot since it had lots of different locations and great reviews. Ordered an iced matcha moon latte and since I wasn't familiar with the concept of their moon milk yet, I decided to go with a full moon in order to get the full experience (pun not intended). That was my mistake. My matcha tasted very sweet and creamy. Sweeter than how I normally like my matcha. I could definitely taste the moon milk though as it overpowered the matcha. So word of advice, if you don't like super sweet drinks, definitely change the percent of moon milk in your drink. The inside gave off coffee shop vibes and it was busy on a Saturday morning with lots of people inside waiting for their orders.

Yelp
Great spot just wish they had a drive through. That parking lot is crazy! Staff is always kind and friendly!

Yelp
Love the uniqueness of their drinks. Got the half moon latte. One with hazelnut and the next day for a mocha. Both were excellent. Service was great and the vibe was cool. A little pricey but worth it

Yelp
As someone new to the area and not fully acquainted with the heat, I need a cold drink to ease in. I'm fortunate enough to be living so close to such a fantastic spot! This location is very convenient near the Domain alongside a plethora of other shops. Interior is fairly spacious and there's outdoor seating as well. Tons of work happening so you'll be influenced and productive should you choose to work here. There's free wifi available. Service felt very welcoming. Java Chip Moon Glacier - waking up pretty early, I don't need a huge caffeine boost to start the day but caffeine is very much appreciated. Coffee is strong and evident, better than your typical frappe. I'm a frappe fiend and this is one of the best I've had! I think their signature moon milk is responsible for the creamy delight that's akin to soft serve. It's far from healthy but such an indulgence experience.

Yelp
Trying to cut down costs, we decided to start making our own coffee at home, but we can't kick the delicious addiction we have for Summer Moon coffee! They have great quality coffee that is dated and kept fresh for at home consumption, with various flavors and roasts! My favorite is a medium roast from Honduras called Sweet Hearth. I still recommend in store for their great calm and casual vibes, excellent friendly and helpful service, and their delicious coffee!

Yelp
Summer Moon is an Austin staple, and this location is perfectly situated close to the Domain. I came here to work for a few hours on a Friday afternoon, and to get away from my "boring" work-from-home space. The drink selection can get confusing, as they offer something called "moon milk" which is essentially heavy cream from what I can tell (lol, there's a reason why the moon drinks have 500-600 calories if not more). But, I suppose they taste better than other basic items on the menu, because when I ordered an iced matcha latte (whole milk, not moon milk), I was deeply disappointed with how much it lacked in sweetness. I had to add stevia myself, and while some people wouldn't be bothered by this, I find a coffee shop only to be excellent at what they do when they are able to sweeten their drinks at the right amount.

Yelp
Great first experience at the Summer Moon Coffee near the Domain. Fast and friendly service, free Wi-Fi and the password is posted in multiple areas around the shop, easy to find. They had a few long high top tables and a cozy seating area that really took advantage of the small space, making it look larger and far enough apart that you have some privacy. We sat out front in the shaded table options to people watch and bring our dog. They have a few reserved parking spots out front for people that are picking up orders. Otherwise it can be a bit difficult to find parking as this is in a shared commercial plaza with many other businesses. We ended up parking behind the businesses. Easy tiger bakery items are always a win. We visited around 10:30am on a Sunday and they still had a lot of options available for breakfast and bakery food. We got a Spinach and feta empanada and a chocolate croissant (which they heated up for me). They forgot we ordered one of them and we mentioned we were still waiting on one item and the woman behind the counter dropped what she was doing and prepped it right away for us and apologized. It was pretty busy so we totally understood and it was still a very good experience for us. We also ordered an iced americano and a half moon iced latte, both were delicious and flavorful. They also sell bags of their own coffee beans to take home to roast.

Yelp
My chai latte had a good balance of chai to milk. It was also the warm temperature I requested. But that is not why I recommend this business. A very friendly employee talked to me about the menu after I explained that I was a first-time visitor and my normal drink habits. I learned the sweetness levels that can be put in each drink. She asked me questions and used my answers to point out drink options. Despite being a rather busy Saturday morning, it was wonderful to receive this genuinely kind assistance. In sum, the coffee is good, but the service is amazing!

Yelp
Just got an iced sf vanilla latte and it was pretty good! This spot is unique being an oak roasted coffee and I want to say that I could taste the difference. It was a different kind of bitter than most coffees. The shop was super cute with their merch for sale and the service was great!

