Lots of trails to pick from with excellent views of the power of the great missoula floods that created these deep gorges, canyons, valleys, and potholes. Hike, bike, kayak, or fish. It has something for everyone at every level of hiking experience i say. It is hot though, so bring appropriate protection, drinks, etc. Close to an RV park with minigolf, washrooms, and food that is easy walking distance.

Facilities are open but unfortunately the roads leading to most trails were closed for winter. Still the lakeside trail was so beautiful and the whole park pretty quiet and peaceful

Visited on a weekday in November and basically had the place to ourselves. Looks like it gets busy in the summer. Lots of cabins and RV sites. No dispersed camping. Very interesting to view from the observation area on the highway. If you have a Forester or better you can make it down any of the roads within the park.

When I was a child, my family drove right past this natural wonder every summer... without ever stopping! Mom and dad, why, oh why didn't we stop to see Dry Falls?! Simply one of the most astounding displays of nature I have ever seen. Standing there with the realization that only 15,000 years ago, that very spot was under a raging torrent of water more than 400 feet deep with another 400 foot drop for the falls. Just amazing! A must see!

This is a really cool State Park. I would love to come back again and bring my kayak and maybe even do some camping. My friend and I did some exploring but there is so much to explore when I return. Above Dry Falls in a Lookout and a museum so don't forget to check those out also.

The stop came highly recommended from an RV park owner in Wilbur. I'm so glad I stopped just reading about the Dry Falls and seeing it from a Lookout Point was well worth the stop. I wrote on to Leavenworth and Beyond and the scenery was breathtaking. There were desert lake Canyons and as you moved on the water became more prominent the vegetation more green and Lush and smaller campgrounds turned into larger towns and cities. Loved it!

Now it’s on the list as one of my favorite places! This place is amazing from anywhere on the rim to the basin. We camped in rv but there were so many campers in tents… and out in the water and on the island of Sun lake was covered with people. We, however, went further in to explore the smaller pond-like lakes where the wildlife/critters including so many species of dragonflies.

I have camped all over this country and came here for 3 nights to visit the area. The mosquitos were terrible in late May but it’s a great spot. The visitor center is easy to get to and has excellent views. The campground is busy and sometimes noisy but beautiful. The road to dry lake is awesome, do it if your car can handle the road.
