Absolute garbage. Food was trash. Im not one to normally bash resturants but this is as bad as it gets. Orders chicken and vegetables with brown sauce. No chicken. I called to see what the deal was. Woman flipped out on me saying it was my fault. Let's be real, do you really think the miscommunication was on my end when I said chicken and vegetables in brown sauce? Extremely rude too. I genuinely think it was a prepared response because it happens often. Do not try this place

I must’ve eaten here three times already and the first two times the food was not bad. They gave plenty of food, but the third time they gave me only three shrimp and the shrimp smelled rotten. I’m never ordering from here again. Waste of money. They need to also fix the place because it looks rundown, dirty and old inside.

Always… the best. Me and my daughter always grab Chinese from here. Generous with food, sauces and fortune cookies. General Tso, veggie lo mein, mix veggies in garlic sauce and side of 4 wings… we only get Chinese from here.

Although I'm usually pleased with Sun Hing, my experience yesterday was poor. I found a piece of plastic when biting into my crab sticks.

We loved this place! However, they stopped taking online payment, so not ordering from them anymore 🥲

I’ve been ordering from here for almost 6 years now! The customer service and the food is great! Delivery’s don’t take too long and the food always arrives hot! Thank you so much! One of my fave restaurants!

Yelp
my wife's chicken fingers raw batter in the middle and what they served me for Kung pow chicken was absolutely disgusting and should never be called food. They cut up what must've been old fried chicken to make the Kung pow and then put in a small amount of fine chopped celery and carrot and peanuts. The funny thing is when I called to say this was not Kung pow chicken. They said all Kung pow chicken has peanuts in it. The peanuts were the only thing that we're good. and yes, all Kung pow has peanuts in it. It was just funny. They thought that's what I was complaining about. Anyway, all this to say it cost $50 for me to not eat my food. Last which could've been my mistake every other time I've ordered Kung pow chicken from any other restaurant. It's a meal and it comes with rice and an eggroll. Unfortunately, here I was just given a giant tray of Kung pow chicken. Lastly, I would've given them no stars, but I had to give one to post this.

Yelp
Vegetable soup was exactly what I needed! Simple, veggie were crisp. Good variety, not overly salty. Nice alternative to steamed or sauced. Of course I couldn't resist an egg roll- thin and crispy and fried perfectly.

Yelp
Absolutely filthy inside. Unfortunately I paid ahead of time otherwise I think I would have walked right out. I didn't even open my food, it went straight in the trash. I would not trust anything that came from this place.

Yelp
Won't be ordering from here anymore now that I know about this additional fee being placed on my card.

Yelp
We ordered online, and arrived at the time we were told. Upon arrival, I was informed that they just received our order. That was a bit of a let down, but then to find the food 2 orders jammed into one container was the next let down. The grease oozed into the foods in a horrific mess. From start to finish, this place was a disaster.

Yelp
I've come here for many years. I'm not what you would consider a loyal customer as I do rotate the different Chinese Take Out establishments I'll go to but I do find this one to be all around a good value. The food is fairly priced, always ready, and while not the best I've had it's pretty darn good. This last visit I got a shrimp dish and it was well seasoned. Shrimp was cooked perfectly without being over cooked. The people working here are usually very friendly. Parking isn't an issue although at certain times of day it can be a hassle to get back out on East Main especially if you want to cross over traffic.

Yelp
I just tried to call in a lunch order- mind you we order from here very regularly- and was yelled at about won ton soup. The guy on the phone was very angry about it for some reason. I just wanted a won ton soup that comes with the lunch special as outlined in their menu. He either said "What kind" or "what size". Either question is confusing to me so I tried giving him the information - "whatever comes with lunch special" and he just went off! Ripped up the menu.

Yelp
I tried to place an order. I was told my order was to small and I live to far away. The person hung up on me. I live in the same town not even 2 miles away.

Yelp
Ordered two orders of crab ragoon with two orders of fried shrimp with fries and got home to completely hollow crab ragoon shells and over cooked shrimp that tasted rubbery. Best part of the meal was the oily fries that could've been used in my truck for an oil change.

Yelp
Absolutely the best Chinese food. So delicious, actually satisfying, always consistent quality.

Yelp
Tried Hot & Spicy Chicken - lots of food for lunch and tasty, though not really spicy. But if you don't want fire-in-mouth-hot this is a nice tasty dish. I'll be back.

Yelp
After putting it off for months, we finally got around to ordering take out here yesterday. The hype of it being in the 100 best Chinese Take outs in CT lured me in, and quite frankly, 'shame on me'. Ok..so it's not awful, but when you get praise for being " one of the best" I expect a bit more.... When will I ever learn: This is CT...it doesn't mean the same thing. I long for the days when I could order a dish extra spicy, and actually get it done that way. Is Hunan style different here? There is definitely something missing in these parts. Maybe they cook for the CT palate...I just don't get it. While the items we ordered, 3 vegetarian, 1 chicken, were certainly edible, it just lacked something. I can't quite put my finger on it....oh yeah, FLAVOR. While I am certain this stuff just HAD to be salty, it didn't seem to have that much flavor. Thankfully I have an arsenal of Asian condiments at home so I can play mad scientist. Points for the Spring Roll....not bad at all. And even with all my whining, I would still (maybe) order from here again, as it is certainly not as dreadful as some other choices. I have to give them points actually having the hot chili oil that I favor, and not that siracha crap that I can't stand! Service is less than personable, but hey, I don't need chit-chat..just give me my food.

Yelp
My most favorite Chinese place! The delivery drivers practically know me by name. I've never had a bad experience with this guys. My food is always pretty much perfect. Only issue I have is its a bit more expensive then some other places.

Yelp
Waterbury, CT certainly has no shortage of takeout Chinese restaurants, and you may think to yourself "Oh they are all the same" and generally you are right. I've been to just about every place around, and yet I keep coming here. They are open crazy late on weekends, so that's always nice, but I love that I customize my orders all kinds of ways and its never a problem. Delivery is quick. Also they were apparently named top 100 in the country (no idea on the criteria for that, but they have the posters.) so I give it the edge on all the other chinese takeouts in the city.

Yelp
Just ordered from them for the first time my fried fish was overcooked shrimp in rice was cold my chicken teryaki was raw i mean raw! Their response when i called them was we cook it like that all the time reguarding the chicken and the fish well it came like that out of the freezer wth so its not fresh like menu says and instead of offering to make right they hung up well the chicken was for my kids thank god they didn't eat it do not order from here order ming wah instead!

Yelp
Usually I limit my order of Chinese food to Won Ton Soup and Fried Dumplings, but last night I decided to go for the Orange Beef, a Szechuan style dish, for which I paid $10.25. Being more in the mood for beef than for breading, I cut open each and every golden brown nugget to find . . . NOTHING. No meat. When I brought my complaint to the restaurant this evening, I was met with righteous indignation "don't you say no meat", the owner chided me. I asked to see an example of what he uses in this dish and he brought out a sample in a little dish. It was a half thumb sized globule of fat with a tiny tip of red (beef?) in the north corner. Any cook will tell you the fat would have melted in deep frying temperatures leaving only it's flavor. AND NO MEAT. Do not order the Orange Beef, which was not even spicy, to add insult to injury. In fact, don't order anything from Sun Hing. The food is a cheat and the owner is not interested in hearing your comments. Deeply disappointed. Two nights in a row. Disappointed last night with the meal and disappointed tonight with the attitude.

Yelp
My wife and I order take out here at least once a month. The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. The quality of the food is great and the portions are large. You can't go wrong for the price either. I highly recommend the General Tso's Chicken and Crab Rangoons.
