"With so many beaches to explore in the Fort Myers area, a waterpark might be the last place you think to visit. However, when traveling with kids, it’s just the place to while away a hot Florida day. This park in Cape Coral covers 14 acres with everything from splash attractions geared toward toddlers, to Pirate’s Cove for younger kids and high-speed flumes for daredevils. Note: the park closes from October to February, when cooler temperatures make it less appealing."

I recently visited Sunsplash Family Waterpark, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. We arrived on a Saturday morning, a bit after 11 AM, and even though we had purchased our tickets in advance, we still had to wait in a long ticket line just to get our wristbands. The line stretched out into the parking lot with no shade, and once we finally got our wristbands, we had to wait in yet another equally long line to enter the park. The entire process took about 45 minutes. Only two out of four ticket booths were open, and there was just one person checking bags at the entrance, creating more delays. Once inside, we found no available spots to leave our belongings unless we rented a locker, which meant standing in yet another line. The Lazy River was another disappointment. The water was so cloudy that we couldn’t see through it, and it left my skin feeling itchy afterward. Plus, most of the inner tubes were either flat or unavailable unless you paid extra for a VIP rental. The wave pool that was supposed to be open mid June was still closed as well. We also encountered issues with the food service. The lines were confusing, and we waited 45 minutes for our food, which turned out to be disappointing in quality. My son’s pizza was inedible, and my chicken wrap was lackluster. The drink options were limited to soda, which didn’t suit everyone in our group. On a slightly positive note, the lifeguards were quick to respond when a kid needed help, though as a former lifeguard myself, I felt they could have followed protocol better. Overall, the day was filled with long waits and disappointments, and I wouldn’t recommend visiting unless some serious improvements are made.

This is a great place to have fun as a family. The best ticket is the best deal, which includes a combo meal and unlimited fountain beverages all day. They have a variety of slides and a pool for children of all ages, including babies ( kids 2 years and under are free). There are a lot of tables and chairs provided for eating your lunches. The food is delicious, except for the pizza 😫, their waffle fries were served fresh, hot, and nicely. I would recommend the chicken wrap combo. The staff are very attentive, especially the lifeguards. There are 2 to 4 lifeguards at each pool safety is their number one priority.

This was a nice water park. Only thing was the service was very very slow and there was not enough tubes to go down the lazy river. Other than that, as long as you get here early you can enjoy so fun with your kids. About 130 ish it starts to get very packed.

Park was to open at 11am. We arrived at 10:20am to stand in line until 11:40am. There was one very frail, elderly lady working 1 booth, the other 3 were closed. She was nice enough just not knowledgeable on the computer or the system. All our tickets were paid for the prior day online. We all had our codes, we had entered in our personal information at that time as well. She proceeded to type that into computer system AGAIN and slowly. And we had to repeat things numerous times in order for her to hear. The line was getting progressively longer and longer while people were visibly annoyed and frustrated. Many ppl left the line and entered the park without going through the booth because of the slow service. Upon entering finally, most rides weren't even open. After a couple hours we asked a staff member and were told that possibly after 2pm IF they had more staff then they could open more rides. About 2:30pm more rides were opened. The food concession is another issue. Again, too few staff to accommodate the line. Waited another hour. And I also will include that the park was NOT even busy. There was plenty of empty lounge chairs, there was plenty of empty parking spots (as seen from top of rides). This park definitely has more rides for younger kids than for teenagers or adults. The park is laid out very oddly. Definitely not a user friendly layout for getting to rides, nor is there much for signs directly you to the rides, concessions, or restrooms. There also wasn't many rafts/tubes for the rides needing them, especially for how few ppl were in attendance. We (3 adults) each paid $50 including tax, unlimited fountain drinks, water, and one meal. I found that pricey based on the lack of amentities and options that we were provided. The park is definitely showing it's old age: broken concrete, lack of kept up landscaping/weeds, dingy equipment, including rides, buildings, bathrooms.

Fun, family size Waterpark, free tables to sit at and good food. Great day trip with your kids. Not very many adult rides. But still very fun!

I have been coming here since I was a child, I now have my own child and had the pleasure of bringing her today. I wish customers were somehow notified of closed attractions beforehand. Most attractions did not open till 2pm. For this I give 4/5 stars. Also, wanted to purchase our tickets online to save $ but the website was unresponsive. Overall, we had an amazing day full of so much fun. Seeing my daughter’s smile was enough for me. Thank you Sun splash & life guards for years and years of wonderful memories! Ps. The lifeguard in the children’s pirate play area at around 12:30-1:00ish March 27, 2025 was SO kind and sweet. She deserves recognition for being so awesome.

A must visit if in the area. Will be back! Fun for the whole family. They have life vests for children who can’t swim, lazy river, big and small slides. Very good value for the price. Used my two guest passes that came with my season pass so my wife and son were free. My younger son and daughter were free since they’re two and under.

$32 a person for a water park that is smaller than the ones in the Midwest and less to offer. It smells like sewage by the kids little racer slides. The whole park look run down and not very clean. Bathrooms haven’t had an update in 20 years. Lazy river is always half way repaired so every year you can see where the patch jobs aren’t “working”. The food is alway over cooked and over priced. Kid area is run down and has water toys/activities that haven’t worked in years. Cabana are over $170 and the server walks up and tells you they are underaged so you will have to retrieve your own drinks and when you do order from the app. It takes over 45 minutes to get your food. The prices need to be reevaluated. Nothing has been changed or added in 20 years but the prices have more than doubled in 10 years. Or if you are going to keep the prices, change the quality!
