We decided to stop by for breakfast on a weekday morning. The food is fantastic! We went for Eggs Benedict and an Omelette - we would definitely consider them again. The service was great! We loved sitting outside and taking in the fresh air while savoring the meal. We would certainly consider coming here again.

Google
I rarely give an "all out" review but I can see why this place is top of the list for breakfast here in Siesta Key. The menu isn't too big, and the food comes out quickly. The ingredients in/on my "Bikini Bagel" were fresh and well-balanced. Which I greatly appreciated. The avocado on my dish was cut fresh —for my dish. The fig was for sure my favorite —thickly sliced and placed atop the avocado. I was all for it. We're on a quick pass through on our way to Fort Myers, so we needed something quick. What a treat! Totally unexpected to find such good eats. The price is fair for the portions and the vibe outside is a must.

Such a hidden gem! Do not miss this spot in the village! Amazing food, great coffee, & super quick service! Indoor seating (with AC) or outdoor seating. The staff were all so friendly. We went multiple times during our trip & loved it each time. From breakfast sandwiches, chicken & waffles, oatmeal, biscuits & gravy, shrimp po’ boy wrap. Breakfast or lunch — it’s all amazing!

Google
INCREDIBLE food! Came into Siesta Key for the weekend with my partner and stumbled upon this spot. Food was so good and fresh we had to come back the next day! We enjoyed the Elvis Plate, The Shrimp & Chorizo Eggs Benedict & The Huevos Rancheros! 5stars all items. Make sure to ask for the house hot sauce!

Google
What a great place for breakfast. We started our day on Siesta Key with Sun Garden Cafe. The vibe is peaceful yet vibrant. The service was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and delicious. Bring your furry friend…. It’s a must visit place on Siesta Key. Don’t worry about parking… 844 Frog Hop is a great way to get around. They pick us up and dropped us off. It’s the Free Ride service on Siesta Key

Our favorite in the area. Everything is delicious. Jessie was our server and she was amazing. We asked for her every day. She made the experience even more delightful.

Google
The Sun Garden Cafe in Siesta Key Village The Cajun Benedict was fantastic with blackened Mahi-mahi, shrip, and crayfish along with a side of delicious potatoes. The Max's Bliscuit was two eggs, cheddar, bacon on a Buttermilk biscuit...no gravy for Terri. The eggs were a bit more done than the over- easy that was ordered but still a good breakfast. Very good choices, and Tracey, our server was excellent as well.

Google
They are dog friendly! Everyone was super friendly, greeted my dog, and they even gave her a water bowl and treats. I got the sweet potato pancakes and they were AMAZING, probably the best pancakes I've ever had. The service was the best service I have received with my dog. Prices were as expected for Siesta Key. We also brought our large battery to charge since we were camping and needed it for electricity, and they were super accommodating and even moved around a plant to help us access an outlet indoors.

Yelp
Loved this place. 6 of us came for breakfast. There were beautiful big muffins to greet us as soon as we came in the door. Seated right away and coffee was brought shortly after. My husband and I split the eggs florentine. The dish had tons of spinach, asparagus and tomato with a lovely hollandaise that we ordered on the side. Also ordered one pancake which was big and fluffy. The menu was varied. Would love to come back to try the Mexican eggs. Next time we're in the area for sure. At least for one of those amazing looking muffins.

Yelp
at noon, the cafe was busy and bustling with a homey, cozy interior. off the bat, our waitress tracey was very sweet and a great exemplification of southern hospitality. i ordered the liege style belgian waffles with a side of bacon, and my friends ordered the andy's way omelette and the med revival omelette. the waffles were good and interestingly, the bacon really stood out to me. it was very peppery, which was really unique and delicious. another thing that really stood out to me turned out to be the biscuit. i tried some of my friend's side biscuit and it was the best biscuit i've ever had, it was super flaky and buttery with this very interesting flavor profile, it had an herby flavor that was a flavor explosion in your mouth. my friend also said that their side sausage was really delicious and the best sausage they ever had. in general, i was very happy with the experience here and i'd definitely become a regular if i lived in the area. food was great and the service was spectacular. very great vibes all around