Yelp
My favorite local coffee shop. Moon milk based drinks are the best. My favorite is expresso milkshake. Service is good and ambience is nice

Yelp
Popular coffee shop while visiting Austin. I asked one of my best friends that went to UTA what her favorite coffee shop was and this was one of them. She recommended the quarter or half winter moon. The quarter one isn't too sweet and the half wintermoon is pretty sweet but if you want something more on the sweet side then I'd saw go for the half wintermoon. The wintermoon is a latte with their special summer moon cream. Much needed for a hungover morning after a wedding and during the summer/fall best to go with iced rather than hot. I walked from my hotel to this location and wanted something to eat and by the late morning they only had pattys left. So I got a spinach mushroom pesto Patty which was pretty dense and oily. This spot is located in a shopping plaza so parking is easy and there's both indoor and outdoor seating. A great spot for people to work or have meetings too. The workers were efficient and kind and worked quickly. Great place to catch up, study, or grab a cup of coffee in the morning.

Yelp
Summer moon uses some really great quality ingredients that I appreciate. Their price points are pretty standard for boutique coffee these days. Moon milk is the base of their drinks, and is their version of a sweet cream- they describe it as a vanilla ice cream flavor. I ended up grabbing a matcha with coconut milk and it was a very simple and tasty drink. I would love to see other flavor additions and options, but at its core it was a pretty good drink. If they added a little cinnamon to their matcha moon they could easily make a horchata matcha flavor that would be incredible!

Dalia R.

Yelp
Great coffee and tea with phenomenal customer service. As first timers, we had questions. Our Barista was patient and explained the moon milk. Ordered the half moon latte and went back for some more moon milk. It's wonderful. We also ordered the alpine berry tea with lemonade concentrate and honey... also delicious!

Yelp
Moving to the Domain, I thought it would be full of good coffee, but I was wrong. Most of the coffee around here is terrible and I go out of my way to make it to summer moon. I loooove getting a mocha lavender latte. The hand pies are good too. It's a nice buzzy place to get coffee with a friend or solo - cool ambiance with people working on their laptops and outdoor seating as well. And the employees are sooo friendly. This is like the only place I've ever tipped on a cup of coffee, they're just all so sweet... just like the mocha lavender lattes! Obsessed

Yelp
My parents and I were in town visiting family and wanted to stop by and grab some coffee. I found Summer Moon on Yelp and went in. My dad had a hot mocha and I went with their iced summer moon latte. Both were delicious and what we loved most was the option to choose our "sweet spot"! Ive found that most coffee shops choose to serve a cup of syrup with little to no coffee at all and my experience at Summer moon was completely different. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and staff were helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this shop!

Yelp
Not bad coffee . Latte is good , but bakery here very sugary. But I don't know, maybe I am not good enough for that kind of bakery. A lot of people every time over there. Wait a long time

Yelp
First time trying Summer Moon and I was hooked! Iced winter moon was deliciously made.

Yelp
Summer Moon is a coffee lover's ultimate haven. They keep their menu simple - no drinks piled high with distracting flavors or sprinkles, etc. - but that's what makes it epic. From their Summer Moon latte to cold brews, their coffee has an incredibly unique flavor profile. Their signature Moon Milk is the coffee house's delicious sweet cream concoction, and it perfectly complements their wood-fired coffee. It can also be made with dairy-free ingredients! You can control the level of sweetness of your drink - take note that the 1/2 sweet is still VERY sweet. The barista I spoke with compared the 3/4 level sweet to Starbucks drink-level sweetness. Summer Moon is the perfect place to study, get work done, or catch up with a friend. If I could order their lattes by the gallon, I would!
google avatar

Alison N.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this coffee chain in Austin! Their mint syrup was amazing. All syrups and ingredients are house made and they use fair trade coffee which is important to me. We went there 3x on our short trip to Austin!

Yelp
Friends! This is not hyperbole: when I tell you this was the best coffee I've ever had, I am speaking the truth. It was so smooth and fresh. I am a Moon Milk convert for life! My husband really enjoyed his nitro cold brew, too, and only wished they sold it in a larger cup! One small thing I didn't like was that we ordered pastries and they gave my husband the wrong one but we didn't see till we weren't already long gone. I also would've preferred they asked if we wanted them microwaved. I ordered a homemade pop tart and it was PHENOMENAL but didn't benefit from being microwaved. Highly recommend this place and will stop in every time I visit Austin!
google avatar

Yelp
Overall a great working space with decent coffee. If you're looking for a workspace for a couple of hours that is calm, with plenty of desk space or couches and TONS of outlets: this is your spot! Look no further. Plenty of parking as well. In regards to their food and coffee: items are on the sweeter end. I like their velvet blaze coffee beans, a good medium roast. Also, their season item of strawberry nitro cold coffee is good, but get it half as sweet!

