Honestly, we know absolutely nothing about wine. We came for the view, which is spectacular! There is also a cool sculpture of a bottle pouring a drink into a glass. The site alone is impressive. We eavesdropped on a tour for a moment. The guide was very interesting. All the employees were friendly. Would like to return for lunch and a tour some day.

Had a great wine tasting experience. The views are amazing from this winery. They have a very good outdoor seating and ample Parking. We didn't get to try the restaurant as there were not many or good vegetarian options.

I must say I absolutely love that the wineries allow children to come along. I brought my two daughters with me this summer, they’re 19 & 14. We came to check out Kelowna, enjoy a wedding and visit a couple wineries I went to a few years ago. This place has stunning views, amazing wines, ice wines, and champagne’s. I personally love the handcrafted food items. I was sadly disappointed on this visit that they didn’t have the same type of selection they did last time. Even with that we had a great visit learned a lot about wines and ice wines. I would definitely recommend coming here and trying everything they have. Make sure you stop and take a couple pictures around the property. So pretty!!

Visited during summer ☀️ the blazing sun was an awesome backdrop for taking shots. Very picturesque. Mostly for adults because of the wine tasting but kids can come along. The pyramid was eerie hehehe 😆. Amazing lake view. Its a very fine place and they have a restaurant that can cater to large groups. Sad story though that a flash frost destroyed the grapes 🍇 hence there will be no 2024 brew. Climate change is real people so do your part and lower your carbon footprint.

We were visiting Canada for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the property and the overlook it provided. I really wanted to experience a Canadian winery and this did not disappoint. A wonderful way to watch the sunset…a view of the lake and the sun going down behind the rolling hills. We loved that everything was organic from the wine to the food. We bought a bottle of the rosé (which was SUPER GOOD & easy to drink). The waitress told us it was a favorite and that they were almost out of it. We visited with a 1 year old and 4 year old and had no issues with staff…actually our 1 year old daughter really loved our waitress. For dinner we had the burrata, the three cheese flat bread, 1 mile burger, and the Lingcod…Everything was delicious (even our picky toddler ate. Ha)! We were very satisfied with our experience and would definitely recommend whether you’re visiting from out of town or local.

Gorgeous views, spacious parking lot, and actual food options with wine pairings. We enjoyed our time at Summerhill Pyramid Winery where we had a lunch of chicken and salmon and shared a glass of wine. The interior is very clean and is separated into a dining section and a wine tasting section. There are also patio seating which looks out to the river and the vineyard. There is also a small gift shop and of course you can buy all the wine that you have taste tested. There is a small mini putt outside for the kids to enjoy.

I recently visited Summer Hill Winery and was blown away by the quality of their white wines! The tasting room was warm and inviting, with knowledgeable staff who walked us through their impressive selection. I especially loved their crisp with a hint of sweet notes EHRENFELSER White Wine. The vineyard tour was equally delightful, offering stunning views and insightful stories about their winemaking process. You can tell they truly care about every bottle they produce.

Truly excellent lunch to be had here with a selection of their own wines. What we drank was indeed extremely good wine. There is an opportunity being missed to offer a full tasting menu. And as a comment we chose the winery as sushi was advertised on the website but was no longer available in house. Children’s offer was nothing less than limited. A pasta. Equally wines are not cheap by the glass so we had only one glass. The terrace offers superb views if the lake while we ate.

Yelp
THE BIG: Organic and biodynamic winery in South Kelowna. Tasting room is long and a little dated but with gorgeous views of the lake. Plenty of parking available on site. Big globe and instagrammable bottle pouring sparkling. THE BLACK AND WHITE: We came here after a long drive for dinner and a tasting. We had reserved a table for dinner and was able to sit immediately. Unfortunately, Summerhill doesn't do tastings at the table, only at the tasting room. We opted for a glass of their marechal foch, which was really nice. It was light tannins and very acidic. As for food, we got the half chicken, fries, and they had a deal on oysters for HH. 5 oysters + a sparkling wine! What a deal! THE FINAL BAMBOO: Tastings are $10 CAD for 4 pours. Great pricing and definitely a must try. Our dinner that had the half chicken, fries, HH oysters, and a glass of red wine was around $97 CAD.

