Small and cozy dessert place. Limited choices for ice cream flavours, but the flavours were pretty unique. Enjoyed the earl grey lavender. Loved the dark chocolate sea salt honeycomb and the almond thins! You could buy them separately as snacks too. Although after a while they got too sweet as light snacks. Waffles were normal, nothing to shout about. Service was merely OK. Expect queues especially during the weekends so best to make reservations before your visit.

Came on a Monday 8pm and crowd levels were low. Now they have a new rule where evey patron has to order an item, which I think it's fair if a group is gonna stay here for long. Interior was nice and ice-cream flavours were light and satisfies my sweet tooth! Waffle wasn't really crispy anymore with the soft serve on the top. But batter was fragrant. The honey comb topping was really good and highly recommended! I rate: 4/5 🌟 Hot Chocolate and Ice Chocolate Affogato was quite mediocre.. would not recommend to drink expensive Milo and chocolate milk here. I rate: 1/5 🌟 Berry cake was light and fragrant. Has a good pudding texture too. Quite small though. I rate: 3.5/5 🌟

Have been hearing about this brand for awhile. Glad to have finally try my first Sunday Folks yesterday when I'm with my friends at Holland V. Went for my usual flavour along with the waffle and it did not disappoint. The earl grey ice cream was so good! You can also choose to customise your waffle with your choice of ice cream flavour as well as toppings! Cost wise, the Signature Earl Grey Lavender waffle is $13.54 nett after including GST & service charge. They don't serve tap water so if you want it, you can buy the bottled ones. The cafe have nice aesthetic and lots of seats available! Lady at the cashier was also very professional & friendly. Looking forward to be back again for desserts!

Came here for quick dessert and ordered the white rabbit soft serve. Serving was very generous and it was delicious! I used to come here when I was young so it brought back many memories! Next time I will come back and have the soft serve with the waffles! We saw how the staff prepared everything and It was very organised and fun to watch! The smell of the waffles when you enter the shop is heavenly.

I have been coming here for waffle ice cream ever since 6 years ago…? They’ve recently changed up their menu with seasonal flavours which I think is something to look forward to when I come back here once in awhile. No complaints at all with the food and service. I saw many others posted about the change in policy when dining in, but I think this is to make sure that the tables are fully utilised. Might be a put-off so management might want to consider some balance here.

𝙍𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙥𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙤 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙬𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙨 ($13.50) - ice cream was very creamy and slightly sweet although the nutty pistachio flavour could be stronger. - loved the 𝙨𝙚𝙖 𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙩 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙮𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙗 most as it was crunchy which gave a textural contrast and complexity of flavour! - 𝙜𝙪𝙡𝙖 𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙠𝙖 𝙢𝙤𝙘𝙝𝙞 was soft and very chewy - 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙣𝙞𝙚 𝙘𝙪𝙗𝙚𝙨 were moist and chocolatey 😋 - waffle was a little crunchy on the outside with a soft fluffy inside, I liked how they added a biscuit in between the soft serve and waffle to prevent sogginess. Went on a weekday afternoon, made reservations so there’s a min spend of $15/pax. Serves great soft serve with waffles. We ordered the dark chocolate ice cream with waffles, and it was drenched with honey and brownie bits. Worth the queue and visit!

The dessert here is great, their ice cream have nice flavours with great taste. Their waffles are crispy and the toppings are definitely interesting. Their cakes are well made and their tea is very refreshing. However, you may have to wait a while during peak hours. Not forget to commend the friendly staffs. Thank you.

Excellent!!! If you love ice cream and or homemade DELICIOUS things, THIS is it!! I wanted to bottle up the honey comb topping and bring it home to Seattle, it was so perfect. The ice cream is very creamy and the waffles fluffy and crispy (though two was unnecessary). The toppings are generous and SO great. Fresh marshmallows, where have you had fresh marshmallows at an ice cream shop?! The only regret I had was we went here a couple days before we left so I couldn't enjoy it more than once. With the heat and many humid days, this was an amazing experience I wish we had close to home. It is also VERY air conditioned in here. So much so I had to move tables to comfortably enjoy my frozen treats. Service was very polite and portions are indulgent, so plan to share or eat it for a meal. Side note: The Hawker stall at Holland Village was the worst of any I had on the island (really the only bad one but it was REALLY bad). I would opt for a restaurant if you want something decent in the area.