Dante H.

Yelp
Great vibe and good coffee! Was visiting from San Antonio and needed to find a spot to kill some time and work on stuff for my job. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
What am I thankful for this Thank You Thursday? Well, coffee. With so much buzz around Summer Moon, I finally checked out a location while running errands in Austin. This particular location is in a newish strip center with plenty of parking. It was a Saturday morning and there was a long line, however it moves fast. Almost too fast, as I was trying to familiarize myself with the menu. I wanted to try their signature Summer Moon latte, but I learned their milk was made with actual milk. I did try the quarter moon latte, just so I could see what the craze was all about, but with less dairy and sugar. It was good, but not worth me breaking my dairy rule. Thankfully, they have a "moon juice" option, their dairy-free sweetener combined with oat, soy, almond, or coconut milk to make a dairy-free 'Moon Milk.' The coffee itself was rich and smooth; they claim their oak-roasted coffee beans create a low acidity flavor. And perhaps they are right. I couldn't find anything on their website about their beans, like if they are fair trade and organic. A few news articles I read claimed that to be true, but I couldn't find an official statement on their website confirming that. Would love to know!

Yelp
Stopped by twice during my four day trip with Austin with some friends. Ordered the medium Quarter Moon latte, which has two shots of espresso with regular milk, a small Quarter Moon latter, which has one shot with oat milk, and a Matcha Moon with oat milk. If you just want to add an extra shot of espresso it's about $1.25 - 1.50. Quarter Moon Latte (Regular Milk): $5.57 - My second favorite drink. The coffee taste came through strong and it was delicious. - It eventually became too sweet for me so I saved the other half for the next day and it was just as delicious Quarter Moon Latte (Oat Milk): $6.12 - Lattes are typically 1/2 - 3/4 milk. The oat milk was strong with this one. It was actually all I could taste. - My least favorite of the three Matcha Moon (Oat Milk) - LOVED this drink. I usually don't like matcha and this drink was delicious. - My friend who only drinks matcha said this was the best she has had - Inspired my two other friends to also order this Overall, this was a solid coffee shop. I would be interested in seeing what other coffee shops in Austin have to offer. I did think it was a little bit more expensive than I preferred, especially since moon milk is their signature flavoring/creamer. To me, it didn't taste any different than a typically latte.
google avatar

Jana C.

Yelp
Two words: Moon Milk. I don't know what it is about this, but this stuff is downright addicting. And super sweet! Which is why I always order a half moon coffee. I also love summer moon for the service. The baristas are so friendly and it's always clean inside. It can get busy here, so I end up not getting a lot of work done or being able to find a place to charge my device. But based on coffee alone, it's excellent.
google avatar

Deanna W.

Yelp
An Austin staple, this is my go to when I'm in the mood for real, (non Starbucks) espresso or drip coffee. They have all the usual cafe offerings, as well as their own proprietary milk, called "moon milk". This is a creamy sweet milk that is smooth and a super nice touch for any latte. I order the 1/4th moon milk latte as I don't love my coffee super sweet. It used to be very convenient to order through their app, but it looks like they have moved their online orders through their website (make sure you are ordering from the proper location when doing this). This location is a little small so unless you get there EARLY to stake out real estate, don't expect a seat or any room to work or hangout.

Yelp
If there's one thing that has the power to transport me to a realm of pure coffee bliss, it's a cup of coffee from Summer Moon. From the very first sip, I found myself uttering the words, "Damn, that's really good," and I knew I had stumbled upon something truly incredible. The moment you step into Summer Moon, you're greeted by the comforting aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, a scent that instantly awakens your senses and stirs anticipation within. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with cozy seating and friendly baristas who seem to possess an almost magical understanding of the art of coffee-making
google avatar

Yelp
These drinks are fantastic. I love winter moon with lavender. It gives it a very unique flavor

Yelp
Great local place. Delish coffee and eats. Great merch. Support local!! I'd be here every week if I lived near here..

