Yelp
My wife and I booked this place for a week for a house-hunting trip. We liked the idea of a place we could cook, with internet & TV, and have access to a pool/hot tub. The price was similar to that of a hotel, so it was attractive.
When we first got there, it was nice. Basically the cabins are half-trailers, and they have all the amenities-- dishwasher, fridge, stove, basic cookware in the cabin, A/C in wall, TV with satellite (no DVR). We were away from our girls, who were staying with the grandparents, and we wanted to skype with them before they went to bed. We got to do it for one night, then the wireless in the resort died. For EVERYONE. The staff was nice, but they kept blaming Tengo Internet for the disruption, but the issue didn't get fixed. Needless to say that was a huge inconvenience as we could not video chat with our girls, or find houses online, or do any meaningful research from our cabin.
In addition, there is no housekeeping. They don't even check your towels. You have to go to the main office and get things like fresh towels, soap, shampoo, TOILET PAPER, etc.
Oh, and if you have kids, and you want them to do the fun things, like use the game room, it costs EXTRA. Really? I'm already paying a premium for this place, and I have to pay a daily fee to let the kids play in the game room?
The final insult was when we had to check out a day early. I said I'd like a refund for the lack of internet, and for the day we weren't using. They said no refunds under any circumstances, even if they were not providing promised amenities!
If you don't need internet, you have no kids, you want a quiet place and don't mind getting your own towels/toiletries from the resort, then this place is fine. But ultimately, if I had to do it over again, I would have booked a travelers hotel. At least they would have refunded money for failing to provide advertised services.
