Sun-n-Sand Hotel

This iconic first five star beachfront hotel still stands tall. I have been visiting since 1962 when it first opened. This time we visited after a long time and booked Presidential Suite to celebrate some special occasion. The suite on top floor was luxurious overlooking beach, pool and Arabian Sea. Another highlight of suite was a very big private terrace where one could throw a party for 40/50 people easily. It also had barbeque facility. The beach and sunset views were awesome.|The hotel had three restaurants serving Indian, Chinese and Thai cuisines. The main bar was under renovation. However they were serving liquor in all restaurants. The gym facing beach was great. The pool, garden and open ground added to its charm. |The service was impeccable in all departments. The overall ambiance was superb. |A great hotel for a relaxed vacation or for business stay...

Lovely hotel. Large rooms (though bathrooms could be slightly bigger) amazing staff and the food is incredible. Hotel could do with a bit of a freshen up, and I understand is now being renovated. I enjoyed my stay so much that I'd love to go back and visit again to see how the renovations have improved the hotel.

Stayed here on my trip to Mumbai, was on a pilgrimage trip. Stay and food was good but happened to book a car for 5days trip through hotel travel desk, a 3rd party company sitting at the hotel. Hoped that being a repute hotel it would be safe and risk free... Travel desk quoted rate per km that included fuel and driver allowance. After 2400kms trip, they took driver allowance for 5days over and above fuel cost, tolls and permit cost was taken adhoc, was told they will take out actual cost from some website and any excess amt will be refunded. week of follow up and they till havent sent me actual cost bifurcation invoice. Driver just demanded money on trip even when all meals was paid over and above allowance. This was such a horrible experience at hotel travel desk... never booking any car with the hotel desk again. will look at other hotel options for my next trip !!!

I had a wonderful experience at sun-n-sand hotel. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed. The location is perfect — close to major attractions yet peaceful at night. Special thanks to the front desk team for their excellent service. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to others!

The beach access from the hotel made it so convenient to step out and unwind any time we wanted. The hospitality was warm, the surroundings peaceful, and the atmosphere perfect for relaxation and bonding. Whether it was sipping tea by the poolside or just soaking in the calmness of the sea, every moment felt like a much-needed escape from the everyday routine. Sun-n-Sand is truly a gem for families looking to enjoy the best of Juhu Beach with comfort, care, and unforgettable views.

Love this place. Very Nostalgic. One of the earliest 5 star hotels. Been coming here since I was a new born great location at the beach front. Service has always been impeccable. Pools are clean and healthy club equipments are great Rooms are very tidy and always fresh. Great for a stay and vacay. Staff is always courteous . Food is delicious and service is great. I recommend a stay anytime..

The location is amazing, Nice Charming Hotel , Spacious and clean room. But Housekeeping Maintenance is very poor. In spite of complaining about the leakage in over head-shower they couldn’t fix it. |Rest Food was excellent, the chef at the Restaurant also prepared a Ragi Dosa for me when requested.

I feel myself as a quality inspection person and reporting problems one after another since I checked in yesterday.|Jet shower (health faucet) defect, less towels than guest, drain of wash basin clogged, broken in room safe and so on.|I checked out very low ratings of this hotel but some people suggested that after renovation it is improved.|I don't think my room 308 is renovated for a smooth stay experience. |Food is worst as well at beach side. We ordered 4-5 food items and nothing was of good taste apart from too slow service and you need to look for someone, wave hands, shout excuse me several times.|Won't suggest anyone to go there. |