The cafe was by the people behind creamier. Instead of ice cream, the cafe specialized in soft serve. Only cash and NETS payment was accepted here. Help yourself to the water from tap from the counter. This christmas the cafe offered 2 limited desserts and 3 dessert sets. Winter Yuzu Ice Cream Trifle (S$12) Limited to 10 servings per day The dessert used Japanese Yuzu which is a lemon sized fruit with a distinctive, delicate citrus perfume, in season during winter and traditionally used in Japan during the winter solstice. Layered with soft sponge cake and citrus cookie crumbles, the rich indulgent taste of the Madagascan Vanilla ice cream contrasts with the citrus zing of Yuzu gel and light acidity of fresh strawberries. Crowned with a stalk of fresh edible Shiso hanaho flowers. Freshly prepared upon order. Looked simply pretty, it tasted with a zing. Pistachio Chocolate Ice Cream Gateaux (S$12) A double layer of dark chocolate and roasted pistachio ice cream with a red berries sorbert surprise. Encased within an intense bittersweet dark chocolate shell and bedecked with a dallop of Varlhorna Azelia ganache, gold flakes, burnt caramel rice puff brittle and crushed roasted pistachio nuts. A mixture of flavours in the mouth with the rich creamy ice creams, and the intense sorbert. Lemongrass Cucumber Infusion ($6.50) Rehydrate with this refreshing infusion packed with chia seeds, fresh cucumber peels and lemongrass. Tasted like the usual lemongrass drink but with the crunchy chia seeds. Best come early. Although it was just noon, the place was packed.

They used to have awfully long lines but it seems to have petered out. It's still incredibly popular though, despite the massive price tag for what they offer. I literally only get the sea salt gula melaka ice cream here because the cakes are disappointing at best, and the waffles are nothing to write home about. The first couple of times I came, they had relatively nice shiratama balls on the ice cream. Now they serve it with some sad little mochi that aren't very good. The ice cream is still pretty good so I would return for that. I took off a star because the quality has dropped since the last time I was here, and another because the prices don't quite justify their popularity.

Their soft serve ice cream is delicious! My friends and I came on a Sunday night and they were out of cones, so we opted for the soft serve in a cup and it was great. I tried the chocolate flavor, while my friend had the white rabbit (milk) which tastes just like the white rabbit candy. Will return again!

Because there is always space for dessert! went on a Tuesday evening at around 7:30 and there was still a line. It was quick though, took us 10 minutes of waiting before we got sested. Order and pay at the counter, and they will serve you your food. Food wise - the lavender earl grey soft serve ice cream is THE BEST and their waffles are great. My only complaint is the loudness inside the store. By virtue of it being so popular, the tables are packed such that I was back to back with another person and it was hard to move around at all in the store. I would say the soft serve and cakes are definitely worth it only if there's a short wait.

Decided to check out Sunday Folks on a sunday rainy afternoon at 3:30pm. I managed to find a parking spot along the limited parallel parking spots on the road alongside sunday folks. Free parking on sundays! Yay! The minute you step within 10m of the shop's entrance, you see a snaking queue of people seated and standing outside. This iPad system is what greets you at the entrance, and it is your enemy!!!! Based on your party size, it will tell you roughly when, you will get a table. Enter your phone number.. walk back to your car and take a 60 minutes nap. 45 minutes later and HURRAY!~ The iPad system will text you a link that queries your queue number. We finally got a table about 50 minutes after we had entered our particulars into the iPad. Sunday folks isn't very big, still bigger than Creamier but it can be quite loud as the tables are placed quite closely to each other. Walk up to the counter to make your order and you will have to make a choice between waffles and cakes or BOTH! Which is what I ended up ordering! Hipster cafe menu.. gotta love the super tiny font. 1. Matcha Cake $7.90 I loved every bite of this cake, it was so moist, soft and the cream wasn't too sweet. You could taste the green tea bitterness in this cake. For $7.90 it was a taste of heaven! 2. Seasalt Gulamelaka waffle with lavender konnyaku jelly and caramel popcorn $15.20 Here is what I was waiting 50 minutes for, an extremely "instagrammable" waffle. You have like seconds to maybe 1 minute to snap all the photos you want, before the soft serve melts and vapourizes!! I loved the taste of the sea salt gula melaka. You can definitely taste both sides of this soft serve! The caramel popcorn and lavender konnyaku jelly were beautifully decorated around the plate. The jelly had a strong lavender taste and I enjoyed the chewiness of them all. The caramel popcorn was a great choice, to offset the saltiness of the soft serve. And the bill.. shared amongst 2 adults and a 4 yr old, I think it was okay, I wouldn't say sunday folks is cheap. Not to mention, you're gonna need to patiently wait around 45 minutes for a table. **Free parking on sundays! If you can parallel park!! because if you suck at parallel parking,..... everyone outside sunday folk will be watching you!!!. Sorry.. but it was a fact that someone sucked at parallel parking and everyone starred at the poor kid in the Z4.