Yelp
Back for a second year in a row to Summerhill Pyramid Winery. We dropped in on a dead Tuesday evening (6:30pm). No wait and our pourer (Melissa) was very sweet. Tastings are $10.00/person for 4 pours but the fee is waived with a bottle purchase. - Cipes rose nv - 2021 Biodynamic chardonnay - 2008 Cipes blanc de noirs - a limited edition bottle for Pride. - 2021 Alive white - 2021 Pinot noir - 2021 Biodynamic pinot noir - 2021 Baco noir - our favourite of the reds. Bought a bottle ($29.00) for home. - 2019 Cabernet sauvignon

Yelp
Second time at this winery, second time at the tasting and second time having lunch. Has not yet disappointed. The views are breathless and the Cipes Brut is amazing. A lot of stories behind this vineyard which is captivating but the food sitting at the lookout with mist on ur face... must try. The food is both well portioned tasty and decently priced. As mentioned, a must do when in kelowna!! Our tour guide Sylvie was excellent for the tour and tasting and very knowledgeable. Definitely answered any questions we threw at her.

Yelp
Our fifth and final winery stop was at Summerhill Pyramid Winery. They're a 100% organic winery with a restaurant attached, Summerhill Pyramid Bistro. This was the busiest winery we went to all day (they were also hosting a wedding reception outside). Tastings are free and we were able to sample 4 pours each. We decided to try 8 wines and do our own side by side comparison. Appreciate you can pick from their huge selection (total of 21 options consisting of sparkling, white, rosé, red and dessert wines). Bottles are in the $20.00 to $100.00 price range. They have three specialty dessert wines that are even pricier ($95.00 to $188.00). Our pourer was fantastic; knowledgeable, relaxed and had a perfect tempo. - Cipes brut nv - this sparkling was a little sweeter. - Cipes blanc de blanc 2012 - our favourite of the two sparklings. More rounded and balanced. - 2021 Biodynamic grüner veltliner - my favourite of the 8 wines that we tasted. Smooth, soft and earthy. - 2020 Ehrenfelser - apricot hits the nose but a bit too sweet for our liking. We were told that the 2018 ehrenfelser ($20.00) was more balanced so we bought a bottle to try. - 2016 Spadefoot toad syrah - medium-bodied red with black pepper and leather notes. - Keter nv - full-bodied red with berry and mocha notes. - NV chalice - this was described as being pecan pie in a glass. Tasted more like dry fig. Couldn't drink too much of this one. - 2011 Second press syrah - our favourite of the two dessert wines. Balanced sweetness with some minerality. Better organic wines than we expected at Summerhill Pyramid. Don't let the tourist stigma deter you from checking this winery out.

Yelp
I loved Summerhill. The location was close to where we were staying, but may be a bit further from the main areas where tourists tend to stay. The view was spectacular and it was a perfect day. It's called Summerhill and the winery sits on top of a hill overlooking the lake. We sat on the patio for dinner and watched the sun set. The food at the Bistro was overpriced, but expected it to be. I loved my beef tar tar. The steak could have been more tender and I loved the side of the potato pave more than the steak itself. Service was excellent. Try the award winning rose. Refreshing on a hot day.

Yelp
My review is of the restaurant not the tasting room. They recently re-opened with what I consider to be a limited menu. While the service is good the food I had left a lot to be desired. I was there for a birthday dinner and I shared the rockfish with a friend and requested Caesar salad to go with it. The salad came without dressing so I requested a side of it. One of the other attendees had requested the same salad as her main and had to do the same. Who makes a Caesar salad without dressing?? The rockfish was grilled and served whole on a bed of steamed vegetables. The rockfish was full of bones, had a very strong fish taste and odour and didn't appear to have any seasoning. The server had the kitchen staff divide the fish for us which was kind. Unfortunately I didn't find out until too late that they divided it unevenly and my friend had the head and very little meat! Fortunately the vegetables were lovely - but for $47 one expects better. UPDATE: I called and spoke with the manager (Aaron) who was very understanding and helpful. He listened to my concerns and promised to provide my feedback to the kitchen. Also offered me a gc for a future dining experience to compensate for the disappointment.

DeeJay C.

Yelp
Beautiful!!!!! So instagram worthy. But the highlight was the food! Everything was delectable and the service is top notch!

Dan G.

Yelp
They have an amazing selection of sparkling wine that rivals some of the best champagne I've ever tasted.

Valerie B.

