Savannah Just Keeps Getting Cooler—Here’s Where to Soak in the City’s Creative Buzz | Vogue

"Inspired by the tradition of gathering with family after a long week, this all-day brunch-and-dinner spot celebrates cooking passed down through generations, where joy and heritage are key ingredients. The menu leans Vietnamese, with plenty of comforting Southern classics to share: start with sticky rice patties, avocado fresh rolls with seafood dipping sauce, and oysters before moving on to a ban xeo crepe and shrimp and grits (when in Savannah, right?)." - Lindsay Cohn

I have ate at this establishment 2 times in the last month and I truly enjoy the food and vibe. A group of us visited it yesterday for my birthday brunch. It was 6 of us and James (the hostess) was amazing and accommodating. The food was good but a few items were returned for correction. The server we had wasnt that great, maybe she didnt have any experience with a larger party but it didn't spoil my bday brunch!! The atmosphere is beautiful so I will be back.

I was so looking forward to Sunday Sunday. While the service and the atmosphere were awesome, the food was ok and the portions small for what we paid, I would expect some kind of breakfast potatoes with a $21 Benedict and a $19 French Toast. The drinks were good, well made. The space follows all of the Rhino Groups restaurants, beautiful with unique touches. I hope they make edits to either the pricing or the portions to get locals coming back. The Benedict was interesting with prosciutto. I was hoping that it was crispy or at least cooked in some way, unfortunately it was not making it very difficult to cut through.

Sunday Sunday really impressed me. The first thing you notice is how beautiful the place is. The decor is warm, stylish, and full of little details that make it feel special. It was packed when I got there with a waitlist, but luckily a spot opened up at the bar so I didn’t have to wait too long. The server was excellent, super friendly and attentive. You could tell they actually cared about making sure everyone was having a good experience. I ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee, which was a little sweet but still nice and strong. The fresh shrimp rolls were plated really well and the fish sauce for dipping matched perfectly. The egg rolls were also presented nicely and tasted great. The grits, though, were the highlight. They were soft, creamy, and honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. Overall, everything was exceptional. From the food to the service and the vibe, Sunday Sunday really got it right. I’d definitely come back again.

Google
This was a gem of a find. A beautifully decorated restaurant, which felt both homely and modern at the same time. They have their lighting down to a tee! The food was amazing. A simple, but well-thought-out menu with a clear Vietnamese thread throughout, while balancing French and American influence in both menu and decor. Would highly recommend doing the yuzu melon salad alongside the chicken. The refreshing salad bursts with bright flavour, while the perfectly cooked chicken has a light batter that allows it to stay super crispy while the chicken meat stays moist and tender. Definitely the best fried chicken I had in Savannah. Very generous serving sizes as well. The service was also excellent, with the head waiter being perfectly attentive and very personable. Couldn’t recommend Sunday Sunday enough!

Google
We stopped in for brunch today and we were WOWED by the adorable aesthetic. Very picturesque/instagramable. It’s so well designed so didn’t expect the food and service to be the best because typically you don’t get everything in one restaurant. That was not the case with Sunday Sunday. The food was incredible. The hashbrowns and matcha were to die for!! We had Cameron as our server. She was SUCH a delight. The sweetest and super attentive. This place has it all with her, how lucky they are to have her on their team! She made sure to celebrate my birthday be bringing us a delicious creme brûlée! We will be back!

Google
We absolutely enjoyed our time at Sunday Sunday! It’s a very unique restaurant that features both French and Vietnamese cuisine, and does a great job at both! The staff were super friendly and helpful, and I really loved the decoration of the restaurant. Very classy and elegant! Their brunch is delicious, the crepe, the Thai Noodle Soup, the pancakes, and the French toasts were just amazing!!

Google
We came here for brunch and it was delicious! Staff is delightful, James our server was so kind! Definitely recommend trying the Vietnamese, coffee, and the avocado toast! We also got the spring rolls and they were so yummy!