3.5 Came here at 4:30pm on a Sunday afternoon after a late brunch and it was nearly empty. I guess we were lucky though, bc just half an hr later after being seated, the line started to form out the door! Located amongst the shops of one of our favorite streets in Holland Village, this cute cafe boasts a cute minimalist decor and beautiful signages written in calligraphy. We ordered their popular homemade Caramel sea salt Gula Melka ice cream with waffles (double). From the name, we wrongly assumed that it'd be two scoops of ice cream and one waffle, just the way we preferred it, but it was actually one scoop of ice cream somehow balancing on top of two waffles. The ice cream fell sideways shortly after digging in, soaking the waffle and melting fast on the plate. Minor complaints though, the waffle and ice cream were both decent, and the price tag justifiable at around $8~12 depending on the size you get. But given its popularity with the long wait, it was just okay. It's not a place we'd wait over five minutes and crave regularly. will come back though on date nights, as there are not enough good cafes in the area!

Seeing the queue, looking at the menu, I thought this was another one of those hypes that would just die and just a part of some crazy Singaporean thing in going to a place as long as there is a queue.... So I decided to try this place immediately after work on a Thursday - meaning I was there about 630pm. No queue. There were people but not overly packed. Looked at the prices and it was not as crazy as I though it would be. And because it's a weekday, they had tea sets. So among the three of us, one tea set (coffee plus cake of choice) and of course, their waffle. I went to the counter to order (since I'm generally the crazy one when it comes to ordering food, the other two would just follow instructions...). Asked for their best seller and was told it was the lavender and tea thingy or the caramel sea salt with Gula Melaka. Ordered the Gula Melaka with two waffles, and asked them to recommend a topping. Best seller topping of honeycomb and ... Err... Can't remember but it was really good! When paying though decided to change the ice cream flavour seeing that the people I was with may not be as adventurous. Settled for strawberry instead. Choose Yuzu tea cheese cake for the set. Coffee was nice. Yuzu tea cheese cake was a lighter form of cheese cake (not as dense as ny baked cheese cake, but not as light as the mousse or jap cheese cake type. I like!) but friends were saying that the tea taste is not strong enough, which I have not agree. Love the texture though. The waffle - presentation win full points. And I would like to credit the person who put so much thought into this. All the toppings were places on the side, so as to not dampen or soften the waffles. The waffles were hot and o-so-delicious on its on. The soft serve ice cream laid on top of a chocolate coated thin wafer - purpose to prevent the ice cream from melting, and keeping it away the hot waffle but at the same time making the whole plate looking so yummy. This wafer also allowed you to move the ice cream to the side, while being able to eat the waffle and ice cream together without messing up the rest of the plate. And enabling you to enjoy the warm waffle (yes, took too many pics and appreciating the waffle that is is now warm instead of hot) with the ice cream. Kudos to whoever who gave so much thought to this :) Definitely going back, would love to try their cone and their signature soft serve ice cream flavours. P/s strawberry flavoured soft serve was a delicious choice!

I had their waffles with Sea Salt Gula Melaka ice cream and also tasted my friend's Earl Grey Lavender ice cream. The waffles is nicely made with just the right amount of saltiness. Goes vey well with the maple syrup and chocolate hazelnut sauce drizzled on the peripheral of the plate. The sweetness of the gula melaka ice cream was a good complement to the savory waffles. The earl grey lavender ice cream is lighter in flavor- very floral and had a nice tea taste. I preferred the heavier favored gula malaka ice cream for the waffles! The earl grey lavender ice cream might be nicer as a stand-alone in a cone. The waffles also came with small pieces of strawberries and blueberries. They did not go well with the other items on the plate as the taste (sweetness/sourness) of the fruit pieces was a bit too strong. I ate them up after I had finished my waffles.