Yelp
This was the wine tasting that we enjoyed the least. There is no tasting fee but we did not care for any of the wines. The server was taking care of our table as well as another table and did not really take time to give us much of an explanation on any of the wines. She was just rushing us through. We would not serve some of the wines that they were serving, they were that bad and also pricey for the quality. Undrinkable This is a definite miss.

Yelp
Summerhill Winery was a great experience. I really appreciate how many vegan options they had. My mom and I went for happy hour in their bistro and although the drinks were very reasonably priced for happy hour, their food was quite expensive. I would probably pass up on the grazing board. Everything was delicious but $26 for the grazing board plus the extra $14 for the vegan cheese was excessive. Additionally, the two vegan cheeses for the $14 were about an inch long and wide each (you can see them in the photo). If I ever return, I'll only be going for the wine. I can't imagine what the price for food is when it's not happy hour!

Dinel U.

Yelp
This place is a must stop if you are going to the Okanagan for winery. The Covid restrictions have been lifted so there isn't a long line up anymore. Wine tastings are $10 per person and includes 4 wines of your choice. My favourite was the 2017 Summerhill Riesling. While sipping on the wine you can view the amazing vines outside and the wonderful mountains in the area ! After wine tasting you can reserve a lunch or dinner menu. Their menu is different for each season. The meals are ok but wasn't extraordinary. My suggestions is going here for the atmosphere and to enjoy the winery and environment around the area.

Alison G.

Yelp
Whether visiting for a wine tasting, relaxing in the dining room, or soaking in the vineyard and lake views from their year-round patio while enjoying fresh, local organic menu, Summerhill Winery is not to be missed during your next Okanagan visit.

Stevie S.

Yelp
Loved it! Super fun and tons of delicious wine! I love how they do their tastings, like before Covid. Not formal in any way. Our Taster was cute, knowledgeable and fun. Ice Wine was fun too! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This was the last stop of our Kelowna wine tour on June 27. My friend and I arrived around 4:30 pm and it was still quite crowded. We had to first sign in on an iPad and then check in with the host stand to get our name on the list. We were taken inside after maybe 15 minutes, which wasn't too bad given how many people were on the list before us. I think it helped we were only a party of 2, as most of the other groups were larger in size. The tastings are all done indoors, but the outside of the winery is decorated beautifully with great lake views as well. It was easy to kill time taking pictures while waiting. Tastings are $10/person. It includes 4 wines of your choice from an extensive menu that has sparkling, white, rose, and reds. There's a separate icewine menu that's included if you ask for it. Of the wines I tried (NV Cipes Brut, 2018 Ehrenfelser, 2017 Summerhill Riesling, and 2017 Pinot Blanc Icewine), I enjoyed the Ehrenfelser the most. We bought a bottle of that and the 2015 Pinot Noir Icewine (part of my friend's wine tasting) home.

Yelp
Great wine tasting. Friendly knowledgeable staff. We really enjoy bringing our out of town guests here. Chris and Jenny.

Yelp
What an amazing meal! Everything from start to finish was wonderful. The manager ended up making quite a few people on the patio who got there early upset by closing the blinds on the patio which did take a way from the view unfortunately. The food was incredible and we left a feeling full an satisfied. The caprese salad was huge and could be a meal on its own or split between two people. I loved the balsamic jelly pearls that dressed the salad. It was pure prettiness on a plate. Sablefish was cooked to perfection with a beautiful crisp on the skin. The blondie was dense and flavourful. Definitely a beautiful patio to enjoy a glass of wine on.

Yelp
WARNING: Under new staff/management! Complete 180 from Summer 2023. From what was a boutique, high-class winery restaurant, to a dysfunctional mess that gives even your local cheap restaurant a run for their money. They slashed their menu, and their staff by the looks of it. The place was a ghost town even during the first long weekend. Avoid at all costs.

Donnel P.

Yelp
Had dinner at The Bistro and our experienced was fantastic. The place was very busy and needs a reservation to get a spot. The staff are attentive, friendly and wearing face coverings all the time. The food was great, very tasty, flavorful and have a very good presentation. This place is highly recommended and will definitely go back here. We gave 20% tip as we are very happy with our visit.

Shelley H.