Google
SO good! This was our favorite meal in Savannah!! French Vietnamese vibes were so fun. We started w truffle fries and the crepe- both blew us away don’t miss the crepe!! I had the coconut curry soup which was perfection and my husband had the filet- cooked perfectly and so delicious. The restaurant was adorable!! Don’t miss this— it’s a really good break from the traditional fried southern food.

Yelp
Spent the weekend in Savannah and so happy to have found this great brunch spot. I was with two of the pickiest eaters I know and they loved it! Service was attentive and friendly. The vibes were classy and fun. It's a decent sized restaurant they were able to sit our party of 5 and a baby in a stroller very comfortably. They offer a great variety of food. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The grits were surprisingly the best I had in the whole trip. Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
Sunday Sunday was a highly recommended restaurant by locals as this is a new up and coming restaurant. They focus their dishes based on traditional Vietnamese dishes with a twist of French style flavors. The recommendation did not disappoint. Definitely recommend the pork chop. The pork chop had a nice lemongrass flavor in their sauce. Service and ambiance, we were a group of 7 and they were able to accommodate us and were mindful of the ages of our party so they put us in the corner so my 3 year old can enjoy his time but also not disturb other patrons. They took care of our stroller and stored it for us in their back area. The ambiance was fancy and upscale. French music playing in the background and French style dishes. This place is going to do well if they keep providing the same service and dishes we experienced.

Yelp
A delicious elegant fusion breakfast. We came right when they opened at 10 on a Wednesday and there was no wait. The ambience is beautiful with a mix of Vietnamese and Parisian decor. Drink: - not too sweet, lovely pumpkin spice latte from their seasonal menu Food: Everything was a win! - lemon pancakes: delicate and light with delicious layers of mascarpone. - egg rolls: surprisingly very filling. It looks like six pieces since they are cut in half. I loved all the little toppings. This was a unique dish - biscuit: fluffy with a fresh jam preserve on the side. - hash-browns: some of the best I've had in a while. So peppery!

Yelp
Popped in just before close for a late lunch after a long travel day. Was welcomed and seated quickly with several great recommendations from my server.. chose the green goddess. I think it was called and it was perfect. Loved the pistachios with the avocado - never had that before. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other recommendations! Beware the habanero Bloody Mary is no joke! It's spicy!!

Yelp
Decided to give this place a try for dinner. It was such a fun twist on Vietnamese food! We really enjoyed each dish for its creativity and taste. The place has an upscale diner type of feel with booths and tables. The service was great and attentive. I can imagine this place being really great for their brunch food as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute place for brunch! There was a long wait but we were able to put our name in and shop around. The brunch food itself was ok. The real stars were the Asian inspired dishes. Service was friendly and fast.

Yelp
OMG! Sooo good as usual you cannot go wrong with any of their restaurants here in Savannah. The liver pate and duck fat potatoes were amazing. Fried chicken was good. The sauces were great. I actually preferred the sauce from the chicken on the potatoes. Crabcakes were also very good. Drinks were fabulous.

Yelp
Second time stopping by this new spot in Savannah. Please see my first review for more details. This time I had the mushroom pasta, which was hearty, savory, and delicious. Generous portion. I has several more cocktails, including: Wright square mule (familiar, light, refreshing) Flaming June (vodka, Thai chili infused citrus bend, lychee), which was tangy and a little spicy. Bittersweet aperitif (aperitif, gin, lemon, cherry syrup, champagne), delicious and adorable with a cute little duck floating on top. and Sunday sunset, made with mezcal, limeade, creme de mure, Smoky, perfect to go drink to stroll Savannah streets. Service was perfect again. Next time I'll have to try brunch here because I bet it's killer.