Yelp
A happy visit My breakfast visit today was exceptionally good. I was greeted as I walked up and when I opted to sit outside on this beautiful morning, shown to a table among the greenery. It was a peaceful pleasant place with few other customers. I decided to order The Kitchen Sink, a build your own omelette from your choice of almost 20 different ingredients. You get to select four. I assume you can select more for an additional charge, although I don't see that option on their menu. Four was enough for me, I went with ham, sausage, mushrooms, and cheddar. The food arrived at my table well under 10 minutes. The omelette had a hint of a buttery flavor as well as the flavors from the eggs and the other ingredients. It was exceptionally good. Service was very attentive and happy. This is a dog friendly place with little treats. I was happy, the dogs were happy, everybody was happy.

Yelp
Wow, what a breakfast! Great variety to pick from, delicious food and drinks, attentive service, and best coffee on the key!! Happy to revisit this 5 star cafe after 10 years. Highly recommend.

Lauren P.

Yelp
Hands down the BEST breakfast in Siesta Key. Whatever you order WILL BE delicious! Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu!

Heather B.

Yelp
Super helpful and yummy! The staff was on it, although busy, they kept up with the demand. The food took a half hour once seated but apologies came from the host and waitress explaining there were some technical errors with orders and our food would be right out. I took a quick bathroom break and when I came back the food was there. My second cup of coffee did taste like it was from the bottom of the pot but if I had told them that, they definitely would've gotten me a fresh cup! My only criticism is the bathroom is in the main room and kind of exposed, just the placement is awkward, otherwise this place is great!

Arlene D.

Yelp
Wonderful place for breakfast whenever you're in Siesta Key. Love the staff who is always so sweet and accommodating. We brought my little dog and sat outside and it was cool and very charming. I ordered the buttermilk biscuit sandwich with egg, bacon and cheese and a side of sweet potato pancakes. The sandwich was very large, tasted good but the biscuit was a bit dry. Pancakes were okay, but not a dish I would order again. The dish of the morning were the Huevos Rancheros mydaughter ordered...wow, wow, wow! We agreed that it's the BEST we've ever had and I found myself taking bites from her plate. Everything about this dish was absolute perfection down to the beans which tasted homemade. Recommend you add this to your list of breakfast places to visit when in the area.

Yelp
Came back to town and this time with the family, visited the sun garden cafe and the food was wonderful just like the first time 5 years ago.

Amy S.

Yelp
Great service. Came around 9:30am and got a table for 5 right away! My whole table loved their food. I ordered the cookie butter stuffed french toast, it was amazing 5/5. Very nice restaurant would recommend!! Credit/debit accepted. Kid friendly.

Myra M.

Yelp
Our favorite breakfast/brunch place in Siesta Key. They have a great outdoor area and are dog friendly which is a big bonus. The generous avocado toast is delicious and the egg dishes have not failed to please our palates. Service is always good and prompt.

Andrew T.

Yelp
Excellent quality food with friendly service. Food came out hot and quickly. Always the go to spot in Siesta Key.

Camsie M.

Yelp
Many many breakfasts and many years later, Sun Garden continues to be our favorite spot in Siesta Key village. Friendly service, super fresh and tasty food- all combined with good music and a chill vibe. The sweet potato pancakes never disappoint and I dream about the Baba O'Reily all year until we return.

Evanka A.

Yelp
Ordered the Feelin' Good and Katy's Coffee off the menu. I think the best way to describe this place is it's a hole in the wall, brunch spot for a late morning, with food that tastes momentarily good. I wouldn't go here searching for the best brunch meal in Sarasota- our table had agreed the eggs that were cooked were so coated and doused in butter that it made us feel slightly queasy. The veggies and cheese were all cooked through, but there wasn't anything that necessarily enhanced their flavors (so we tossed on our flavors of hot sauces available). The service was pretty general, diner-like and felt like the people working there knew the regulars and had been serving those in Sarasota for a long time.