I thought going for waffles at 9.15pm was a brilliant brainwave. Turns out more than 50 other Singaporeans had the same idea as me, and my family and I were faced with one of Sunday Folks' infamous queues. Thanks to people leaving and opting for takeout, we were seated within 15 minutes. Hurrah! We obviously gravitated straight to their waffles and soft serve (gula melaka with sea salt and roasted pistachio flavours). I threw in their sticky toffee cake as well for good measure. Their closing hour was met with a rush of teenagers getting takeout ice cream cones so it took a while for our order to be served. Full marks for presentation. There is a reason why their waffles are so popular on Instagram. The plates look like works of art, with the toppings scattered prettily along the side. They have even slid a charcoal wafer between the ice cream and waffle to keep the latter warm and fresh. I love the thought that has gone into this and it really shows. Taste wise, the gula melaka's flavour wasn't as strong as I was hoping. I definitely didn't taste the sea salt either and this was a big let down. With every other ice creamery in Singapore offering this flavour, SF needs to step it up on this front. The pistachio fared much better and was devoured quickly (after the requisite photos had been taken from ALL angles obviously). Their topping game is strong. Wide and varied selection from chocolate honeycomb to granola. An additional topping doesn't even cost you much extra. As for the sticky toffee cake, it is forgettable. The sponge was alright but when you think sticky toffee you think gooey, caramel goodness. In comparison, the cake was dry sans the bit of syrup they had trickled on the top. Disappointing slice. Regardless, will definitely give it another try, at least for their gorgeous waffles.

Really great ice cream waffles! We ordered the Gula Melaka Sea Salt, Pistachio, and Earl Grey Lavender. The earl grey ice cream had really intense flavor, like none other tea flavored ice cream that I had ever tried. The sea salt ice cream went really well with the gula melaka syrup. I don't really seek for pistachio in my usual diet, but it was still really good. All the waffles were crispy on the outside and were able to withstand the ice cream's moisture, but were soft and warm on the inside. Really enjoyed my food here.

This is just the place for a hot day out. The soft-served cones are all served with a touch of something special. Though it may be a little pricey, but they are all specially crafted with toppings which compliments whichever flavour you may have picked. And with the location & simple decor, it makes it a perfect sunday chill-out spot (or a chill-out spot anyday).

Finally there're no longer hipsters and excited girlfriends dragging bored but placating boyfriends lining up outside Sunday Folks...now I can consider this for more regular, low-key visits! Previously I was one of those that once waited 2-3 hours for the waffles topped with soft serve ice cream. (Or let's be real, the main point was to get photos of those beautiful painstakingly plated dishes.) When I was there from 1pm+ earlier today (Sunday), there was no wait at all and plenty of empty tables. Founded by the folks behind Cremier, Sunday Folks in Chip Bee Gardens is a little more upscale and trendy, and of course pricier as well. It's the type of place to hang out with friends, not quite the place to read a book and enjoy some solitude. The waffles - crispy and perfectly browned - are most popular, but tbh you can make good waffles in your own kitchen if you care enough to. The toppings include creations like lavender jelly, gula melaka mochi, toasted caramel popcorn, etc and adorn the waffle dishes very attractively. The stars to me are the subtle, inventive soft-serve flavours. The earl grey lavender and sea salt gula melaka are the standouts - I personally love the floral, light taste of the earl grey ice cream. The sea salt one goes very well with the waffles. I tried dark chocolate today, served in a cone with toasted caramel popcorn and marshmallows ($7.90), and it was nothing very special. The cakes looked good (when do they not?), and I may try them along with the coffee the next time I visit. The only complaint/slight inconvenience is that they provide free tap water, but the fancy bird-shaped tap only releases water at a trickle. So you'll see many people waiting patiently for quite awhile just to fill a teeny cup. I'm betting Sunday Folks will continue doing well in the years to come, and give the Daily Scoop some good 'ol competition!

Confused this place with Daily Scoop (at the same street). It was pretty crowded when I stopped by here on a Saturday evening. We had to wait for approximately 1/2 hour. We ordered the Earl Grey Lavender soft serve with waffles, almond flakes and konnyaku jelly. The soft serve melted quickly. Was expecting it to have stronger taste of earl grey or lavender but unfortunately it was mild. The waffles was alright but the jelly came in generous scoops and it did give the dish flavors. Will give this place another try.

The lavender earl grey ice cream is perfect... i ordered gula melaka mochi and honey comb is suoer good. Loves it

This is a really cute ice cream place. I was living in Holland Village during my work assignment to Singapore. Found out about it while walking in the neighbourhood and decided to try it out. Tried the Earl Grey Lavender ice cream, and the Sea-Salt Gula Melaka on my second. Both are good, but I'd recommend the Gula Melaka. The ice cream is always served with toppings. The place is always crowded especially on weekends. People actually wait in line to get a table. Just have it to go and enjoy it while walking in the Holland shopping area.