Yelp
Subday, Sunday was the PERFECT cap on our quick Savannah, weekend getaway! Loved that they weren't overly crowded and that theyre just off or one of the main drags-- this made for a quieter ambiance that was ideal for quality time with family + guests! Every food item we got was delicious. Most special, per the table's consensus, was the Fried Chicken Basket (I believe its two legs, a breast, and a thigh) and anything that comes with the AMAZING French Toast (sourced from the lovely local: Auspicious Bakery). The prices were higher than a local diner, but we paid for VALUE: immaculate ambiance, great service, adorable side booth for our large group, delicious food with good sized portions, and quaint atmosphere for building mems with our guests & family. Would definitely recommend this spot for your Brunch!

Yelp
The menu has a lot of what seem to be great options, however when receiving our savory food the taste was very bland. The presentation was gorgeous but it was missing flavor. The place is super cute and pretty and service is very kind. Just needs more improvement with the savory food. The sweets were very good though!
google avatar

Yelp
Wow!! Beautiful place terrific French Bistro Vibes and exceptional food. What more could you ask for.... Oh right... reasonable prices (yes you read that right!)
google avatar

Hallie O.

Yelp
The ambiance was really cute! The restaurant was very clean. Service was good. However, we didn't feel they were super attentive. The food was nothing to write home about. The fried chicken was really good, but it doesn't come with any sides. The curry and the avocado toast were both just okay. But the avocado toast was cold.

Yelp
Putting it plainly, this place was amazing! As a Savannah native who lived in Washington, DC for a very long time, I have to leads with the fact that it didn't feel like you're in Savannah at ALL! This restaurant looks like one of those Michelin rated restaurants in NYC or DC. Truly one of the most (if not THEE most) beautiful restaurants in Savannah. In talking about the food, a Vietnamese inspired menu with French techniques is always going to BBS visited by me. The menu is expansive with something for everyone. Sadly we could not try everything, but what we had was amazing. There were flavors you will only find here in all of Savannah. Everything tasted new, yet familiar, something that can only be done through sheer genius. Definitely go here sooner than later. I hope to come back and try other things on the menu to give a better review down the road!!!!

Yelp
Stopping into Sunday Sunday on a random Tuesday, was probably the best idea ever! For starters the ambiance is so cute and chic. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious and I lovedddd my strawberry matcha. We had the fried chicken, egg rolls and the duck fat potatoes. There was nothing spectacular about the potatoes, but overall everything was really good. Our waitress was also very animated and outgoing, which was a treat! I have been recommending it to friends ever since.

Yelp
We were so excited to try Sunday Sunday! We stopped in on a Sunday night - We had a reservation for 6 pm. We sat immediately but we were not greeted for about 15-20 minutes. Not a huge deal for me, but the restaurant only had about 4 tables sat total. The dining area is quite lovely with tons of window seats and beautiful paintings. We started with the Zucchini Frites(not pictured). They were good but the aioli they are served with was the highlight here. Other than that, nothing too special. We enjoyed the Wild Mushroom Pasta and a he Filet (not pictured- my boyfriend dove right in!!). Both meals were delicious and savory. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly as was the pasta. The Filet was also delicious per his account. We got mashed potatoes as a side and fried rice too. The fried rice was absolutely delicious, and I would definitely eat it again. The mashed were good too, nothing crazy though. I also tried the Ca Phe Noire. Interesting drink combination of mezcal, Vietnamese coffee, and coconut foam. I liked it, but it's definitely a brunch drink! Overall a good meal in a beautiful setting. We are looking forward to coming back for brunch!

Yelp
Where do I begin? So this restaurant is beautiful with an elevated cozy feel, with great service and a great menu. Today I wanted grits, they were amazing. I paired it with a chicken breast, biscuit and Caesar salad. Everything was tasty. They have a beautiful full bar area, very cutesy! I had the strawberry yuzu mimosa, it was so refreshing, I had to have another. It wasn't too sweet, the yuzu gave it the perfect citrus notes, bubbly yum. The menu features a variety of fusion of Sunday brunch style Vietnamese, American and French classics.

