Summer Place

I recently had dinner at Summer Place, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is elegant and upscale, making it a perfect spot for a special night out. I started with the deviled eggs topped with caviar, which were flavorful, refined, and beautifully presented. The beet salad was fresh and vibrant, and the lamb T-bone was the highlight of the evening—tender, perfectly cooked, and seasoned to perfection. On top of the amazing food, the service was excellent attentive, professional, and very welcoming. The combination of refined ambiance, delicious dishes, and great service made my visit truly memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fine dining experience

Very nice place with far views of Cleveland and near views of Lake Erie. I reserved a table for Sundays morning. We got there early and was seated at a very nice table. Our server was great, but I have forgotten her name. Drinks were good, pressed juice, coffee, martinis. CINNAMON ROLL!! I had the hash, good, but it was dry. It needed something. Almost came across like a deconstructed hash. Wife got the Quiche she thought it was very good. We shared a chocolate cheese cake, it was, of course, delicious. I am expecting to go back as the menu had other selections that I still want to eat!!

I recently visited Summer Place in Lakewood and had a mixed experience. The atmosphere was a standout feature—offering a lovely view of the lake, making for a relaxing and scenic dining experience. The server added to the positive vibe, being both polite and genuinely funny, which made the meal more enjoyable. On the food side, the eggs were top-tier—fluffy, rich, and cooked to perfection. Paired with their mimosas, which were crisp and well-balanced, it made for an excellent brunch choice. However, the chicken and waffles were disappointing. While the waffle had a nice texture, the chicken lacked seasoning, leaving the dish feeling flat. The burger had a similar issue—cooked properly but missing the depth of flavor you'd expect from a well-seasoned patty.

The views on the lake are stunning. Well lit and beautiful on the inside. Went for a birthday brunch, and our server was personable, honest when he made suggestions, or if we asked his opinion. The food, as always, was fantastic; I got the smash burger, my other friends got the omelets, chicken and waffles, and the short rib hash-all of us enjoyed the meal. The drink selection is good and made with care. I had a very delicious espresso martini. my friend is pregnant, so she was unable to take part in the alcohol festivities, but they had a good mocktail menu she ordered from. This place is great for birthdays, a date or "just because"

My wife and I wanted to thank all the staff and the chef for the wonderful experience we had with my sons baptism party! Service was fantastic, food was delicious, and the room was set up beautifully! Thank you again and we will definitely keep you in mind for future events!

The place is amazing. The service was 5 star and the food was delicious. The views of the water hit different when you’re there enjoying your meal. Then you look over and downtown Cleveland is lit 🔥 up. The customers were even friendly and that is rare. I thank you for the experience and we will definitely be back.

My two guests were vietnam vets having dinner together, they both said this place bleeds excellence and quality service everyone is smiling and great vibes all around Food was a parade for the pallet, very complex and exciting combinations, and great drinks to pair with it all. Our server Maggie was just completly awesome, fantastic to talk to and ask questions, she was ready with answers. She strived to make sure we had a great experience from start to finish. Every time we come, i have enjoyed every minute, and look forward to our next visit.

The location was gorgeous, and I went in the middle of winter. The seating areas are upscale, the presentation is what you want from a fancy brunch and the prices seemed reasonable for each item. I would highly suggest trying this place out if you’re meeting up with family or friends. However, I don’t feel like the food met my personal expectations. The descriptions and ingredients used were okay but the flavor was very bland. If you’re not a big flavor person I think the food would be 5/5, but if you’re expecting seasoning and big flavor you may be disappointed. Both of us didn’t finish what we had, but I don’t hold my preference against the restaurant. If it is your first time there it may seem a little confusing to find, but if you follow the signs you’ll get there! It is all the way behind the buildings, on the water.

First time coming to Summer Place, and I was not disappointed. The ambiance is absolutely breath taking and welcomes you with the best veiw of the Cleveland I have ever seen. The food was really out of this world. Completely complimented the entire visit. Especially enjoyed the cornbread and tea butter. Our server Maggie, was very attentive, and explained the specials very well. Explained the drink options that were best to pair with our food options abs even suggested some ideas not on the menu. The entire restaurant was glowing, it's excellence in service from every corner. I will happily return.

