Sun Rocks Santorini

From check in to check out we could not have been happier with the service and attention we received. ||All of our meals were great, the staff knew our names and became our friends instantly. They were helpful during our stay and went above and beyond to provide information around Santorini. ||The views speak for themselves but without the service and support of the great staff members it would not have been as enjoyable.

I cannot recommend Sun Rocks enough! If you’re looking for breathtaking views this is it. Our cliffside room gave us stunning caldera views and views of the volcano. It was breezy and peaceful. The property was quiet, clean, and just luxurious. The staff was helpful, thoughtful, and kind. Our room was a more secluded cave suite with jacuzzi and it was probably the coolest room we’ve ever stayed in. The property is a little outside of Fira in Firostefani and I’m so glad we chose this location. Still very walkable to Fira but much quieter. I’d definitely recommend this hotel!

Although I did not stay here, I can say that it would be my last pick on the island. This hotel was connected to our wedding ceremony area and not only was it filthy over by that hotel, but my groom thought it would be ok to get our first look on the rooftop directly next to our ceremony area, not knowing it wasn’t ok. This would have taken 5 minutes yet as I was walking up an employee from this hotel shouted at him to leave since that was apparently their property. Even as he was leaving he kept yelling until the groom was in tears. Our first look was ruined and it put a downer on the whole thing. He could have been kind, but please don’t support a place with such heartless employees. This rooftop was next to their laundry room where all of the employees sat on their phones with heaps of trash and laundry around, so it was not like this was an area in use. Very sad to treat people this way..please be kinder.

My daughter and I have recently stayed at Sun Rocks. This is a small but amazing hotel near to Fira which is walking distance away. The staff at Sun Rocks are brilliant and cannot do enough for you. The hotel is on the cliff side facing the sea and has spectacular views. It has lots of stairs so not for thise with mobility issues but this just added to our Santorini experience. I would definately recommend this hotel, we loved it!

This hotel is simply unbelievable. We went here to start our holiday for a few days and loved every second of it. ||The views alone from the restaurant and pool area over the coast are spectacular both during the day and especially at sunset. The hotel is modern, clean and the staff are very friendly. Our flight was delayed and we arrived late into the night however the staff knew we were starving and kept the restaurant open for us past closing so that we could have some food, truly excellent service without us even asking if this was ok. The food is also superb, really enjoyed everything we ate here, would recommend to anyone!||The hotel is situated in a perfect location for both the airport and Fira. Although central the hotel is very peaceful and great for relaxing at away from the busy town centre. ||Simply a brilliant hotel, I would recommend anyone visiting the island to stay here.

Located within 15 minutes walk of Fira Centre, this hotel is in a stunning location cascading down the cliff side overlooking the sea and the Caldera. We had a large bedroom with an incredible panoramic sea view to greet us every morning. Facilities were all good, except storage space a bit limited. There is a lovely pool area with bar and restaurant. Again, this has jaw dropping sea views. The breakfasts and lunches were excellent with fresh Greek cuisine, although pretty generous portions. However, what makes this place are its incredible staff who are all just so lovely and friendly. They can’t do enough for you, but highly professional always with a laugh and a smile. One felt very special staying here. One note of caution though is that access throughout is via flights of quite steep steps, with no elevator, so one needs to be relatively able. There was no better place to be based for our 4 nights in Santorini. To be highly recommended.

For the Aquaz restaurant- I don’t even know where to start with this review besides saying it was simply the best restaurant I have ever dined at with the best experience. I have traveled the world and stayed at some of the most impressive hotels with some of the best restaurants out there and this one takes the top spot for every aspect. We had hoped to sit outside when dining at this restaurant, as they have the most stunning tables beside a glass barrier with amazing views. However it was raining and majorly windy the day we dined but was not disappointed with the beautiful front table we were given inside. incredible views of the sunset and surrounding buildings. The service we received at this restaurant was five stars, beyond incredible, really made the experience spectacular. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco to share between me and my boyfriend, it was reasonably priced and one of the nicest Proseccos we have ever tasted. My boyfriend has a nut allergy, we have struggled with being able to check if foods are safe everywhere on this island however when ordering here, this was the first restaurant we were asked if there was any allergies to take note of . This made him so much more comfortable eating there as he felt they truly cared about giving him the correct food! We ordered a selection of bread to start with and they kindly adapted it to be safe for his allergy. It was the perfect starter for us! We then both ordered T bone steaks (medium) and it was cooked to perfection, the taste of the steak was phenomenal. We both ordered a side of fried potato wedges which were seasoned lovely and tried both the sauce options on the menu which paired brilliantly with the steaks. For dessert we both ordered the apple pie which they again kindly adapted to fit the nut allergy and it was the best desert we had the whole holiday! We were there celebrating my 21st birthday and when dessert came out they put a lit candle and sang happy birthday which made the night so special. The meal was honestly one of the best meals we have ever had and would recommend it to anyone. Please try this restaurant out you will not be disappointed! The service was impeccable from both Evoingelio and Asteris, they truly went above and beyond to make the experience the best, we would like to thank you for the great service and meal guys! On our return to Santorini we will definitely be back to visit again! You made my birthday the most special and memorable one!

What can we say. This hotel & location is amazing. All staff fantastic, best hospitality we have had since covid. Food in the restaurant spot on. Will defo return. Also they made my special birthday perfect. Really sorry I cannot remember names. It is one of my down falls. We stayed in room 102. House keeping perfect. Facilities in the room really good. Also any thing you needed staff was so willing to help. One last thing what an amazing view from our room.