Yelp
My husband and I just got into town and used Yelp to find a lunch spot. It's our third trip to Savannah so we were happy to find Sunday Sunday. The restaurant is beautiful with a formal yet comfortable southern charm. Our server was kind and helpful especially when my husband spilled his water. After that clean up we checked out the menu filled with interesting combinations of Vietnamese and classic American cooking. I enjoyed my mushroom omelette perfectly cooked with light fluffy eggs, several types of mushrooms sautéed with butter and served with I think Gruyère cheese. My husband raved about his coconut curry noodle soup. I was lucky to receive one bite, which was amazing.! We will return another day the next time we are in town.

Yelp
There truly aren't enough words to describe how amazing Sunday Sunday is! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away. The space itself is stunning--every nook and cranny has been thoughtfully designed, with beautiful details throughout. It feels like every corner has its own charm, and yet the entire restaurant flows together perfectly. WOW! The staff was incredibly sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We started with the Bittersweet Apéritif--so refreshing and well-balanced--and the seasonal oysters, which were fresh and delicious. But the star of the show? The salmon. Hands down the BEST salmon I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth, rich in flavor--I'm still thinking about it. Completely unforgettable. My boyfriend ordered the ribeye, which was also fantastic--flavorful and cooked to perfection. Before we left, we actually stopped near the kitchen to personally tell the team how amazing the food was. And just outside, we saw a couple debating whether to go in--we immediately told them, "You HAVE to eat here!" If you're thinking about trying Sunday Sunday--don't hesitate. You'll be dreaming about your meal long after you've left.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this gem on its opening night. Had a fantastic meal and would recommend! Where to start? The restaurant is decorated / styled in a refreshingly unique and tasteful way. Definitely a unique vibe for the city. Then you get to the drinks menu / bar. A diverse and fun set of drinks are offered. We got the lemongrass / gin / champagne (forgetting the name!) and a really nice chat with the bartender. Then the food. A breath of fresh air for the Savannah dining scene. Tasty, healthy, light and unique. We loved Sunday Sunday!
google avatar

Nick B.

Yelp
Sunday Sunday has great vibes and excellent service. The standout for me was the avocado toast -- citrus-forward smashed avocado topped with microgreens and tomatoes. Fresh, balanced, and definitely what will keep me coming back. My coffee was ok - iced oat milk latte

Yelp
Sunday Sunday is the latest restaurant addition to the Rhino Hospitality Group portfolio here in Savannah. The restaurant is located downtown on a one-way street approximately two blocks from a parking garage, but I found a parking space about one block from the restaurant. We were promptly greeted and seated when we arrived. Our host was very knowledgeable about the menu with a very pleasant demeanor. The seating is well-designed with a touch of elegance and beautiful touches throughout the restaurant. There are seating arrangements for everyone from solo diners to large groups. We ordered the sticky rice cakes for appetizers and they were very delicious. I am not a fish and grits person, but I did try them as my entree during this visit. The grits arrived hot and moist accompanied by perfectly prepared sauteed shrimp. The presentation and seasonings were on point. The evening visit certainly met the Rhino Hospitality Groups expectations based on previous visits to their restaurants. We had a great time and will return soon.

Yelp
Best meal of our trip. Shrimp and grits were excellent. Great cocktails as well as the fresh shrimp rolls. Their restaurant is beautiful and servers are engaged. Love this place.

J K.

Yelp
8 out of 10 for ambiance and food 9 out of 10 for service 5 out 10 for no craft cocktails 1 out 10 for the wine selection (only cheap wines marked-up 6x)
google avatar

Yelp
Such an cute southern style restaurant with Vietnamese flair. The eggs Benedict on biscuits was amazing and the made a great espresso martini as well. The food is solid and the service was attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
The best restaurant I tried in Savannah. Must try is their vegetable fried rice. Sooooo simple yet so delicious. Honestly every item we ordered was good and I wish I could have tried everything. Service is also excellent and the decor is so cute.
google avatar

Yelp
This place exceeded our expectations. The service was impeccable with a great ambience and the food was very good. Highly recommended and will be back.