The Summer Place is magical. Feeling of peace and tranquility! From the very first step into this Devine lakefront location to the exit out to the free parking, what a special experience! Highly recommend this for Lovers! Celebrate anniversarys, and birthdays! Perfection!!

My boyfriend & I went here for my birthday dinner! I made a reservation and requested to be sat by the window to see the sunset. They followed through - It was beautiful in the dining room and the perfect view for our meal!!! For drinks, we got the Strawberry Thyme Lemonade summer cocktail and a Moscow Mule. They were both delicious. For an appetizer, we couldn't decide between the lamb meatballs or whipped feta dip. We decided on the Whipped Feta with pita chips and we added on the assorted vegetables with an extra charge! We ate all of it - it was great! For entrees, I got the 8oz. Filet Mignon cooked medium and my boyfriend got the 14oz. New York Strip cooked medium rare. My filet was cooked to perfection and was probably the best filet I have had in awhile. We split the sides of garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus to go with our steaks. I am only giving this review 4 stars due to the New York Strip being cooked about medium well when we cut into it (requested to be medium rare). We didn't say anything as he enjoyed it regardless. But curious if this would happen again. A nice surprise was a birthday gelato with a lit candle! Overall, I highly recommend this place for a date night, celebration, or a nice dinner out with friends. I will be coming back!

Wonderful atmosphere and wonderful food. Came here with colleagues and we were not disappointed. I tasted a bunch of different items in the menu and they did not disappoint. Definitely recommend !

We ordered take out since it's convenient for us due to living so close. The burger is always worth it. With that being said we always like to order something "new" to try. This time we ordered the whipped feta. It was good but the amount of feta they provided vs the pita, well we need more pita. Would not get the whipped feta again. It was busy when we arrived but they were ready to help us and the food was already done even though they said 20 mins.

Been here a handful of times- service this time was below average. Our server was stone cold with no personality. Waited 45 minutes between ordering and getting our food. 20+ minutes between our plates being cleared and getting the bill. Food was good though! Love the atmosphere.

I cannot recommend this restaurant more! The service was amazing and the food was AMAZING, even better the drinks!! My grandma and I are visiting family and we're in from California and this is the best restaurant I've been to. The message and goals are even better. All profits go to families who have the blessing of children with Autism and Down Syndrome and it's so refreshing that there is a place that focuses on giving back!

Our favorite local restaurant. Can't beat the amazing city of Cleveland waterline view. But mostly the staff, attention and incredibly delicious food!!!! Could be at any resort in the world and we have a Gem in our backyard of Cleveland Ohio Love Summer Place!!!

very disappointed that even though it was a tax free week in Ohio, the owner, Tony George, trumped up a tax for "high food costs" and also charged me a transaction fee even when I paid cash. The waiter said that fee was for my pineapple juice because it was a specialty drink....really???? Then the waiter did not return my change. THAT IS ILLEGAL. VERY sad for me and my party. We will not return even though the food was good.

Came here for my friends birthday this time and it was, again, delicious! We got a pizza and burger to share!! The short bread pizza was so yummy!! You kind of get a steak for cheaper in my eyes... right? either way it was good and the entire pizza was gone!! The burger was the perfect counter part!! Cooked perfectly as we asked and the fries were so crispy...(the best way to eat fries!!!) We even got a cheese cake to celebrate our friend's birthday!!! And we of course... all got espresso martinis!!! Delicious and gave us more energy to keep yapping all night!! Thank you summer place for another great birthday celebration!!

Fantastic service and fantastic food with amazing lakefront views as usual! Delicious pear martini. Amazing apps that are unique ranging from the clothes hanger bacon to long form cornbread and feta dip.

