Wonderful accommodations surrounded by jungle and mountains. A great combination of wild nature and comfortable lodging. Scenic views 360°, spacious clean and cool apartments equipped with fans, hot water showers and mosquito nets. ||We booked one night but ended up staying for 3! Absolutely loved the place and the owner Diane who is very helpful and fun! Diane arranged horseback riding in the mountains for us with a local guide, which was a fantastic experience. ||Please keep in mind that it's not a beach front, there is a river on the premises but the water level depends on the rains. We had a motorcycle so getting to the beach or town was easy ,otherwise Diane will help you to get around ( there are local buses).||A great place that will provide you with tranquility away from the chaos.

The community was friendly and easy to live with, and management was readily available for any needs. However, our room had a bad smell and was overall not very clean (our pillows smelled like mildew, the sheets didn't seem clean, the shower didn't drain, and there was broken glass/dead bugs in the living area). The good parts were the price (although after staying, I wish the price were lower), the view, and (for us) the convenience of being in Munoz.

I stayed there for one month mid Jan to mid Febuary. I just wanted a place where I can relax and kill time of the cold Toronto winter. I met Sam the son of the owner Diane a good young man he showed me around and drove me into Puerto Plata to drop me off at a local grocery store. Now you must understand that if this is what you want if you travel and stay there . Yes there is open air and there is insects as it is a rain forest with a lot of vegetation. You want peace and quiet you can get it if you want a party or to get a bit excitement you can get that too. Its only a 5 minute drive down the mountain into the city. Myself I had a driver Darrel he will drive you anywhere at a fair price he picks you up and drops you off. I even got to see the Super bowl in Cabarete good experience he only charged me a thousand pesos there and back very fair that's like $25 CN you cant be too critical of Suncamp if you have any travel experience and you enjoy the resorts that's fine too enjoy the pool but if you like the country and scenery and a jump in the Munoz river its a good feeling too if you are into the camping like trip. My advice try it for a week if you need more there is plenty condos and hotels at a good price all you have to do is ask around. I will returning there again because of like I stated it has the best of both worlds. Plus you can arrange horse back riding dune buggies scooter rentals and excursions are not too far..

If there would be one Place in the world, which deserve the Name "Paradise" , for me it would be Diane's Suncamp. Peaceful, quiet, beautiful Nature, awesome people and a lot of things to discover. ||During my 4 weeks at Suncamp, i never feeled bored . Everyday I made dozens of experience and learned something new. For example how to dance Bachata.||The Suncamp have a delicious Restaurant including a bar at the beautiful River Munoz. If you want to have a good talk and maybe one or two drinks , it's the perfect place to start the evening. ||Or you just go 2 Minutes and arrive in the Village Munoz, where the friendly locals are celebrating too.||||The Employers were also very friendly and helped me whenever I had questions. If you want to do some awesome Trips, like the 27 Waterfalls, they can give you a lot of informations...||The Rooms which i saw were all in good condition and everything was clean. ||I would strongly advise that Place to everyone , who want to see the Real Dominican Republic and loves the Nature.

The apartments are large and equipped with stove, oven and fridge. A cooling breeze blows through the screened windows. Smaller and cheaper rooms are available. Great place to meet people from all over the world. Dentistry work is much cheaper here. The host and all of her staff are friendly and helpful. Karaoke and billiards are part of the entertainment. Its easy to go into the city or do grocery shopping.

If you search for “lost” place near Puerto Plata and don’t have to high demands on material level then definitely this is a perfect spot. The camp is hidden away from the crowds just behind the river which really gave you opportunity to relax. Owner and all others are super nice and ready to do what ever is needed that you feel as good as possible. |I had an honor to stay in modern room with air condition and nicely decorated place. ||Definitely recomended place for really economic price.

We went there from nov to dec 2016 for volunteering and vacation. it was a heavy raining season i guess :D But it was a funny and great adventure all the time. Samuel and Diane are so nice and helpful. We shared nice evenings with them and the others we met. Of course it is not a resort or something like that, but when one is up to nature and atmosphere, that's the place.||||I am sure we will get back there some day :)||||Greetings from germany

I spent a night in jail once. It was nicer than most of the rooms she had available. The one room that was livable was way overpriced compared to furnished ocean front apartments available here. I thought the first breakfast sandwich would be complimentary since there was nothing else to eat when you wake up hungry in the jungle with no idea where else to eat. And there was no one with a sign to greet me at the airport when I arrived. I was lucky that someone working at the airport knew where her place was to get me a taxi there. Kind of messed up first time in a Spanish speaking country, having no idea where to go, or how to get out to get something to eat.