Yelp
Summerhill was a fantastic experience! They have wine tastings on both sides of their building and had a see-through glass enclosure in the middle for guests to see the wine barrels. The feature wall was also a highlight. For wine tastings, the server was amazing! He made friendly conversation with guests and also gave the history and background behind each wine. The pyramid was a self-guided tour and nice. The view was panoramic and they had scenic points to take photos.

Jennie L.

Yelp
In general really good. We made reservations for lunch and we didn't like the seating becase our daugher who is disabled couldn't sit there. They were quick to find anohter seating. And it was good. Our server was friendly and helpful. She was quick to bring water and drinks. The food was decent. I ordered the 32 dollar seafood special, my kiddo ordered th3 32 gnocci.. My husband ordered the burger. Our littlest orded the pizza. Kuddos to the restaurant who brought our kids mieal earlier so she could eat. It was a very generous portion. All of our meals came out in a timely manner. They were all good. However the food didn't stand out. We felt like that we were paying more for the experience rather than the actual food. The food in general was decent but not amazing. The atmosphere was lovely So go here if you want to sample wine and try things. i wouldn't come here again if it was just for the food.

Tracy O.

Yelp
Went for a tasting and a glass of wine on the terrace with out of town visitors at 330pm on a warm sunny April Sunday . Something odd seems to be happening .We had to order and pay at the front desk before even being seated .You then carry your beverages to the table yourself .The same for food except a server brings the food when ready .The place was very quiet with no sign of the usual tour buses and tasters The wine was a now reasonable $ 10 a glass and the view still beautiful however strikingly not the slick trendy bustling operation it once was on this particular day.

Yelp
It does sound like two locations. Summerhill. Pyramid. One is original, the other not so much. After some research, I concluded that it is not called Summerhill Pyramid. It is called Summerhill, and it is a Pyramid Winery. I honestly don't know what that meant, and given Summerhill is the only one with the title, I decided to look up their claims. And I need to preface by stating the next five sentences are completely insane. The man behind Summerhill, Stephen Cipe--considering himself a spiritual visionary at "Canada's most visited winery"--attributes the winery's success to the unique process of utilizing the sacred geometry of their signature pyramid, designed as a perfect scaled replica of the larger one in Giza, to instill their wine with the same positive essense naturally occurring in all life forms. Lacking any ferrous components and placed to face True North, this platonic solid rests on a region devoid of interference energy and is placed on dirt compacted to 100%. This results in the pyramid acting as an interface between positive and negative space-time, a bridge between matter and anti-matter, and becoming the gate through which two realities meet and interact. This is related to Einstein's theory of relativity, specifically his predictions on the existence tachyons (faster-than-light particles). Time and space are distorted within the pyramid and would most likely explain how the builders of the great pyramids in Egypt were able to employ negative space-time to levitate huge stones and build the pyramids in the first place. And somehow this also makes wine taste better. So that's a thing. By the way, I was not exaggerating or interpreting implications--most of that above was near-verbatim on Summerhill's website, which I invite you to explore. If that sounds insane to you, congratulations, you're still a rational human being; you can read on and hopefully be wavered on your decision to visit this winery. If you believed it all reasonable and lucid, be warned, because I'm about to make you very upset. This is an example of data mining pseudoscientific sources and combining them with numerology and astrology along with long-debunked theories that serious science left behind a very long time ago in hopes of selling overpriced alcoholic beverages already fighting dubious claims about their benefits. Here's the uncomplicated truth about humans, we evolved as pattern recognition machines, finding answers in chaos. Our desperation to explain everything when we knew almost nothing gave rise to the mythologies of antiquity. Summerhill attempts to weave confirmation bias, ignorance, and good old-fashioned quackery into a soup of utter nonsense to justify their business. Oh, did I mention that the Sunset Bistro restaurant inside the winery serves amazing food? Seriously, it's amazing. Thankfully, most review sites separate bistro from the winery, allowing me to rate them separately. You don't even have to search long to find verified evidence debunking every single point made on Summerhill's website. The data they "cite" isn't even accurate--they list dimensions of the Giza pyramid to justify numerology, but then list incorrect numbers. There's no doubt the pyramids at Egypt, and other locations are amazing historical monuments. And the designers were intelligent in constructing them. But they didn't employ magic--they used their brains to solve problems. They are tombs to narcissistic despots, and anything more than that is just a plot point in Stargate. I won't waste any more of my word budget into the absurdity Summerhill attempts to sermonize. I have issues with their over-priced wine, a result of them justifying their bankrupt spirituality. They claim themselves the most visited winery in Canada, and like everything else, it's unverified. If you search for the best wineries in BC or all of Canada, Summerhill fails to top any of those lists. Can I name better wineries? Having been to over 90 wineries in BC alone, I can think of about thirty, ten just in Kelowna. Well before I even discovered the questionable claims of Summerhill, several friends and I had tried their Alive Organic Wine at a local festival. It wasn't until I entered the winery did I discover that the brand was produced at Summerhill. Back then, we all unanimously agreed that Alive was the worst wine we had ever tried, and we've sampled wine from juice boxes. Summerhill only got close to a pass with their Ehrefelser, the only bottle reasonably priced. We were on our second wine trip of three in a single year. In that time, we visited the best the Okanagan had to offer. I will offer praise in its own review that the paired restaurant, Sunset Bistro, is authentic and delicious, well-staffed, with an amazing view, and well-decorated plates. But avoid the winery at all costs, lest you also support homeopathy, faith healing, dowsing, or phrenology.