Trish S.

Yelp
The perfect mix of Florida sun, vacation, and a pinch of hippie vibe. We arrived around 9:15am on a Wednesday and it was lively, but now wait (yay!). The outdoor patio is completely covered and the tables have chairs and double chair/benches that were comfy and fun. I wanted to order everything on the menu. We ended up with the sausage style Benedict, Flower Child omlette and a side of sausage. All fantastic. The pouched eggs on the Benedict were the most perfectly poached eggs I have ever seen and so We saw the sticky bun walk by and had to leave before we got diabetes would order and split next time! Shoutout for a gf toast option and very accommodating to dietary requests.

Rose V.

Yelp
This morning I wanted something quick so I could get settled after moving into my beach house and found this gem on yelp. I called in a to-go order here on a whim. Barb took my order and was so sweet and helpful. I got the Elvis chicken plate, the sticky bun, and an iced vanilla oatmilk latte. Barb waited to make my coffee until I got there so it wasn't watered down (such a nice and thoughtful touch). Coffee was strong, balanced and really good! And the food was yummy as well! I recommend the Elvis if you want to be totally satisfied (but then feel guilty like you need to go to the gym later. It literally was delish so no regrets) they have healthy options on the menu as well but I totally ignored those today ;) will definitely bring my friends here. The patio was nice! Parking situation wasn't too bad either.

Heather D.

Yelp
Food was delicious and service was good! Definitely recommend to stop in for breakfast.

Diandra L.

Yelp
This spot was so cute for our last day breakfast! There is a very cute outdoor seating area but it gets pretty full, so we opted to sit inside for a quicker experience. The menu is filled with breakfast classics. Sandwiches, Benedicts, sweets, etc. I opted for a Benny and a bloody mary and loved them Both. Portions are huge so you can most definitely share. Friendly service and super affordable!

Taylor M.

Yelp
I'm so glad we got to stop here for breakfast! We walked in around 8am on a Saturday and were seated immediately. Service was excellent and food was to die for. Truly some of the best hollandaise sauce I've ever had and that's really saying something. I wish I was in the area longer so I could explore more of the menu. If I was local to the area, I would definitely be a regular. The vibes were RIGHT

Elena B.

Yelp
Everything was delicious ! We both had the Tuna sandwich which was amazing! Love the outside seating...it's a great place for brunch! The staff was super friendly!

Kathy P.

Yelp
Outstanding food. Had Cajun Benedict. Excellent distinct flavors. Hollandaise home made and best I have ever had. Service is also outstanding. And they welcomed my havanese teddy. Have a Kims bloody adult cocktail. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Mothers little helper 8/10 Toffee sticky bun 4/10 Lieges Waffle 2/10 Huevos Rancheros 9/10 Service 7/10 Atmosphere 8/10 Our total bill came out to 53.82 which consisted of waters, a toffee sticky bun, an alcoholic beverage (mother's little helper), and for our main course liege waffles and the Huevos Rancheros. Overall the food was disappointing. The waffles tasted like they have been sitting out for hours and you would think that a restaurant would make fresh waffles in the morning. The toffee sticky bun was underwhelming. It was a dried up cinnamon roll drenched in toffee syrup. The mother's little helper was average, no problem there. Then the only redeeming quality of the meal was the Huevos Rancheros. The only reason it is a 9/10 was because of there was not enough jalapeños on it. The dish itself was very well made with a nice crunch below the perfectly cooked egg. It was covered in a wonderful tasting red and green sauce. The service was good, albeit maybe a little rushed. Finally, the atmosphere was calm and it felt very cozy. Plenty of shade and provides an indoor and outdoor seating. For the price that you pay I did not think it was worth the quality of food received.

Chris P.

Yelp
100% recommended. The Ziggy was delicious. Coffee was fantastic, staff was delightful.

Carol S.

Yelp
Very accommodating to my dog! Great atmosphere! Fantastically done food and beverages and nice guests around us as well! We had the Cajun Benedict and Cinnamon Brioche French Toast! Outstanding! Top notch Bloody Mary too!

