Sun Siyam Vilu Reef

Splendid resort island, lots to see and do. Great weather with minor spells of rain. Always stayed around 30 degrees Celsius, rarely overcast. Plenty of trips to choose from such as snorkeling, diving, dolphin cruise, whale shark excursion, etc. We went on two excursions, both had a lot to see, most of which we haven't seen elsewhere in the world (the marine life). Room was very clean with great staff member Habib coming daily to tend to the room. He always checked with us to be sure we had everything we needed and always did more than we expected. He was very friendly and happy to chat. The room was a deluxe beach villa and it certainly felt deluxe with 3 different seats/beds to choose from and a seating area next to the bed, all of which very comfortable and clean. Aircon in the room was just what we needed, I found myself regularly going into the room just to cool off for 10 minutes then return outside. The bathroom had two showers one under cover and one with only the blue sky above it. Across much of the resort, it was very peaceful and easy to find private areas to enjoy the views. Restaurants were great with lots of choice. 2 of the restaurants were booking only but well worth attending. The other was a buffet style restaurant, somewhat more relaxed. All in all great holiday and would recommend to anyone wanting a memorable tropical trip.

We have just returned from our honeymoon at this amazing resort. We stayed in a beach villa with a pool with fantastic views of the lagoon. The snorkelling around this island was beautiful so many gorgeous fish and coral reefs 🤩 the accommodation was impeccable, so clean, our room was cleaned twice a day it was lovely. The staff were all so friendly, especially Saraa and Vijay in the Aqua Restaurant they couldn’t do enough for you and always had a welcoming smile! Our personal assistant on the island called Sham was fantastic, so efficient and friendly nothing was too much trouble! We will definitely be going back to this amazing place it was just like paradise 😍

We had an unforgettable stay at this truly magnificent resort! 🌴✨ We stayed in the Deluxe Villa, which was amazing, and from the very beginning the welcome was incredible.||A special mention to Niyaaf, who gave us 24/7 support throughout our stay — he answered all of my questions and organized our romantic dinner to absolute perfection. ❤️||The team at The Aqua restaurant is also fantastic! Thank you especially to Shayan, Faruk, and Saraa, and of course to all the other staff whose names I didn’t catch — every single one of them was extremely kind and helpful.||Also, a very big thank you to Baboul, who cleaned our villa perfectly every day and always made sure we had everything we needed — from towels to water in the fridge to our bathrobes! 🥰||This resort is a true paradise, and the staff made our experience unforgettable. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was our third stay at this most amazing island and we weren’t disappointed as the level of hospitality is still as good as ever. ||There was some trepidation before going as they are carrying out improvements on one end of the island but we shouldn’t have worried because the works caused no impact to us at all. We’re actually looking forward to going back next year to see it complete. ||We were greeted by Thathi who was our host for the week and he made sure we were well looked after and kept us up to date with things going on around the island. ||The quality of the food was excellent as always, The Spice and Well Done are a favourite for us but we never went a day without visiting the buffet to choose from a wide selection of cuisines. ( Captain) Vijay and his team always made sure we had everything we needed and made sure our glasses were always topped up. I will definitely miss Chef Chaminda and his excellent curries - I always looked forward to seeing what surprise he would cook up for us. ||The Main bar has moved since we visited last year but we loved the decking over the sea and watching the huge sharks swim by at 22:30 each night. We were well looked after by Ranjeeth and Digajan (apologies guys if I’ve spelt your names wrong) never missing if we needed a top up. They always had this six sense we needed another Pina Colada or white wine…☺️||These are just a few names that made our holiday special again, but every member of staff go out of their way to make your holiday a memorable one. ||We are sad to leave our extended family but counting down the days to when we return.

I've stayed with my family for a week. Me and my dad stayed in the room 133 a wide room on the beach, with all comforts in it. Our bathroom was an open space with open and closed shower and a bath tube as well. Our room was cleaned twice per day and we also found nice drawings made from leaves on our bed! We spend our days snorkeling since the island is surrounded of the Coral reef. At the Sun Siyam we've felt cozy and relaxed the whole time, but the thing we appreciate the most was the kindness and hospitality of the staff, which we'll never forget! From our cleaners to the waiters and chefs of the Aqua restaurant, who have even prepared special dishes for us to make us try food from their country! We definitely recommend staying here and we hope we'll be able to come back very soon!!!

We had an amazing-amazing time! The resort is really beautiful, peaceful, very well organized and in an ideal location!!!|Sham, our host, was very helpful and kind, always there for us, for everything we needed!|Fardous, was taking care our villa and not only cleaned it very well, but he was also decorated it! We really loved it.|All the people at Aqua Restaurant were always so smiling, so kind and willing to help us! We really thank Asmita, Saraa, Vijay and Shayan!! |Of course, special thanks to Chefs Chami and Farouk! They cooked for us delicious foods! We tried local and international dishes! Chef Chami, thanks for the Jackfish! We really enjoyed the new flavors! We hope to see you again!

The deluxe beach villas are very comfortable and spacious. Our villa attended Habib was extremely helpful and lovely to deal with, he kept the room spotless and everything well stocked; nothing was too much trouble and we didn't want for anything. The private outside area was perfect for relaxing with a variety of seating options, and a matter of a few footsteps from the water's edge where the house reef provided a vast array of fish and coral Ideal for leisurely snorkeling, we even had the local dolphins swimming past and made friends with the inquisitive little water hens.

Beautiful place, well organised and excellent food. We enjoyed our stay in the water villa with pool (and net!). A big thanks to Asmita, Chaminda, Niyaaf and Shayan! The staff really makes all the difference.|Points for improvement: Bar music is rather loud and can be heard in the water villa. The music stops at midnight though. Construction works in progress are affecting visibility of the house reef when snorkeling.