Yelp
Lovely wine, really enjoyed tasting the Brut! Quite fun to hear about the pyramid and how it's use as a cellar. We enjoyed it and the views. Outside there is a giant wine bottle and champagne flute that's perfect for photo opportunities. Needs must. Inside, the winery is tastefully decorated with beautiful accents like the fabulous lighting, and there is a lovely restaurant taking advantage of the views too. Attached to the winery is a gift shop selling art, jewelry, BC honey and even salmon. Lots to see, taste and enjoy here. Thanks to Experience Wine Tours for adding this to our itinerary.

Chelsey H.

Yelp
Great wine and great lady who poured our tastings. She was a wine fanatic and it really got me excited to go out of my way to try wines I normally don't drink -- I'm a white wine kind of gal, but she made me excited about some reds. The place is beautiful and typical well established winery (less hip and funky as some of the other places in the Okanagan that have more artsy themes).

Jeff M.

Yelp
What can be said of an impeccably run winery with an amazing staff and excellent wines. We had an amazing few hours here at Summerhill there were a couple of issues with our meals and I had an off glass of wine with the pairing but was handled quickly and efficiently by the amazing staff. Great place highly recommended. Thanks Summerhill you are amazing!!!

Denise W.

Yelp
I am not a wine fan so to me, I don't know what to expect. I didn't do any sampling here. We were thinking about doing the wine tour but they changed the time. So that didn't happen. We walked around and looked at the winery . Its definitely very big. There is a pyramid at the back which we took a photo of. This is a tourist attraction place. We found a parking easily eventhough there are a lot of people here. We noticed tour buses actually stops here.

Marta J.

Yelp
Average wine. Overpriced food. Tacky decor. Nice views. The icing on the cake was visiting the washroom on my way out which was labelled "LADIE'S" - I guess no one bothered to run the signage by an English speaker before posting it? The details matter, and the owners missed the mark on this one. At the entrance next to the mini put installation (wtf?) was an overheated, overtired dog in need of some TLC. Very unappetizing for a winery. Who is your clientele?! This place needs a major overhaul and can easily be skipped in any tour of the Okanagan region.

Hangry M.

Yelp
3.5/4 I have a sweet tooth and enjoyed the ice wines. Wish there was better discounts and a membership subscription of sorts.

Cassandra H.

Yelp
We absolutely LOVE Summerhill Winery; from the food, the wine (of course), the atmosphere, but most of all, the wonderful people. The winery owners and staff are so gracious, welcoming to all and so accommodating. Nicole, the wedding coordinator, is so wonderful to work with; she is fun, very knowledgeable and a very welcome addition to the wedding side of the winery. You can tell everyone at Summerhill loves what they do, as it truly shows. And on top of it all, the location/venue is beyond stunning!!

Zeke L.

Yelp
First let me say that the views are second to none. We sat inside and had the pleasure of seeing the sunset after an afternoon shower. The colors, the music choices, the staff, all blended to bring about an experience that touched all the senses. The food was simple and delicious, the clams and lamb dish stood out as culinary mastery pieces. I would go again at the drop of a hat.

Tony O.

Yelp
I really liked the bed and breakfast here and would want to go some day soon. The breakfast was good and a different vibe eating with strangers on the same table and realized everyone was from somewhere else and touring just like us.