Javi S.

Yelp
Always a good experience. A monthly visit for sure, maybe couple visits a month! Can't go wrong with Elvis or Mississippi queen!

Thomas L.

Yelp
Updating my previous review. This restaurant was on my last review part of a 25 restaurant Egg Benedict restaurant round up where we were seeking the best eggs benedict in the Sarasota to Venice corridor. We were on Siesta Key and my daughter was home from college so we thought a safe bet. Not sure if that previous review will get wiped out or not. (I jumped back in to edit and spell check this one and the 6 month ago one is below and indented, not sure what Yelp does these days - check it out for the first visit and the other breakfast round up contestants) However my wife and I got the eggs benedict again. Me the traditional ham and my wife the Florentine. Eggs were done properly although min a little runny white....could have used a few seconds more. None of the ordering issues of the first visit. These are two GOOD versions of this breakfast classic. The grits are not the best we have had, the potatoes are very wholesome albiet a little grill grease heavy, but certainly flavorful. Almost like au gratin potatoes. My daughter got the properly cooked over-easy eggs. and a pancake that is a bit grainy and gritty. Not a great mix or maybe not mixed enough? I should have read my last review BEFORE we ordered again. She got the sausage patty again and had one bite. She coined it AWFUL last time. they must have given that one back to her as this one was un-edible. I took a 'dad bite' to check it out and it almost tastes like a discarded used piece of 'spiced scrapple'! (coming from a 45 year born and bred Philadelphian that's no compliment.) So I am not going to be 'a hater' on this and its not taken down a star, but man - get that disc of mystery meat off the menu and find a new supplier, OR find a fresh grille or pan. YECH! Paid for parking 2 blocks away after dropping off the girls and drove around the blocks a few times (frown) - always a Debbie downer to pay the town for the 'fourth diners' entrée costs between the wait for a table and the dining time you are in for 2 hours on the clock? (no remote app and you don't want to leave for 15 minutes to feed the meter right?) . Again not the fault of merchants but be aware of course parking IS a factor especially in season.

Dee S.

Yelp
What an unexpected find this morning!! Heading to one of our usual places and happened upon Sun Garden tucked on a side street behind some lovely shrubbery. We scored an outside table with no wait at 8:45am on a glorious Saturday morning. I had the Ziggy Stardust breakfast sandwich (subbed in a bagel at no up charge) as big as my head! Hubby had an amazing baba Riley omelette--the pesto and whatever cheesy sauce was inside made it! All of the staff there were smiling and clearly happy to be there. We'll definitely be back

Oleg T.

Yelp
Food is awesome, anything you order will be delicious, flavors are superb, service is super homy and inviting. Cute decor and it feels like you're at your mom's house eating the most delicious breakfast food. The pictures of plates is a testament to how good it was. We couldn't stop eating and it was too late to stop so no food pictures.

Hitakshi M.

Yelp
I found this place while looking up brunch places in Sarasota and went for their famous sweet potato pancakes. One reviewer described them as buttery, smooth and gooey and I couldn't agree more. So so smooth and filling (sadly couldn't finish mine) -- those healthy complex carbs make this both a solid breakfast and a delicious dessert option when you're just craving some sugar. Very popular place with almost all the tables full for brunch but the staff was still very responsive and attentive to your needs. I didn't feel rushed to finish my meal even though I was eating by myself thanks to my friendly waitress. Must go here if you're on siesta beach -- those pancakes are calling your name!

Vee V.

Yelp
Whoa. Food and service were excellent! I arrived on a Thursday morning shortly after they opened. I was seated quickly at a table of my choosing outside. The patio was fairly large, I didn't go inside to check out the space but that appeared roomy as well. Of course I peeped the menu before I came because I'm a foodie and 99% of the time when I dine out it's preplanned and I already hem and hawed over the menu at home. I tried the Mississippi Queen and the Cajun Benedict. The Mississippi Queen had the perfect melody of sweet, savory, spicy, and tangy. The chicken was crunchy and juicy, the waffle was crispy and soft, everything you want in a chicken and waffle dish. The Cajun Benedict was bursting with flavor, a good smack in the face at 8am. It was loaded with the seafood goodies and the hollandaise sauce was some of the best I've had in a while. Thank you Sun Garden Cafe for a great start to my day!