Today was the third time I've been here! I would say their soft serve is one of the best around (albeit it does melt pretty fast in this weather) I always order the same thing every time I came here; earl grey lavender ice cream with waffles. Their whiskey chocolate cake was moist and tasty. Worth a try! Do try to come early to beat the crowd! :)

Came here on a Saturday around 4 pm, but saw quite a long queue (30 mins wait) so decided to walk around the area and go try somewhere else. However by 6 pm, there was no queue at all and in face there were like 5 empty tables. So decided to stop by to see what the raves are all about. To enjoy the ice cream on a cone or cup is S$7.20. You'd get to pick one of these 6 flavors (Summer Strawberries, Roasted Pistachio, Earl Grey Lavender, Madagascar Vanilla, Sea Salt Gula Melaka, Dark Chocolate). One of the employees told me that the most popular flavor is earl grey lavender, the second one is sea salt gula melaka, the third one is roasted pistachio. The person I came here with already tried the earl grey lavender and roasted pistachio. Cos we were gonna get something to share, so we decided to get sea salt gula melaka instead. Just fyi, the ice cream here is soft serve style. We wanted to eat it with the waffle. To buy only the waffle is 8.00, but to enjoy the waffle with ice cream of your choice with petit size (single size) waffle, you just need to top up 80 cent more which I think is definitely worth it. I am picky when it comes to the waffle's texture and taste and I think Sunday folks nailed it. However, the ice cream taste wise I'd say that it turns out to be very disappointing - judging that sea salt gula melaka is the second best seller, I don't expect it to be SOOO sweet to the point it made my very very thirsty and has quite bitter after taste :( I think I'd need to give a second shot for this place to try their other two best sellers. Maybe I'd change my mind then.

Irresistible soft serve ice cream. I now understand why Sunday Folks is so popular. The interesting ready mix ice cream with topping is a full meal in itself. I particularly enjoy The pistachio flavour. Not many places can make good pistachio ice cream that doesn't taste like essence but this was pretty light and fragrant at the same time. Want something more? Try the waffle! Paired with the popular ice cream, they really make a great dessert. Looking for brunch, tea or just some supper snack, try Sunday Folks! Don't forget to also check out the quaint neighbourhood as they have other pretty interesting things around, like the Monocle Store.

If you like going to places that specialize in 1-2 things rather than offering a wide range of choices, Sunday Folks is your place. They specialize in Belgian waffles and homemade ice cream, both of which are distinct and close to perfection. Ingredients are fresh and beautifully presented. Sunday Folks has one of the longest queues in the holland village area, but they make the wait less painful by having you check in and calling you when your table is ready. There are several cute shops and cafes nearby that you can kill time with. Would definitely go back to eat the Earl Grey Lavender ice cream again!

I have been hearing about this place for so long and personally been there 3 times but could never get in because there was always a long line and finally one time when there was no line, we found the place closed at 4pm for a private event. doh... anyways this time i was determined to get a table and delighted to find that they have installed a new queue system for easy management. after you get your queue number, you will be notified by phone call when your table is available; they share the same system that's being used by a mookata place in katong so i found myself being recognized after i put in my cell phone number. the wait was an hour so i stayed comfy by hanging out in Phoon Huat next door instead of melting in the humidity on a Friday afternoon. to be fair i bought birthday candles in exchange for the AC. the service at Sunday Folks was great throughout and we even got a special plate of dessert because it was New Years (so sweet of the lady bosses). but i have to say they do have awesome soft serve ice cream and waffles - we had strawberry fields and gula melaka. Delicious!! waffles were crispy and they stayed that way because the soft serve were served on a piece of biscuit to prevent soaking the waffles while you take your time in snapping pictures. smart! we paid extra for toppings but it didn't really make a difference because there wasn't much of it to see or taste or even remember about. i wish they gave us more toppings for what we paid. I will return for sure but hopefully on a day when the queue isn't long.