Yolanda S.

Yelp
Reading through some of the other reviews here makes me wonder if they visited the same winery as I did!! My girlfriend and I visited and arrived for the tour which explained the process of how and why they are rated organic and bio dynamic. We had the chance to go inside the pyramid which was a truly neat opportunity. It's wrong to judge if you haven't taken the time to actually spend time at this winery without taking a complimentary tour and actually learning how and why they do things the way they do. Followed by the tour we had a wine tasting, I fell in love with their Gewurztraminer. We enjoyed the happy hour on the bright patio overlooking the beautiful Lake Okanagan, hard to pass up at $5 glass of wine or $6 cocktail!!! They also have a nice light happy hour menu of which we had the cheese and bread board. We had a most fantastic server, Brittney, who took the time to chat with us about what life is like living in the Okanagan. We enjoyed ourselves so much we ended up staying all afternoon and into the dinner hour. I had the Kale Cesar salad which paired amazingly with the Gewuzt. followed by the S'More tart for dessert. Beautiful spot with great views, wine and food. This is a must see.

Lisa W.

Yelp
Lunch here was amazing! The view and decor were all class. Non-stop views of the lake. The staff were super friendly. We ended up having a 3-course meal. We started with the vegan calamari. It was very flavourful and had a nice crisp texture. For mains we had the ramen and Arctic char. The broth was rich and meaty. The desserts were sensational. My son loved everything. They had lots of no dairy and gluten free options. We can't wait to go back. My only caution is don't come here if you're in a rush. It wasn't slow, but it's leisurely. Oh right! The wine. Also lots of great options and a post lunch sampling was the perfect way to end a meal.

Vivian A.

Yelp
We came here to attend a wedding. The venue was beautiful and the staff was super friendly. The views were amazing. While the adults went on a wine tour, the ones that stayed back got to drink the wine. They were all very tasty. The food they catered for the wedding consisted of: salmon, pesto chicken, and lamb. The salmon was really good and the ladies at our table had seconds, lol. Our friend who got married here said this was one of the very few wineries that had all of their vendors in-house so everything was taken care of being this was a destination wedding.

Travis G.

Yelp
Second visit to this gorgeous winery with a stall at view, but our experience food wise wasn't as good as the first :( Ordered the vegan chessboard and it didn't have many varieties this time around. Or as much in general. The cheese it did has was great though. I had the grilled tofu and although it was good, the price for what you got was a bit of a stretch. My wife had the vegan Wellington again and I was jealous. It was as good as the first time. The four stars is definitely for the view, the wine, and the service.

Yelp
Love, love, love this winery. I came in 2014 before the massive renovation when it used to be a more humble and small winery. A lot has changed since then! Their parking lot is massive, they have a bistro, outdoor (with rain cover) wine tasting along with indoor wine tasting. Their tastings are free, unlike a lot of wineries in the area. We are obsessed with their gewurztraminer. So much so we have 4 cases of it so we don't run out. We bring them to parties or gift them etc. We've had gewurztraminer from other places and they just don't compare. This time we branched out and tried the ehrenfelser and the alive white. Both were fantastic. Our car was already full and family was planning a visit soon so we kindly asked that they pick up a case of the alive white for us to add to our collection. I also really love their ehrenfelser. It's sweeter than the gerwurtzerminer so might not be everyone's cup of tea. The lady who helped us during the wine tasting was fantastic and enthusiastic about the wines they offered. No pretentiousness even though they have a lot to be proud of with their award winning wines. What a fun experience and we really enjoyed the gorgeous view. The winery is also dog friendly which we appreciated. The lady who did the wine tasting even gave our dog a treat. I guess she deserved it considering we were getting liquid treats ourselves :D

Yelp
Went for dinner. Ordered the duck. It was awful. I'm not one to complain about a meal but it was SO salty I didn't enjoy a single bite. For $27 I expect a meal that is edible.

Yelp
This is an amazing winery! The wine here is delicious, I highly recommend coming here for a wine tasting. The sparkling are all so good and the ice wine. We can't wait to come back again for more wine! The location is beautiful and the views are so nice.