Savannah M.

Yelp
The service is so wonderfully personable and the music and atmosphere are on point! This was the best avocado toast I have ever had in my life! If I could choose one thing to eat for the rest of my days it would be THIS AVOCADO TOAST!

Christina H.

Yelp
This was a surprisingly perfect dinner spot on any night of the week! We love their turmeric chicken and oysters. I've gone back for the turmeric chicken several times. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Yelp
Sunday Sunday is everything you want in a brunch spot when out with friends. It's stylish, delicious, and laid-back with a cool mid-century vibe that fits perfectly in downtown Savannah. The food was outstanding. I went with the Benedict in Rome (with Salmon), and it was rich, balanced, and beautifully prepared. My wife ordered one of their omelets and couldn't stop raving about it. Portions are just right -- satisfying without being over the top. Coffee lovers, take note: the Vietnamese coffee was a standout. Strong, smooth, and a perfect brunch pairing. Their regular drip and espresso drinks also hit the mark. The space itself feels hip yet comfortable, making it a great place to linger a bit and soak in the energy of the city.
google avatar

Jeff F.

Yelp
The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. For lunch the 2 of us tried a very tasty fried rice side dish and the salmon (reallllllllly tender and tasty with a delicious sauce) and the crepe (excellent - although it can get a little messy eating it!). Definitely recommend.

Yestersay _.

Yelp
One of the best brunch spot in Savannah! I just loved the vibe! Food was also great! And, the waiters and waitresses were so nice and kind!

Gabrielle P.

Yelp
this is the best breakfast spot we have found in Savannah from the food to the atmosphere to the service. Everything really was up to or exceeded our expectations. I could sit here and nitpick, but I don't even want to because this place was so good and we've already gone back several times and I think about it when I'm not there.
google avatar

Jessie B.

Yelp
The atmosphere was delightful and the food was delicious. Good prices and great service. This is a great addition to dt Savannah

Yelp
Best brunch I've ever had. It's been a few days since visiting and I'm still thinking about it. Service was amazing, however the wait was very long (1hr+). Interior was super cute and trendy. Great spot for cute brunch pics.

Brooke B.

Yelp
I've heard such great things about Sunday Sunday as a local, and that's hard to come by with Rhino Group. I came in on a Saturday morning with a party of 6 and had a little over an hour wait which is totally fine and understandable. The service was great up until we ordered. Each of us ordered a drink, and given that it was busy we were expecting to wait. However, we didn't think that our drinks would take more than 30 minutes to come out and come out much later than our food. And when the drinks did arrive, two the drinks came out wrong (peach Bellini minus the peach x2). The food was fantastic, everyone was super happy with what they got. One of our people spilled their drink all over the table in front of one or two staff members who walked away. We had to ask for more napkins which were thrown on our table. After this, the waitstaff neglected to check on us. There was minimal acknowledgement of the spilled drink, just someone saying "oh I see what happened here". One of the bussers came to remove our plates, and it was not clear about what dishes they were taking. When asked about glasses vs dishes, she stated "nope. Just dishes." I understand that service members are overworked but being rude and short when a customer is asking a question is hard to rationalize. Lastly, there was no acknowledgment of gratuity until checks were given. Which yes, normally groups over 6 have gratuity, but it wasn't on our menus or anywhere that we could read at our table. I was really looking forward to experiencing Sunday Sunday like the rest of my friends had but am leaving with a sour taste in my mouth (not from the lemon pancakes btw.) Maybe it was an off day, but still. Hard to just brush off when you're dealing with consumers/services and goods.

Terri B.

