We drove from Boston to the Sun Lodge to see some leaf color in the fall, staying 3 nights and arriving on Tuesday. The Trailhead restaurant inside was closed the first night but plenty of others were open nearby. The room was large with a balcony. It was warm the first night we were there before cold air blew in and we found the AC hard to regulate with the remote, but it was a minor problem. The lodge was not very busy, but the restaurant brought in more folks to eat and we ate there and enjoyed the food. They also serve breakfast sandwiches for $7 in the mornings and we ate those the first morning. Free coffee, hot, cold, and sparkling water are available. A nice game room down in the basement had a pool table, air hockey, ping pong, table hockey, all available to play. The lodge is right next to the larger Bromley Ski resort. The Bromley Market store has food, as does the store in Peru on main street for breakfast and lunch. It is a short drive to Manchester and Londonerry where restaurants and shopping are available. Don't miss the cash only, Up For Breakfast, in Manchester! Great value for off season rates.

I would highly recommend this place to stay if you’re in the Peru, Vermont area we’re not skiers, but it was a great experience. The staff was awesome from the bar to the restaurant and some places around the area to eat or see and the gentleman Robyn Who runs the place was fantastic. I enjoyed listening to all his stories and talking to us would definitely come back and stay again. Fantastic experience. it even made our vacation better

Horrified and alarmed! The changes have made this once loved home-away-from-home into a terrible memory. The room had a permanently sealed balcony door, with a view of Beer Cans and a broken plastic pitcher. The Air Conditioner made our night a full on Ice Cave experience. Changing the Mode to Hear made it colder so we slept in our clothes and put coats on the bed. It was warmer outside, but we couldn’t open the door to enjoy the “Post Frat Party” ambiance. Seriously considered sleeping in the Lobby because driving another 4 hours to go back home felt irresponsible due to the hypothermia. Wondering if we’d be able to even escape a fire because the end of the hallway didn’t have a fire escape. I reconstructed the scenario in my mind and imagined welcoming the heat of the flames. There was a fridge, no microwave, in fact warmth was nowhere. Literally absent from check in to check out. Bromley Lodge has gone !

We stayed for 9 days, spending the first part of the time hiking in some of the state parks as well as the Appalachian trail. Trail. We then went to a music festival which was about 6 mi from the hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had several meals in the dining room, all of which were excellent. We intend to stay there again the next time we're in that area.

This place is so cute. I love the view from the hotel and it’s very cozy and the rooms are very cozy also. Here’s the problem we walk into to the hotel tried, it was alright until we walked in our room the whole room was a mess not cleaned at all. They booked us a dirty room so we had to go stay elsewhere. The service was very nice and the location is beautiful it’s just why would you book us a dirty room?? Ethier way the hotel itself is very cozy and wonderful.

This place gets all the stars for service and atmosphere:) We stopped in and ordered the best ever chicken fingers and chili nachos. From the front desk to the bar and restaurant, the staff were kind and helpful. I absolutely recommend this lodge, restaurant, and bar to anyone looking for a place that has something for everyone:)

This hotel is literally at the base of the mountain, with a super easy Euro-style ski-in/ski-out boot room that actually makes getting to the lift line fun. (No car required!) Perfect to ski, eat, and drink through a weekend, or to hike straight from the hotel to the amazing views of Vermont. They also have great food and damn good cocktails—I highly recommend the Cloud-9!||I loved the lobby. It’s stylish but cozy, with a roaring fireplace, little conversation nooks, a beautiful long table set up for remote work, and a weirdly addictive game I dare anyone not to try. The decor was so spot-on, I wanted to bring every piece home with me—and, the whole place smells amazing.||Extra points for the downstairs game room, which is the real deal: pool, air hockey, foosball, ping pong, and corn hole. It was the perfect escape.

It was a last minute trip this Feb for us and we were lucky to find a room here. Really happy we did! The hotel is clean and has a very nice interior. The beds were comfortable and the hosts super welcoming. We hope to stay again, thanks!

Yelp
There's a remarkable "je ne sais quoi" charm here; an unfrilled welcome into the cozy home you love to be in. It's festive and fresh but really truly comfortable from the moment you walk in. The staff is genuinely warm and professional, and Robin at the front desk is a gem of a person. I have stayed twice since they reopened and both times wanted to linger in the lobby on the couches by the fire and take it in-you will too. The restaurant is EXCELLENT. I've tried the hummus and veggies, the chicken tenders, deviled eggs, steak frites, and chicken sandwich. I have high marks for all but consistently across the board, everything has made me say "the Chef treated this dish right". Wine menu is solid and there are awesome cocktails. Our server Eric is a professional through and through. The rooms are exactly as comfortable as you would hope they would be. Beds are great, shower water pressure is solid, there's a mini fridge, and the hotel shampoo and conditioner are actually really good! I have NEVER said that in my life. Some rooms are ski in/ski out, some face the mountain (cool to see the other skiers) some face the road (you won't notice much because the view over the valley is stunning) I say all of this as both a local who is glad this is a part of our community, a seasoned hospitality professional, and a mom of a toddler who agrees on all points except the cocktails. Did I mention they have maple milkshakes? These guys are doing it right.