Laura S.

Yelp
We loved visiting this café twice during our week in Siesta Key. We did have to wait a little while on a Sunday morning, but it was worth the wait. The menu is extensive with tons of options. I had a tough time deciding what to order because everything sounded so good. On my first visit, I had the Flower Child omelette, which was fantastic (and huge - I took leftovers home). I got the Lenny's Burrito (minus the chorizo) on my second visit and it was also delicious. Be sure to ask for hot sauce! The vibe here is laid back and the outdoor area is very cozy and relaxing. We will be sure to return every time we're in Siesta Key.

David C.

Yelp
Fun, food is on point and creative. Staff are pros and make the meal a great time. We went two days in a row it was so damn good

Amanda H.

Yelp
Food was amazing!!! Lots of flavor and just wow. The atmosphere was great, we got sat fairly quickly and the food came out at perfect time. We were a party of 11, and everyone got something different, everyone loved their meals! Would recommend anyone coming to visit wish we would have know this spot sooner in our vacation ! Can't wait to come again

Daniela D.

Yelp
Everything at this place is delicious. You will not be disappointed. The bacon has a maple taste to it, which is fabulous and the people there are so kind. No matter what you get on the menu you'll love it!

Kara S.

Yelp
What a lovely place to get breakfast/lunch in the village! They are very dog friendly too! Both times I have eaten here, a dog bowl of water was immediately brought out for the little guy. I have only every dined in their outdoor seating which is a really cute patio surrounded by trees and greenery. I would say it is a little bit pricier than the other breakfast places nearby, but they seem to have better quality, "healthier" food. They have lots of menu options to appeal to everyone. I ordered Ashley's Avocado Toast and I really liked it! They definitely didn't skimp on the avocado or the scrambled egg. However it comes with one tiny piece of toast which seemed odd compared to the proportions of the other ingredients. My dad thoroughly enjoyed the Cajun Benedict and would definitely recommend that. I also was impressed by how quickly our food came after ordering it. Well done Sun Garden!

Jeremie T.

Yelp
Food was amazing, service was slower than I would have expected, patio was very nice and the inside is your typical diner. I have the BLTA and I wish that I was back in Florida to order it again.

Andrew L.

Yelp
Adorable place. Service was great as well. All of our food was amazing. The cinnamon sticky bun. OMG. Was oh so good. Portions are huge. If I had to say one negative. I was not a fan of the SG potatoes. Way to much better and they were greasy and oily. Didn't taste bad just to much for me. Prefer traditional breakfast potatoes or hash browns. I still highly recommend this spot. It's our fav breakfast spot on siesta and lido key

Melissa C.

Yelp
Been here a few times and food was good. This time the eggs were greasy and potatoe with the breakfast was mushy and tasteless. I would offer home fries instead of that. The coffee is good.

Anson M.

Yelp
Great little spot. Outdoor seating is amazing and the food and service have never disappointed!

Cyara F.

Yelp
Out of all the restaurants our group went to in Siesta Key, this place had the absolute best food! Large portion sizes and very friendly waitstaff. We were able to call ahead the same morning and ask them to reserve a table for a large party, which the lady was very happy to do. Everyone loved their food. The cinnamon roll one of the girls order looked absolutely divine! It had everyone's head turning. We also had the Nutella stuffed French toast, Lenny's burrito, chicken and waffles, and biscuits and gravy to name a few - not a single complaint!

Linda D.

Yelp
Loved the food, service and ambience of eating outside. Had a few bees, but they had a way to deal with them and the meal went on. Excellent lunch- breakfast all day!

Haley S.