Had a wonderful girls night at Summer Place! My sister and our friend had been here before but it was my first time. It was so cute inside. We went at happy hour and the drinks were delicious. We got three appetizers to share between us which was just enough food. But I have to give a special shout out to the Brussel sprouts! Can't say I'm not a fan of them but Summer Place's Brussels sprouts made me a believer that they're delicious. The service was wonderful. We were checked on often but didn't feel like they were rushing us. A wonderful girls time was had, and the view from Summer Place wasn't half bad either.

A very beautiful location and good service but the brunch food was a bit mid, imo. I got the oysters to split with others and the big breakfast (with steak and eggs). The main issue I had was that the steak was kind of tough and that was the main star of the meal. The eggs were fine ( though a friend got scrambled and did not like it) and so were the hash browns. I needed to add some salt to the food in general. I did get to try someone else's chicken and waffles which was good though.

I love the Lakeview location but it is just overpriced. Food is very good, but overpriced. Drinks are tasty but overpriced. Service was great, not overpriced. Theme is cool but... wait for it, overpriced.

A nice restaurant in Cleveland by the water, it makes you feel like you are dining in Southern California. Great summer ambiance, with the bright lighting and boho vibes. The food was solid. I got a veggie omelette and my friend got a benedict. Good portions, as I was having a difficult time finishing my omelette. Of course, recommend the clothesline bacon.

We had a fantastic brunch celebration for Mother's Day. Our server was friendly. The meals were prompt and the drinks were tasty. The views throughout the restaurant make the experience. Definitely give this one a try.

This place is definitely a feel good spot! Why you ask? Well first and foremost the owners have turned this restaurant into a memory of their late family member who had down syndrome (DS), all the proceeds go fully to a DS nonprofit in Cleveland. To top that off, the ambiance is 10/10, you fan dine or brunch right by the lake in a beautiful well lit space, or if you're a group of 10-12, you can reserve their cozy private room (with a small fireplace). So, what are you waiting for?

I came here Saturday for my friend's bday brunch. I will say we waited almost 30 minutes for a 1pm reservation, but the overall experience and food made up for it. I ordered the breakfast burger and it was tasty. But the star of the show was the cinnamon roll! Delicious. Also a great espresso martini. And comfortable seating!

This restaurant offers beautiful views of Edgewater. Really is lovey. Honestly this place is good for drinks. The food was a disappointment. Had to send my plate back. I would definitely revisit to share drinks and a good time with my friends.

In night in Cleveland for one night - wanted a place on the water and found Summer Place! Sat at the bar, great service! Fast, attentive and super friendly! The vibe is upscale casual with upscale touches! We had the airline chicken and the Strip steak....the creamed corn was different and delicious! We enjoyed everything!

Beautiful location and restaurant. The cocktails were made very nicely and well balanced. We had an early reservation. I hadn't realized the dining room and kitchen closed between brunch and dinner. So something to consider when planning your visit. The filet which my husband ordered was cooked to his liking. The fish of the day was pleasant, but a bit on the dry side. I wish there was a saucy buttery-ness to it. The lamb meatballs were 100% delicious.

Every year I take my wife and daughters and the whole family to brunch for mothers day. Well we have been going to Pier W for the last 10 years . I booked summer place this year cause our family has grown . What a great experience , so much room for children , and adults very spacious . The food was out of this world amazing , there was absolutely no waiting in line for two or three separate areas to choose you meal . I be already booked Saturday night because I cannot imagine how delicious dinner will taste . And then we met the owner and he said all of the profits from this high end Dubai style restaurant actually go to his late son Mikey's charity. I could go on but I highly recommend Summer Place for brunch , or Dinner. Service was beyond our highest expectations. Thank you to all the staff as well , I felt like 12 people waited on us !

Sat at the bar for a glass of wine to end my night and was not impressed with the wine list. Most of the wines by the glass are not good and are overpriced. Personally Justin cabernet is the best choice for a glass of red which is what I ordered. Unfortunately my glass of red was accompanied by a group of fruit flies throughout my time at the bar which was not pleasant. Service could also improve as my water was left empty for the majority of my time and our bartender was very difficult to find and flag down. For the price this place charges for their food and drinks I would expect higher quality and more attentive service.

