Sunayama Beach is a stunning spot known for its soft white sands and crystal-clear waters. Its infinite shallow water area makes it perfect for wading and relaxing. The iconic natural rock arch adds a unique charm, making it great for photos and peaceful strolls. It’s an ideal place to soak up the sun and enjoy serene ocean views away from the crowds.

This is an amazing beach – truly a hidden gem! The sea is beautifully blue with stunning gradients, and the natural surroundings are breathtaking, with rocks and cliffs lining the shore. The sand is soft and clean! Not many people come here often, which is why the beach remains so pristine. One of the best beaches in Miyakojima! Highly recommended! 🏝️✨🌊⛰️💙

This was our favorite beach on Miyakojima – actually, our favorite across all four Okinawan islands we visited! This is the place where you really understand what "Miyako Blue" means – the water is stunningly clear and vibrantly blue, almost unreal. It seems to be quite a well-known beach in Asia, as we noticed tourist buses stopping by regularly. The groups typically just take photos and leave within minutes, so it never felt crowded or disruptive. Facilities are minimal: there’s a paid shower and restroom next to the parking lot, but nothing directly on the beach – no shops, bars, or food stalls, which actually adds to the untouched, peaceful vibe. We did a bit of snorkeling – you can see some fish, but it’s nothing extraordinary in that regard. Still, the water alone is worth the visit. Highly recommend for a relaxing beach day surrounded by natural beauty!

The beach is clean now, there is white sand and the water is not too deep, which allow travellers to reach about 20 meters into the sea with water level only equals their belly. But there is no beach chairs, toilet or shops in the beach, which can be uncomfortable if you want to stay there for long. Still, a very beautiful place and deserved at least a quick stop to take some photos.

This beach is so pretty and peaceful. You can see fish with the naked eye and the water is so clear. You can chill under the cave if you need shade. Overall one of my fav beaches here in Miyakojima

My favourite beach in Miyakojima! Especially at low tide, you can enjoy soaking up sunshine at knee level waters. The rock formation at the sides gives the beach a more distinctive character.

Stunning. Go when the sun is still out but slowly setting. Many tiny fish come out at this time and jump out of the water.

First sunset in Miyako and I Will never forget it, see photos, great for swimming, pristine water. The beach itself is small but most definitely not to miss in Miyakojima
