Nice Place to Stay In Shimla. Location is Good. Walking Distance from Mall Road, and Jhaku Temple. Staff is very good and helpful. Food is also good. We had Complimentary Breakfast with our Room. Good breakfast was offered in Buffet style. I enjoyed my stay in this Hotel.

I booked Summit Le Royal Hotel in Shimla for my mom and dad, and overall, they had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in a peaceful area, offering stunning views of the surrounding hills, which added to the charm of their trip. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay. My parents were particularly impressed with the hospitality of the staff, who were polite, attentive, and always ready to assist with any requests. However, the one issue we faced was the check-in process. Although I had requested an early check-in, my parents had to wait for 3-4 hours before getting their room. This was a bit inconvenient, and I hope the hotel can manage such situations better in the future. Despite this, the overall experience was pleasant and enjoyable. I would still recommend Summit Le Royal Hotel to anyone planning a stay in Shimla, especially for families looking for comfort and great service!

Hotel is excellent in every aspect except location. Although hardly 500 metres from Mall Road, the climb is so steep that only very athletic person can do it without getting breathless. There is no lift in the hotel, which means more steps to climb. Otherwise, in terms of cleanliness, furniture, bedding, service etc., there is no doubt it is an extremely good hotel. Hence, the 5 star rating overall, although only 2 stars for location.

I would like to give Rating: 3.5/5 I recently stayed at this hotel with my family, and our experience was mixed. Here are some key points to consider: _Room:_ The room was decent, suitable for a maximum of three members. However, the lack of space was somewhat compensated by the cleanliness and basic amenities. (+0.75) _Bathroom:_ The bathroom was a letdown. The water heater, powered by a gas geyser, had limited capacity, making it challenging to take a warm shower. Additionally, the ventilation was poor, and the shampoo and shower gel were unimpressive. (+0.5) _Facilities:_ The hotel provided basic facilities, but we encountered some issues. We requested an extra bed and mattress for the third member, which were provided, but unfortunately, they were dirty. However, later they changed the bed matrix and bed sheet, which was a positive gesture. (+0.75) _Food:_ Our dining experience was average. On the first day, the capsicum was undercooked, and the paneer had a strong smell. (+0.5) _Staff:_ The staff was helpful and accommodating, changing the bed and bed sheet when we complained about the dirtiness. Their friendly attitude and willingness to assist made our stay more comfortable. (+0.75) _Other issues:_ The hotel lacks a lift, which can be a challenge for guests with mobility issues. The location is convenient, with Mall Road nearby, but the road is steep and may require athletic effort to navigate. Overall, our stay was average, with some positive and negative experiences. While the staff was helpful, the hotel's facilities and services need improvement.

I stayed at Summit Le Royal Hotel, Shimla, during New Year’s, and overall, my experience was mixed. The Pros: The hotel is located very close to Mall Road, which is convenient if you’re looking to explore the area. The staff is helpful—special shoutout to the receptionist who assisted in coordinating with my driver for a pickup to Delhi. The buffet breakfast was delicious, though it featured the same dishes every day. The tea was great! The room and bathroom is largest. The Cons: The rooms are overpriced at INR 28,000 for four nights, considering the overall experience. A friend found a cheaper option last minute on Mall Road with better value. The view from the hotel is decent but not exceptional. The hotel has no heaters outside the room , which is quite uncomfortable in Shimla’s cold weather. The interiors and decor feel dated. If you’re not fit, have bad knees, or are traveling with elderly companions, the steep climb from Mall Road is brutal. It took me 20 minutes each time, and honestly, this ruined my trip. In summary, the proximity to Mall Road is the hotel’s biggest advantage, but it comes with significant trade-offs in comfort and value for money.

We booked Summit Le Royal for three nights during the month of June this year, it was a wonderful stay. Hotel is around 500m steep walk from Christ church. It is difficult for elderly people to climb up while returning from mall road. My parents with age around 62, managed to walk with a few breaks. Getting a taxi from railway station to hotel is quite expensive. Taxi driver charged around 1100 for the same. Hotel is actually at a very good location but since cabs are not allowed on Mall road, they have to drive a bit longer for this hotel. The staff of hotel, its cleanliness, room service, good food, scenic views, never ending supplies of RO water and tea making facility give you a lifetime experience. We were given a welcome drink on our arrival with a warm welcome. The staff was even very friendly with our kid. They never got tired of taking care of us. We felt like home and really felt like surrounded by family. Being a woman, I can say, I felt safe and free that is quite hard to find everywhere these days. I would specially mention Mr. Bablu for his excellent service and some other staff members whose names, I forgot to ask. I would love to stay at this hotel on my every future trip to Shimla and would recommend the same to everyone.