The food was good, but the ambiance is over the top if you love waterside dining and looking out over Lake Erie as I do. I had the Wild Mushroom Pasta which was a delicious vegetarian dish. I'd ordered a glass of wine which the waitress forgot, but when we reminded her she apologized, said it was entirely her fault, brought it promptly and said it was taken off the check because she'd originally forgotten it! Will definitely go back!

My wife and I got a window table with a lake view at the Summer Place. It was a good start to an OK meal. Service was good and we had a round of drinks to begin. We ordered the beet salad and the wedge salad. Both were tasty. My wife ordered the Airplane Chicken and I had the short rib pizza. Her chicken was good and was accompanied by creamed corn. The pizza looked good (much like a fake pizza in a staged dining room) but it had nothing that tasted good. If I ever go back, I'd avoid this pizza. Did I mention that the Summer Place is quite expensive?

We came here from a different restaurant because we were disappointed in the food there. My mom wanted a place overlooking the water and to drink some wine so we came here and sat at the bar. Anna was our bartender and she was great! Very friendly and on top of it. This place has amazing east coast oysters and they had the sambuca with the three beans that my mom loves. I overheard a couple talk about how good their steak was so I know we have to come back to try it. This place also partners with Awakening Angels who has done so much for those with Down syndrome and developmental disabilities. They truly care for others and coming here helps Awakening Angels. I very much recommend this place! 10/10

My husband made a reservation for 6:15pm on a Friday. It was busy so glad we did. Very nice inside. Server was very friendly. They had a few Mocktails on the menu that were good. Nice wine selection. We shared the Fattoush salad that was very light and tasty. My husband got the Lamb Bolognese and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Sauce was good, you could taste the red wine and bay leaf, very traditional. I got the lamb meatballs and side of mashed potatoes (pregnant and all over the place when it comes to what I'm in the mood for lol). Both were great. Nice date night spot.

Truly one of the premier brunch locations in the city. The vibe, the atmosphere, the service and the food are all an experience. It feels like you're away on vacation.

Absolutely LOVE SUMMER PLACE!!! Omg my new absolute favorite!! Love the vibes, the views, the food, and the love! I have never seen these views of Cleveland's skyline before. I really felt like I had taken a quick flight to South Beach with the feel and the decor on point. The gorgeous lake front view was spectacular too. Sunset was beautiful! My highest recommendation . The blue crab dip and hangar steak were amazing. Proceeds go to Awakening Angles. A very special charity in honor of the owner's son - a heart filled restaurant that I absolutely love now! Truly a gem. Thank You, Summer Place Family and Staff! We will be back! Looking forward to Brunch!

This place gets pretty busy! Came here for brunch with friends and children. Service was decent for a table of 10, but got a little upset that I couldn't hear her at all from one end of the table. Also, she didn't even care to offer my child a water, so I had to ask my friends if they were going to drink their water so I can give it to my kid. Food was delicious! We ordered 2 shareables, deviled eggs and French toast. Deviled eggs weren't your normal thanksgiving and Easter appetizer, it was definitely better with great flavors. Got an order of pancakes and eggs Benedict. The pancakes were large and delicious. sweet enough that syrup wasn't necessary. But it came with a side of jam. The Eggs Benedict english muffins were quite large compared to the store bought english muffins. Hollandaise sauce was delicious! I always order eggs Benedict for brunch and this one is definitely on my top 3! Overall food was delicious! Service was ok but it wasn't terrible. And the view of downtown Cleveland while having brunch was beautiful. Will definitely come back again.

The ambiance was excellent from the time you enter the building, and the service was joyful, friendly, and attentive. My dinner was delicious. I never order anything w/ beets...ever! But, this beet sauce was a good surprise. Overall, I enjoyed my dinner, company and the entire environment, great setting!

Amazon brunch and atmosphere! Went on a Sunday and someone was playing the piano. Very lovely.