Yelp
We absolutely love dining at Sunday Sunday. The vibe is upscale casual. The staff is very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Our food is always amazing. We recently selected the filet mignon, grilled salmon, brussel sprouts, and duck fat potatoes which were excellently prepared. Sunday Sunday is our go to restaurant in Savannah.
google avatar

Zane W.

Yelp
Sad. Sunday brunch was eggs from a carton and the wild mushroom omelette was several pieces of mushrooms with a few pieces of cheese. The French toast is just regular bread. This is Diner food at best, completely mismatched with the beautiful interior design and friendly staff. This appears to be Rhino's strategy with all their locations; hook you with a good atmosphere and hoodwink you with bland over-priced food.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Hosted a ladies brunch here a few Sundays back - we sported our best Sunday sundresses and showed up to glow up from sisterly fellowship. The aesthetic is absolutely incredible. Service, despite an extremely busy and packed house, was outstanding particularly based on the complexities of a large and dynamic group like us. Food was Delicious, many other things on the menu I am hoping to try. Overall, highly recommend, whether it's for a cute meet-up with your bestie for a cocktail or a small or large group. You won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Belle C.

Yelp
Portions are very small for the prices. Food was decent. Very loud atmosphere. I fear people like it due to it being aesthetically good for photo ops. When it comes to restaurants, I want the food to be good.

shawna v.

Yelp
The best restaurant in Savannah. Brunch was immaculate. I will dream of the tuna sandwich with salad and hot sauce, the flavors were so composed and clean. The Old Fashion cocktail was like silk with a hint of orange blossom, the smoothest OF I've ever had. The lemon pancakes were heaven. The fried chicken cooked to perfection. Service was friendly and helpful, restaurant was beautiful.
google avatar

Gabrielle L.

Yelp
They make their matcha the hard way, right in front of you! I was massively impressed. The food was good and the place itself is really cute. Ask for Kat for your drinks. She knows how to make cocktails and lattes, and she makes them all delicious and is so nice to talk to!
google avatar

Bradford G.

Yelp
Food, service, and ambience was great! They don't take reservations on the weekends, but totally with the wait time; which was not too bad.

Truc T.

Yelp
The food is amazing. Our first time in Savanah and this place hold the best memories for me. The place itself is so beautiful everything was perfect for a cute girls brunch. We have to came back twice for the spicy tuna sandwich. It's was so good.

Kay H.

Yelp
My husband and I had an exceptional experience today at Sunday Sunday. They were only open 4 days this week, so we were a little hesitant, but service was attentive, food was so flavorful and seasoned well, and the ambiance is unmatched; it's like we were transported to a large metropolitan city. We tried the fried chicken basket with fried rice (super yummy ), avocado toast with 2 eggs, and Bahn Xeo crepes. Wow, such unique flavor combination. We are already planning more brunch with friends and family. Kudos to Rhino team!
google avatar

Kathryn R.

Yelp
Loved the decor and atmosphere. Very pretty and charming. My wild mushroom omelet was just average, however. Not bad, but far from special or great. Disappointed.

Larry C.

Yelp
Food was amazing along with excellent service! The atmosphere was superb! Nice vibe for The area!

Jonathan W.

Yelp
Food was great. Drinks and service were questionable at best. Servers were rude and non attentive. Drinks finally came out 15-20 minutes after food came out after asking about them.

Maria B.

Yelp
I got the sweet Sunday I think essentially it's French toast, bacon and eggs, and everything was delicious. The only thing I wish that they offered was egg whites. I also wish that this came with like a full order of French toast and not just two pieces of French toast, but everything tasted heavenly. The only thing is the bacon was a little greasy other than that great experience inside it was super cute. Service was great.

Emma B.

Yelp
Our food was divine, and everything was prepared to perfection. The star of the show for me was the cheese grits (ordered grits and add cheese) and then the biscuits!!! Served with incredible strawberry jam as well. The coffee was wonderful, the environment was so aesthetically pleasing, clean, and inviting! I wish I could have breakfast, lunch, and dinner here every day!