Yelp
We had dinner here tonight to end off our friend's Bachelorette. The view from the restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great. We all really enjoyed our food, and the service was excellent too. I had the squid which was really flavorful and perfectly cooked. We also shared the pickled salad and it was great and dressed just the right amount. I then had the pheasant for my main course; it was good, but lacked a little flavour. My friends had the halibut cheeks and they were flavorful and cooked nicely. I think I would stick with seafood the next time I come because it was all fresh and perfectly cooked. I will be bringing my husband back for his birthday in July, and I'm looking forward to trying more of the dishes.

Yelp
This was one of the stops included on our wine tour in kelowna & it was by far one of my favorites!!! They had an amazing view of the lake & so many wines available for complimentary tasting. Jake helped us out & was very kind and helpful :)

Yelp
Great place. It has so much potential if they put some effort into the details. It feels like an old place when it could feel like a vibrant industry leader.

Yelp
This is a beautiful winery that also has a wonderful restaurant attached. The views across the lake provide a picturesque setting that is just perfect for eating and drinking wine. The food is absolutely amazing, and reasonably priced too. The wine is so-so. Not bad at all, but probably not worth the price they charge per bottle. I would say $5 per bottle less would be a fair price. If I were to rate solely on the wine, it would be 2 stars, but for the location, food and experience, it's worth a four overall.

Yelp
short and sweet... I enjoyed a stop at Summerhill mid September. Personally, I really enjoy trying local beers and wines on vacation, but don't take it terribly serious (read that as: know/retain very little information about the whole thing). I will not be found drinking import while or beer on vacation or while on visit to a city outside of my current town, period. Anywho, the tour and tasting was informative and fun, not over my head or snobby. I also really appreciate that the winery is organic and has been since day one :)

Yelp
Darling little winery with restaurant overlooking the vineyards. Food was absolutely delicious and the wine tastings were free . I recommend the crispy fish tacos!!You might even see a wedding or two while eating lunch on the deck. There was plenty of parking on the property.

Yelp
Summerhill is a prime example of a winery in the awkward teenage phase of trying to decide whether it is a boutique winery or simply a tourist spot for mass bus tours. Despite the flashy marketing behind the "mystical pyramid" that stores and houses the wine, the wine itself is unfortunately ... underwhelming. It is not nearly at the same calibre of Mission Hill, but tries to attract the same crowd. To be honest, it looks more like a tourist trap than anything with the multiple tour buses coming through the winery every day. If you are into fake pyramids, this may be for you. Otherwise, I would take a pass and go elsewhere. 3 stars. (The bistro looks gorgeous though. Haven't tried the food so won't be able to comment on the food.)

Yelp
I think this place has got too comfortable with being famous. Really inflexible and poor customer service. There are many more wineries in the region you should go to ahead of here.

Yelp
We had a a amazing tasting experience here because we lucked out and got the sales manager. He tasted just about every wine on the menu with us, even opened some vintage bottles for us to try, he definitely made our visit here incredibly memorable. I don't buy into the whole organic, vegan, bio-whatever practices with cow horns stuffed with herbs and buried in the soil that they do, or the pyramid thing, but hey-whatever floats your boat. The reason I am giving it 4/5 stars is because 1- the staff were obviously struggling to keep up with the flow of people, so service was terrible until we were swept up by the sales manager. 2 - get those fans working! It was so unbelievably hot in their tasting room and the ceiling fans weren't on. 3 - I don't like that they are exploiting the west coast native culture to make a few extra bucks from the Asian tourists. This place has absolutely nothing to do with the west coast, so please don't include their culture in your winery to make some extra profit. 4 - cater wayyyy too much to the Asian tourists and it's so in your face.

Yelp
I visited Summerhill Pyramid Winery last week as a member of a large group and was underwhelmed with ever aspect of the visit. The wine testing of 4 various wines was the combined equivalent of 2 oz. of wine. We were a large group who paid $70+/person for a meal that was one step above cafeteria (green salad, roast potatoes, roast vegetables and rigatoni if you are vegetarian); the 70+$/person did not even include a complimentary glass of wine with the meal. I went upstairs to review the restaurant menu ( we were placed in the lower level) and was informed the menu was different for us as a large group. I would recommend NEVER to go as a group; I can not comment on the individual experience in the restaurant. I do know that I had visited Quails Gate Estate Winery in Kelowna the night before and both the food and the service was exceptional-a high level of quality and professionalism! Go to Quails Gate Estate Winery and dine at Old Vines Restaurant if you want a wonderful experience!