Yelp
Location, service and breakfast - 5 stars Room and amenities - 3 stars This place is perfect for anyone planning to ski at Bromley. Large parking lot (gets busy on the weekend, but you should find a space by the end of the ski day) and the place is super clean. It's a bit outdated, but still what you expect in a ski lodge. Main floor has a large fireplace, TV and couches in a spacious sitting area on the main floor, games, plus a standard sized pool table too. Breakfast area and a small bar (takeout window only) also on this floor. Lower level has the arcade room for the kids and it is a huge space. Plus side is it keeps the young ones busy and out of your way if you stay without young children. Downside is the space has many out of order games and others that simply take your money without warning. We lost a dollar on skee ball on Monday. No biggie. Just not marked how much it cost and it wasn't working after four quarters. Also a nice large room for your ski gear on this level. Not a space that makes you feel super comfortable leaving your gear, but I am told they lock it overnight. Small laundry space too. $5 for 2 hours. You can simply add the charge to your room at the front deck. Our room was a standard double and it wasn't bad at all. No balcony or view of the mountain, but we had a large window to open and you'll need it. It was very warm in the lodge itself and our room too with no option to control the temp, so be prepared. Beds were fairly comfortable and sheets were fresh and clean. Shower pressure was the best I have ever experienced and the water was scalding hot. Breakfast was a huge plus on Sunday, but don't expect anything close to that for midweek of if there aren't many guests. I get why they cut things down tremendously, but we went from eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and killer pancakes on Sunday to a small plate of muffins (bran/multiwhatever and blueberry) and they weren't very good. They still had dry cereal, oatmeal, bagels and cream cheese and toast, but a big letdown after being overwhelmed with options on Sunday. No heads up on the major change. We ended up going out for breakfast on our way out of town. Everyone working there were super nice. Rob greeted us when we arrived and went over everything in great detail (ok, maybe not what to expect for breakfast on Monday :) ). The folks in the dining area were very nice too. That is always a plus. Not sure we will ski Bromley again in the near future, but booking this lodge would be a no brainer if we decided to do so.

Yelp
We just stayed for a second time (2 years in a row). For those that ski, this is a good place to stay for the family. Very helpful staff (all). Definitely agree with Nellie about Rob. The ski in/out option is priceless as well as the continental breakfast. We (2 kids - 11 & 15) love the ping pong, pool, or WII gaming options when available. Only minor critique is I wish the ski storage area was better ventilated as the smell is sometimes nauseating. And I wish the music in the lobby was something more current. When enjoying my 'adult' beverage, I feel very old hanging out by the fire place listening to music from 40, 50 years ago. I know rough life, right?

Yelp
Our stay at Bromley was without a hitch. The staff members were great & very helpful! Just a short drive to some of the larger mountains. Plus!!! The hot breakfast included was pretty tasty for a hotel breakfast. Hot scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, house made (delicious) home fries, and mini pancakes with Vermont maple syrup made for a great start to our day! The walls were made of cement, so wifi was a little touchy sometimes, but you could tell the hotel was trying their best to accommodate by using multiple routers. The walls were great for keeping the majority of sound from other rooms out. The balcony was a huge added plus that I didn't realize we would have!!! Rated a 4/5 for some minor details, nothing that truly prevented us from enjoying ourselves - a few more pillows on the bed would have greatly helped...even though we turned the heat off as soon as we got there, it still felt very warm in our room! We ended up keeping the balcony door cracked for most of the weekend. I wish the hotel bar had been open, although I understand that the "season" was over. And I wish that there was an ice machine accesible at any time. If you wanted ice, you had to go down to the front desk. They would grab you a small bag from the kitchen. Would have been easier for all parties if there was a machine we could serve ourselves from, especially after hours (1AM) when the front desk/lobby/lounge area shuts down & gets locked up. We brought a cooler with us (even though there was a mini fridge) that we wanted to keep stocked with ice! All that said - would definitely stay at this hotel again. I feel compelled to mention the staff again. They were truly very kind & helpful!

Yelp
The staff is realy kind and welcoming especially Robin. It's nice and cozy place and its nice because bromley mountain is next to the lodge and I love to ski. They also try and make u feel welcome and like ur at home for example they gave us popcorn and ear warmers that looked like habachi hats which was really nice of them. If ur coming to bromley u should definitely go here!

Yelp
Carlos Tapas bar was a refreshing change. Great food and good wine. It was an unexpected surprise for a hotel bar. Check it out!

Yelp
We had a nice stay there. Rob was very attentive and accommodating. The service crew was always there to give assistance when we needed something. Very close to the ski resort so it's very convenient. The lodge itself could use some updating but it's adequate. Breakfast was good and plenty. Very charming lobby to hang out with the family.

Yelp
Second time staying here. Each year The Lodge at Bromley has been very clean with helpful staff and you can't beat the location to Bromley Mountain. A great ski in ski out hotel in a short drive to local restaurants. Breakfast is good too!

Yelp
My wife and I stayed at this hotel during a hiking trip through the Northeast in August. We had originally reserved two nights, but our plans unexpectedly changed at the last moment. I went to the front desk to ask for a refund on the second night's reservation (as I had paid in advance) and expected to get it as it was 24 hours in advance. The person at the desk told me that since the reservation was through Expedia, I'd have to make the request through them. I did that immediately and the folks at Hotels.com called the manager of the property. They were told that, as it was a Sunday, that they'd have to call again during business hours. We thought that everything was taken care of and were ready to leave the hotel at 4:00 AM the next day. Well, as it turned out, the lobby wasn't staffed after 11:00 PM and was locked when we were ready to check out. There was a phone number to call and we spoke to a man and explained that we were checking out and instructed to leave the keys in the room. Again, everything seemed OK. Well, a few days later, I noticed the charge for the room on my credit card. I contacted Hotels.com and they informed me that they had tried to get the refund, but the general manager had told them that we didn't check out properly (huh??) and therefore couldn't give us our money back. I honestly don't know what else we could have done to inform them of our change and to notify everyone with even a passing interest in it. This seems to me to be an opportunistic money grab and represents pretty poor customer service. In my experience, poor customer service is like a cockroach infestation. If you see one, there are probably lots more hiding just out of sight.