We met my sister and her husband at the Rock and Roll HOF and we were looking for a dinner spot. I'm so glad I found this place! They were very accomodating, considering that homecoming kids were coming in an hour. My sister and I had an espresso martini..just fabulous! BIL and I each had a shrimp cocktail, too. Great cabin flavor..but I would have preferred it hot instead of chilled.. I had the walleye over couscous. Excellent! Sis had the gnocchi special. I tried it and was also fantastic BIL had a prime rib..hubby had the salmon. We were all very pleased with our meals!

Amazing experience in every way. Service impeccable. Ambiance perfect. Appetizers were all great. We got the cornbread, shisito elote, and brussel sprouts. Cornbread was the table favorite and I'm still dreaming about it. My parents got a halibut special which they loved. Wild mushroom cacio e pepe was good. Michael's favorite was so good, especially the beef. Perfect fries. For dessert, the creme brûlée was ok but the chocolate mousse cake was better. Really good coffee too. 10/10 highly recommend

Came here on a romantic date and loved everything about it. The VIEW, y'all! Unbeatable. The location, the decor, the cleanliness, the crystal clear indoor pool view, the spaciousness, the vibe...it was bougie without the attitude. This is the only restaurant that can cook bucatini correctly al dente. I've tried two other primarily Italian restaurants that don't know how to cook it. Our server was knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. The food was excellent and portions are reasonable. Prices are in line with ambiance and location. Parking was available in the same lot as the apartment building. The only confusing part was that there was another seafood restaurant under the same apartment building one parking lot away...we might've gone there first by accident...

Atmosphere is great; not many dining views of the lake like this around. Service was solid. Food was a mixed bag. Bacon, cornbread, and whipped feta dip appetizers were great, lamb meatballs were mediocre meatloaf in a ball shape. Salads were good, burger was meh, fries were fantastic. If you're looking for a new place to try, I'd recommend it, but maybe stick with the "favorites" and specials - other items seemed to take a backseat in quality.

The food is always amazing. Great view of the water and of downtown. The service is always great and super friendly staff.

So I'm fortunate enough to attend a lot of functions/dinners here. The food, whether on the menu or made for an event buffet is ALWAYS second to none. Bacon wrapped dates, hummus, charcuterie, Korean BBQ chicken and shrimp all done amazingly well. There are always some delicious and interesting Mediterranean and Middle Eastern options. They constantly rotate the menu so it never gets boring here. The service is always on its A game. I don't think they've EVER let my glass go empty. The servers are also able to field all kinds of questions about the fare. The building is beautiful with the most amazing view. One side looks out over the city lights, the other looks out into the calm darkness over the lake. It is always spotlessly clean inside. And you have to go at this time of year to see all the beautiful Christmas Lights that they put up.

The food is amazing. This hanger steak was amazing. The service was great, the server was always friendly and the atmosphere was great!

This time around I stopped by summerhouse for a nightcap. Their creme brûlée was strawberry favor! It was okay, but the consistency of it was just right. We ordered a hummus and it was amazing! The hummus was just right. We had some coffee drinks and those was pretty simple and right. I've always liked the food and service. But the views always has be mesmerized!

STUNNING view of the lake. The restaurant interior is so well lit and gorgeous that it's worth the visit in itself. The food and service were great as well. I can't speak to their dinner menu but their brunch was tasty and super reasonably priced.

We went for happy hour on July 4th. The appetizers were great. The view is absolutely awesome. The hummus was served with pita and there was an up charge for veggies--- $8 was too much for the small amount of veggies in my opinion. The waitresses were attentive, one was much more friendly than the other.

Came here for my birthday brunch - loved the aesthetic and vibes! There is ample parking, just follow the signs to the back where Summer House is located. We got the bacon to start and it was delicious along with great presentation. It also was a better deal for the table to do the Prosecco bottle and 2 juices for $48 instead of each getting a drink. The hash was pretty great too! My boyfriend said the eggs Benedict was good, but not the best he has had. The waitstaff was amazing and always checking up on us. Looks like they have a great happy hour - so excited to come back and try that!