Oh why oh why did the management decide to sell soft serve ice cream? Is soft serve the new hipster? Is making me pay for high overrun (i.e. air) and water the latest in dessert trends? Are operating costs too high to use more quality double cream at $11.80 a pop (waffle + ice cream)? I had such high hopes as this place hails from Creamier (Toa Payoh) fame. Creamier's waffles were paired with delicious super-premium handcrafted ice cream - Earl Grey, Pistachio, Sea Salt Gula Melaka, Black Sesame, Lemon Yuzu, Satsuma Imo and more, countless wonderful flavours backed by a rich and thick texture with excellent mouthfeel. Alas, Sunday Folks only offers soft serve. Do not like. Soft serve affect flavour. Soft serve melt too quickly on warm waffle. Soft serve like cheap McD's cone. I would have given them the full 5 stars had they only served the same super-premium ice cream from Creamier. It wouldn't matter that Sunday Folks carries only 6 flavours since the waffle itself is still decent, and they also have cakes (not available at Creamier). But instead of choosing to rise above the height of all their competitors since Daily Scoop and Island Creamery (in Holland Village), Sunday Folks has chosen to fall into cost-cutting darkness with all that is left of their kin.

Finally!! Try some dessert place: sunday folks is just a couple miles away from holland village MRT.. This place serve you waffle ice cream and also nice taste of lemon cake.. U have to try this one!! Not to sweet..just nice!!

Waffles and soft serve were cool five or six years ago, so I was skeptical of the place. Thankfully Singapore, you've proven me wrong. This is an evolved version of the waffle-yo I used to get circa 2009--this is the upgraded, hipster version. They even have birds as decor (re: Portlandia "Put a Bird on It"). The waffle/soft serve combination is like chicken/waffles, most places excel with one and ignore the other, but Sunday Folks is spot on. The waffles are cooked to a golden brown, long enough that they're firm and stand up to the weight of the soft serve. These cooks are smart, there's a wafer between the waffle and soft serve that prevent melting and sogginess. The soft serve flavors are creative without sacrificing taste. I will definitely come back to have more.

Definitely get the waffle here WITH the ice cream. We tried the earl grey lavender and the pistachio ice cream. They were both good, but I prefer the earl grey ice cream. I just wish they were more generous with the toppings. Be prepared to wait to get seated. We waited almost an hour for 2 people.

Matcha cake and mocha afternoon tea set ($10) The matcha cake is light and flavorful but there's too much cream. 3.5 stars. The mocha was good, but do note they only have whole milk - no soy or low-fat milk. 4 stars. The soft-serve ice cream is terribly over-priced though. 2.5 stars.

For a type 1 diabetic who had a low blood sugar that turned me ravenous, this place is great. But seriously it is one of my new favourite spots in Singapore. The cakes were fluffy and fresh. While the ice cream was some of the best I have had since Messina in Sydney. One word Go! You can see care is put into the desserts here.

Nice cozy place for ice cream, cakes and coffee. Ice cream topped with a choice of fruits and nuts. Great range of cake to complement with their frozen yoghurt and coffee. Unfortunately the crowd is just too overwhelming at the moment, so can be rather trying on your impatience. Service although not too fast, is generally pleasant.

The Belgian waffles were well made and served warm so it was still crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. Goes very well with the hula melaka ice cream which I tried :)

I am very torn about this place. The price is painful; $13 for two small slices of waffle with ice cream and no additional toppings. The waffles are not very good; they end up being too crispy and tasteless by the time you get to them. You get a meagre serving of fruit on the side and they are oh-so-conservative with the chocolate drizzle and maple syrup. The redeeming quality is the ice cream. The earl grey lavender ice cream was stupendously good and rescued this cafe from being another over-priced 3-star joint.

Read about the long queues but it must have been a lucky day for my band of merry folk, we simply strolled in. The place was crowded, noisy and cosy... if this combination is even possible. Lol. Had the sea salt gula melaka ice-cream on waffles, dark chocolate (iirc) ice-cream on waffles and a slice of the yuzu cheesecake shared among 4 after dinner. The ice-cream was smooth and flavourful, the waffles was crispy on the outside but soft on the inside (not your floppy pancake-like waffles a-la Polar Cakes). Don't get me wrong I love-love-love my Polar Cakes waffles with peanut butter. Even though we started with polite nibbles, we were all soon attacking our desserts in earnest. You should see the how cleanly we mopped up the melted ice-cream puddles on our plates! If you think the yuzu cheesecake was blah because there was nary a mention, you are sorely mistaken. It was dense, the yuzu flavour was evident, the cake was on the whole delightful but it played second fiddle to the waffles simply because you are talking about a group of ice-cream mad folk + the waffles was way more visually appealing. We'll be back for sure.

Awesome presentation, Sea Salt Gula Melaka Ice cream was great, coupled with nana Green tea topping. Nice! Not very wallet friendly though. But it's a good dessert place if you were to be in Holland v.
