Why Summer is Amazing at this New York City Luxury Hotel - AFAR

"Perched on the 22nd floor, this terrace offers sweeping skyline views and a quiet, open-air oasis ideal for sipping drinks and surveying the city on warm summer days. An extension of the spa, the space is often used for special-occasion private dinners and events, where guests dine at a rustic table set within an herb garden and enjoy a six-course menu that highlights ingredients grown in the garden beside them." - AFAR

Actually gets 4.6 because no place is perfect. My Aunt has been very happy at Sun Terrace. They kept her alive during Covid. Even when my uncle was away taking care of their personal business. They took care of her at least 5 summers in a row. She had bowel surgery, she fell and fractured her pelvis, she had a few infections on her leg, a bowel problem again, and C Diff infection that ultimately affected her colon. Each time she needed rehab with therapy to recover. She loved the people, the therapy and the socializing. Thank you. You know who you are that loved and helped her. ♥️

If I could give zero I would. My sister chose this because she has done outpatient physical therapy there and was very happy with the people there. In patient was a different story. Although physical and occupational therapy was good, MOST of the rest of the staff are not. There were a few people that were GREAT! But mostly you cannot get your call light answered, and can't get answers or call backs. MANY middle of the night calls because of lack of care! Pick a good place for your loved one....this is NOT it! If you end up there Btittany, a nurse at station in the 500's, I think station 3, is absolutely FABULOUS, and HELPFUL!!

I thought this was the place !! After all I saw & experienced with my husband. I went in for a visit before I had him taken there. I would NOT recommend anyone to go there. But found out that BOOK has a cover. My husband was there 3-4 months. He did not gain one thing . When I took him out for insurance exhausted. He was still not standing . His butt was terrible with bed sores. They work by a book & nothing out of the heart. I believed in them at first sight . Social services failed to order his antibiotics which it was their responsibility he went five days plus without his antibiotics at home because they did not order them and would not return phone calls.Three different facilities tried to call social services and they refused to speak to anyone they left their answering machine on. There are a handful of people that I would recommend but the whole facility no.

The therapists are exceptional here and really care about their patients. Also the nurse and CNA staff were very helpful meeting my needs. Overall, I would trust my loved ones at this Center. I should know after spending about ten weeks here recovering from a broken ankle after a bad fall.

The average wait time for medication is 2.5 hrs after contacting a "CNA" The food is terrible and about half of the staff dissappear when you push your call button. I had a CNA lie about how long I was waiting for pain medication. It took them 7 days to even bring my admission paperwork for me to sign. They get a minimum of $260.00 per bed per day and I have been served food on dirty dishes, broken serving plates. I wish this would allow me to post pictures of the meals served, you would be horrified at the low quality and size of portions.

From the Administration staff to the Room Cleaning staff we can not say enough good things to complement the care and kindness we received. The Nursing care and Rehabilitation care was excellent. My wife is on the road to a complete recovery with the care we received from Sun Terrace Rehabilitation. Clean and well Managed.

Terrible. Ring the bell for bathroom wait 1.5 hours until the CNA shows up. Meds do not come on time or as directed by doctor. If you make the bathroom you're left in there for an hour. Friendly staff but understaffed. Food is horrible! Left alone most of the time. Something has to be done!!!

1 star is actually too much. The physical therapy dept was fine, however, this facility is horrible. They don’t listen to concerns from family and thus missed UTI infection, fluid in her lungs and 2 fractures in her back. Had to be hospitalized for 3 weeks, infection caused sepsis which caused brain damage. All which may have been prevented if they had listened to concerns and requests from family or paid attention to patient. The staff, including Nursing Director, did not return phone calls to family. They Never missed an opportunity to tell me how busy they were. DONT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES THERE.

Yelp
The EMTs that dropped my mom off were great. But she was not walking or seen in her room until she requested multiple times on the nurse call button the night. Nurse was extremely rude. My mom is 88 years old. That's no way to treat any patient, but especially elderly patient, not sure why these people got into nursing if they don't even care about people. The CEO of this hospital should be honestly I've been in the medical field for 30 years. I would've thought care for elderly would be better than the average Public boy was i wrong.

Yelp
this place is horrible takes like 30 minutes to an hour to get in contact with anybody, nurses don't know how to look up patient. I called asking about someone they said they were not there I called patient and she said she was still there; nurses have no clue what they are doing
