SummerHills Retreat Byron Bay (now Sparkle Tantra)

The owners are very nice and welcoming however the quality of the room, and the facilities do not equate to a 4 or 5 star resort. Whilst the location is very remote and quiet, the villas are not well kept, and have a number of issues which make the stay not pleasant. During our recent stay, the villa had animals crawling inside (we had an infestation of ants), which resulted in several discussions with the owner on how to resolve the issue. In addition to this, there were a number of other issues such as the air conditioning unit which was extremely noisy, the room was extremely tired, WiFi was not accessible in the room (it was advertised as available in all rooms), curtains were extremely old and blinds were not suitable for the windows given that the room was morning sun facing. Overall, be aware that the resort is three star at most, and please do not pay before you have visited.

Just had the most amazing stay. Great room with a view. Friendly staff that are eager to please. Beautiful tranquil property. Highly recommend if you need to escape the hustle and bustle of life

Stayed for a long weekend. The staff are so lovely and helpful. Our room was clean and cozy. And just some breathtaking views. A great romantic getaway.

Wonderful private resort in the hills of Bangalow. The views are spectacular and the service warm and accomodating. A short drive to Byron and Bangalow shops. A real nature retreat!

Came here on a four night, five day retreat. The grounds were gorgeous, the host was amazing, and the course instruction was top notch. Our private cabin was fully equipped, and the host even stocked the fridge for us. Heaps of wildlife and interesting foliage on the well-kept grounds made for interesting walks and beautiful sunsets. We were well looked after and absolutely enjoyed our stay!
