Sun-n-Sand Hotel

23/11/2024|Sun-n-Sand Hotel Juhu Beach, Mumbai. Given its location right on Juhu Beach this is extremely good value for money. I had stayed here two years ago and enjoyed my stay immensely. So, returning to Mumbai I didn’t hesitate to book the Sun-n-Sand again. Little, if anything had changed, The reception area is large, cool and spotless. The reception staff are extremely efficient, welcoming and helpful. |The rooms are spacious well equipped and clean as was the bathroom.|The breakfast is buffet style and has a remarkable range of foods. Some on request. Eggs any way you want. So from cereals to fresh fruit to Dhosa and daal.|In the evening there is again a wide variety of locations and foods available.|The hotel presents a very lively atmosphere due to the many weddings and events that take place. Some guests might find this intrusive or overwhelming but it all adds to the experience. It is unsurprising that there are so many events as the view itself is well worth photographing - terrace, beach, ocean and a few palm trees thrown into the mix. |There is a delightful pool which is under used most of the time and sun loungers are plentiful for those willing to brave the sun. |All the staff I met were very good and helpful|I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Sun-n-Sand if I have the opportunity to visit Mumbai in the future.

Outdated and dirty hotel - needs to be refurbished. Carpets have not been cleaned in years and staff need training! ||Breakfast is a small selection - but service is awful and manager couldnt care less. Food does look appetising (if you’re from abroad trust me you wont eat the food). No one will ask for hot drinks - and masala chai is the worst in mumbai. The staff just look at you clueless if you ask for anything. ||Room is a smaller size than other mumbai hotels - but very outdated. Curtains are dirty - dont feel like touching anything. AC was so messed up. House keeping are friendly and try their best but not good enough for 5 stars.||Have stayed at Novotel next door and for a similar rate highly recommend. Unfortunately this is the worst hotel I have stayed at in mumbai. Definitely not 5 stars and will never step foot again.

Our three nights stay at this hotel was good. Excellent location on Juhu beach Mumbai. Bathroom & rooms were clean. Though our front garden room decor is a bit outdated and needs upgrading. Excellent service by reception & all other staffs are welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was varied and excellent though can get overcrowded later on. Nice sitting area facing the beach. My opinion it would have been nice if they had live evening music played by the swimming pool area.

Very good location on Juhu beach. The hotel although is classified as 5 stars but is quite dated and room I was staying in looked old with worn out carpet. The fridge was locked, couldn't use it. I think this hotel in its current status needs to be down graded to 4 stars. I have seen rooms better in 3 star hotels than this hotel. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. I would definitely give 5 stars for breakfast. They even packed our breakfast for our early morning flight. Service was excellent as well. With staff always willing to help and smiling. This is what I call service with a smile. The hotel building and rooms need modernisation for sure.

Oh wow, where do I even begin? Sunset Lounge at the Sun-n-Sand Hotel in Juhu is truly a one-of-a-kind experience—if your goal is to punish your taste buds and question your life choices. Ambiance: The view? Stunning. If you enjoy a hazy, smog-infused sunset while inhaling a fine blend of ocean breeze and vehicle exhaust, this place is paradise. It’s the kind of view that makes you ponder deep questions, like "Why did I come here?" and "Will I survive this meal?" Hygiene & Cutlery: Ah, the cutlery. A delightful game of ‘Find a Fork That’s Actually Clean’ awaited us. Spoiler alert: after digging through a bucket of questionable forks, we found three that weren’t decorated with someone else’s leftovers. The rest? Well, back they went to take another lap in what I assume is the world’s most ineffective dishwasher. The Food (or what they claim is food): Pizza Imagine a sad, abandoned piece of cardboard. Now, smother it in a truckload of cheap, flavorless cheddar, add just a whisper of tomato sauce, and there you have it—their signature pizza. The base? So thin, I thought I’d accidentally ordered a papad instead. Jalapeño Poppers Crunchy on the outside, but wait—oh yes, here comes the surprise: raw batter stuck in your teeth! Because nothing says ‘gourmet’ like the taste of uncooked flour lingering in your mouth for hours. Nachos Now, how does one ruin nachos? Well, Sunset Lounge has cracked the code. They took a classic Mexican dish and thought, "You know what this needs? An aggressive amount of Indian masala!" And the guacamole? It looked like someone had a personal moment with it before serving. Bright green, slimy, and absolutely terrifying. Final Verdict: If you ever feel like your taste buds are too alive and need to be euthanized, please, by all means, give this place a try. You’ll walk in hungry and walk out with an existential crisis.

Beach front , amazing breakfast , very good staff but in comparison to the quality and amenities their rates are very high. They charge extra for even swimming pool. Hate that part where you have to pay extra for every single amenity inside the property. Won’t stay again for sure here.

Great hotel with fantastic food with great choices and excellent staff. Buffet breakfast set you up for the day. Room small but had all you needed. Unfortunately for us there were functions every night so unable to sit outside but during the day pool area was great for swiming and relaxing. Shop selling some lovely carved items bits and bobs, all to many to mention well worth a look. On the whole an enjoyable stay.

I booked three rooms at this hotel from December 25th to 27th, 2024. Although the check-in time was 2 PM, we didn’t receive our rooms until after 3 PM, despite having made the reservation nearly a month in advance. One of the rooms had a persistent, foul smell of stale urine. After speaking with several people at the reception, we were told they couldn’t address the issue immediately and that they could only offer another room the next day. We waited until 1 PM the following day with no updates from the hotel. Eventually, after spending more time at the reception and making repeated requests, we were given another room, but it smelled even worse. When we reported the issue again, the reception staff hung up on us without any response. We were also informed that the General Manager would be available at 3 PM to address our concerns, but when that time came, we were told the GM was too busy and wouldn’t take calls. We were only able to meet the GM the next day, during check-out, after making multiple requests. In addition to these issues, the refrigerators in the other rooms didn’t work, and there were various other problems. The food at the hotel restaurant was also inedible, and the reception staff showed little to no responsiveness. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