Yelp
I struggled to decide what to order originally, because the menu is huge and just about everything sounds really good! They have a ton of unique options, ranging from whole, healthy fresh foods and decadent, sugary delights. I wanted at least three of their sandwiches as well as two omelets and a baked good (or three) to go! I'm glad I settled on the Blisscuit because it really, really good. Coming from me, that says a lot. I am an avid biscuit lover, some might even call me a biscuit connoisseur (jk) I live in Charleston, for Christ's sake and am a regular consumer of biscuit breakfast sandwiches. It's my go to breakfast food! So, I know a good biscuit when I eat one. And friends, this is a dang good biscuit. In fact, it's the best biscuit I have had in a long time. It was buttery, flakey, light, and not overly cooked, crunchy, or dense. This breakfast sandwich was so deeply satisfying. The bacon was superb-- very crunchy, thick, and flavorful. The eggs were plentiful and also cooked well. I am so glad that this is what I ended up ordering. I will have to come back soon to try more menu items!

Saron B.

Yelp
From service to the food, Sun Garden Cafe delivered 100%. Mimosa was very good, not too sweet as I've had it at other places. Bloody Mary i'd rate as average at best. There is parking right in front of the place so that was very convenient.

Stan K.

Yelp
Truly a hidden gem (semi literally since it's tucked away in what looks to be a garden). The service (Cassie made the difference here), the selection, the quality, and the taste - a star for each at this quaint breakfast spot in SK! What we ordered: 1. Breakfast burrito 5/5: great flavor, fresh ingredients, and the veggies were smirky crispy just how I like it. 2. Crescent beach croissant 4/5: everything you're hoping for in an breakfast sandwich.. only thing it's missing is some texture (perhaps add some avo spread?) 3. Waffle (app portion) 7/5: do not sleep on this. Sun Garden's true Belgium waffle. I can't even describe how delicious and unique this was. Just get it. Will be back. Maybe even during this trip.

Robin M.

Yelp
The breakfast was fresh and delicious, so good we went back for a total of three mornings. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. So nice sitting outside in the garden area. If your near Siesta Key this is a gem.

Maria K.

Yelp
We came with a large group of girls on a Saturday and they accommodated us perfectly! We all enjoyed it so much we went back the next day! Great food and great drinks! Their version of hash browns/home fries is very different and they are so delicious! So many options, it was hard to decide what to get. I got the Ziggy Stardust on an everything bagel. The ratio of eggs to bagel was incredible. Generous portions. Everyone loved their meal and cocktails!

Krys B.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, how we LOVE this place. We used to live on the island and go for breakfast at least once a week. Wait staff knew us by name. We moved 10 miles away and today was the first day we had breakfast there in a year. THEY REMEMBERED US!! Never have we had overcooked eggs, dry potatoes, or less than amazingly fresh fruits and vegetables. Every single thing we have ever tried is positively delicious. Great portion sizes and the sweetest staff. And don't get me started on the bacon. My god - it's divine. (And we always take a side order home for our dogs - it's THAT good) I don't drink, but the hubs loves the mimosas and bloody Mary's. Can't go wrong with Sun Garden. Sit outside while you're at it. Love, love, love this place.

K P.

Yelp
When we first pulled up, I was a little deceived by how much personality and atmosphere the Son garden café actually had. We had the pleasure of sitting out on the patio, and even though it was packed, it still felt very personal and quaint. The plants all around just made you feel almost like you were actually in a garden. The weight staff, and the hostess were completely welcoming. They made us feel they genuinely cared about our experience and we're glad to have us there. Be prepared when you order your food is going to come quickly. If you're not quite ready to eat, order a drink and hang out for a while because they are fast and efficient! If I was going to give even one criticism, we wished that they had Pinot Grigio on the menu. Other than that I couldn't even begin to think of anything negative to say.

Adam F.

Yelp
While staying in Siesta Key, we were walking around one evening and found this place tucked away. Looked very cute so we decided to do take out the next morning. We both ordered the Bacon, Egg and Cheese on a biscuit. It was gigantic. Eggs cooked perfectly with plenty of melty cheese. Bacon was a little over cooked. Biscuit was flakey goodness. Appears like lots of seating. I would definitely go.
