Sun Rocks

"Maybe you think this is just another Santorini hotel, with the same white-washed Cycladic architecture, vaulted ceilings, and views of the azure waters as its worthy neighbors—but you’re wrong. To start, the hotel is carved into the side of a volcanic cliff, and has spellbinding views of the caldera below, but that’s hardly all: It’s also a foodie paradise, where gourmet meals are tantamount to setting in importance. At Elea, the in-house restaurant, dishes range from the starkly traditional, like the creamy, risotto-like trahanoto, to the Aegan-inspired, with a twist, like the rockfish tartar. It’s hard to go wrong—just don’t miss the Pavlova, served with Rose ice cream."

This hotel was easily one of the best experiences we have had at any hotel. The staff makes you feel like you are family and they go out of their way to accommodate you in any way possible. Thank you Nicos, Irinie, Christina, Briano and Tim for making our stay so memorable. And thank you to the chef for such innovative and delicious dishes at every one of our meals. This hotel is small and that is exactly what makes it so wonderful. Location is also great and the views are breathtaking. I can't say enough about this beautiful place and the wonderful people working there. Can't wait to go back. Thanks again.

Great hotel in a stunning location. Beautiful rooms, all with amazing rooms. The room we stayed in had the most incredible view from the window and balcony. Didn’t need to find any other spot to watch the sunset, could do it right from our room. ||The food is outstanding if a little pricey but the real star is the staff whose are amazing and could not do enough for you. Out special thanks to the pool bar teams, Kristie, Breanna, Irini and Nikos. You made our stay very special with your kind and attentive hospitality!

We stayed here for our honeymoon as we read a lot of good reviews & when we were greeted, a man carried our suitcases down a lot of steps. He was great & the amount of steps is crazy, but it’s the norm for Santorini. The staff from reception & the restaurant were all absolutely lovely. Especially the man & women in the morning for breakfast & lunch. They were so friendly. We had breakfast included which was nice, but there wasn’t a huge selection & the price of alcohol was a bit dear compared to other places near by. Unfortunately when we arrived to our room, the water was cold & the aircon was leaking. It was all fixed, but then a while later we had no water at all. We also had a hot tub that wasn’t warm & was told the key has to be in for it to warm up which takes a few hours, but it never got warm. They moved us to another room which was lovely, but again the tub wasn’t warm. They turned up the temperature, but said it could only go up so much, but again it wasn’t close to being warm for it to be a hot tub & there were a lot of pieces floating in the water. Our balcony for that room had staff on it a lot at a machine right outside our door & the room next to us had to cross our balcony to get to theirs so you had no privacy. Overall..the location, views & staff were amazing, but having a room with a hot tub was pointless which was very disappointing as it was our honeymoon & the rooms were gorgeous rooms. The hotel is a lovely hotel, but maybe needs management or someone to sort certain things to help it improve.

Phenomenal hotel. Stunning views. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They really work to go above and beyond - the kind of people who will remember what you like to drink or where you like to sit when you come back the next day. Spacious rooms that are new, clean, and the air conditioning works very well. I even needed to stay another day in Santorini because my ferry was cancelled. This stressed me out but the hotel staff put me at ease and helped me through the situation. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, you will not be disappointed.

This was our first trip to Santorini and we had an amazing time. The views are spectacular and the hotel staff treated us like family. Lots to do within walking distance. But the food at the hotel restaurant was delicious! Be prepared to walk stairs anywhere you go on the island, but worth every step! We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Sun Rocks in Fira. The views were incredible and the location in the heart of Firostefani was convenient to shops and restaurants. Despite the many steps up and down to our room (not for those with mobility issues unfortunately!), we loved our stay here. The staff was fabulous from the reception to the restaurant and all so very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Kostantina for all your help and suggestions.

Arrived having transferred from a quick stop over from Crete on the fast ferry.|We’re welcomed by the entire team who thankfully carried our bags to our relevant hotel rooms. The hotel has a stunning outlook with basically everything catered for. Likewise the food was delicious & the dining area located on the cliff side allowed uninterrupted views of the port & the sunset in the evening.|All in all a brilliant hotel & we can totally recommend it BUT’ a word of warning! There are 147 pretty much straight up steps from the lower rooms to the entrance of the hotel!! Quite hard work after breakfast as no lift! |Many thanks to Tim & his team of wonderful hosts for our short break .