Yelp
Absolutely loved my experience here! This was the first time I had ever been to Summer Moon and I tried the blue moon with almond milk and it was pretty delicious! It wasn't too strong but still had a coffee/lavender taste too it. We had a mobile order and it was so quick and easy to do! When we got there our order was already ready and the staff was really friendly! The vibes of the cafe was also great for the most part! It was a little small but overall a really great place to study! Definitely would recommend trying it out!
google avatar

Yelp
Been an almost daily customer for a very long time. Recently the manager charged me more money for the drip coffee I've been drinking there daily for over a year. When I inquired she "fixed" it. However, when I came in the next day, one of the baristas charged me the higher price. When I asked what was going on, I was told I was being charged for the "cream." My response: it'll be the last time. (I always had 1/2 & 1/2 + honey) So your already highly priced, high profit coffee needs a bump because you have to put some cream in the coffee??? Just reason #237 why Americans are hated and looked down on by most of the world. GREED...

Yelp
A classic coffee shop in Austin -- the interior is bright and airy with lots of space and tables both inside and on the patio. A ton of folks bring their work here to post up and study. I really loved the frozen hot chocolate, which they make with their delicious 'moon milk.' It's a stone's throw away from the Domain, so my friends and I stopped by to fuel up and walk over. The drinks are pretty large, and I would've shared it with a friend if you're looking for a quick, sweet pick-me-up!
google avatar

Raquel M.

Yelp
Just moved to ATX from California. Of course, I had to embark on coffee adventures after settling in. For this past week, I started at Summermoon! Parking: A bit tight, but if you drive to the back, there are many other spots. Interior: Cute!! Small, but cute. Staff: Super sweet. I asked my questions, asked what the popular drinks were & why and she answered all of them! Note: I did call before heading over to make sure there were tables inside the coffee shop where I could work. Once inside, there were 2 tables and a bar in the back. Drinks: DELISHHH.
google avatar

Lani L.

Yelp
Always busy this location but they always make my drinks really good. If you want a quiet summer moon this location might not be the one. They have homeless people in there sometimes which is very kind of them to have them sit inside.
google avatar

Christina H.

Yelp
Tucked away in the middle of a strip mall, Summermoon Coffee Bar far exceeds its expectations as soon as you step in. The interior decor provides a sense of productivity. It is modernly rustic, open concept, and spacious. Unfortunately due to covid, seating has become limited. For those who are not too familiar with Summermoon, their coffee beans are roasted over Texas oak, which provides a woodsy, bold taste to the coffee. In addition, not only do they roast their own coffee beans, but they also create their own signature sweet cream-- the Moon Milk. The Moon Milk perfectly complements their coffee beans, which creates the perfect latte.
google avatar

Jando S.

Yelp
Cafes might look like Summermoon, but rest assured they are truly a coffee bar. Texas BBQ often touts their quality of meats as well as the wood they fire it up through. Wood plays an important role in the Summermoon process as well, as they cite it to be the reason their product tastes so good. Who knew that roasteries could enjoy a touch of wooden goodness? I don't like to buy into popular whatever / hype, but Summermoon deserves all the praise it can get. It has a lovely location, a quick and efficient staff, and a hell of a product. One sip of their signature Summermoon latte and I was completely hooked. This is coming from a guy who doesn't even really love coffee but I had to get another cup here. There is a certain flavor I can't pinpoint, but an addicting quality to it. Wood-fired coffee indeed! One thing I like even more than that is their moon milk. It is everything they described: creamy, sweet, and rich. While I don't know what the 7 "secret" ingredients are, I would make this the drink to get. I would also say yes to their smoothies as well, and their milkshakes, and other coffee flavored drinks. I can't say I haven't had a drink I didn't like. While I admittedly haven't tried their hot food, I can say their "lick" ice cream flavors are quite good. There aren't a lot of flavors and that makes it real simple for the rest of us: moon milk, mocha moon, vanilla bean, salted caramel, along with vegan options as well. It is a good treat during hot weather days. They have a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating. WiFi is fast and there is parking for days. If I had to knock anything, it might be the prices but I'd rather pay more for this than pay less for mediocre. While I wish I had one of these where I live, it gives me more reason to come back to Austin.

Yelp
Atmosphere: Quaint, rustic, and calm Setting: Great place to work remotely or gab with a friend. The inside is not pet friendly, however most locations have a patio seating that you can enjoy with your furiend. Food: meh - but you're not coming for the food Coffee: the full moon is personally too sweet for me, but I do enjoy the quarter moon. 1/4 moon milk, 3/4 coffee.

Yelp
A lot of people but the wait is too long despite the number of baristas they have. Order taking was good. Coffee quality was off, maybe due to a lot of customers. But it shows inconsistent barista. I think they can be better coffee quality wise.
