Sunflower CITY backpacker

We had a really nice stay at Sunflower CITY. The ambience there was very friendly and I love how the staffs communicate with everyone who comes to stay. What I found very interesting was the vibe the hostel gives off! If you’re a backpacker and looking for a warm, cozy and super friendly hostel to stay, The Sunflower CITY is a must on your list. Although the bathroom in our private was a little narrow for us, the facilities were really nice enough to give 9 out of 10 in rating. For your information, they provide free vegetarian pasta on Saturday nights so you should consider it if you’re saving your budget on your trip! *** don’t forget to bring sunflower seeds when you check out, it’s a nicest parting gift I have ever got!!!

Nice spot! The rooms and facilities were clean. The hostel is close to the city and beach. There were a few social events but I was there in the off season so I think Rimini was a bit quiet. I still met nice people and had a great time enjoying Rimini.

We had a great stay here during a quick weekend trip to San Marino and Rimini. Great location with walking distance to the train and bus stations, city center, and beach. The luggage storage, happy hour drink prices, and free pasta dinner on saturdays made the experience even better! The dorm room was clean and comfortable, and the front desk workers were easy to talk to! Definitely will be back!

Great hostel. Classic hostel services, environment. Lively bar. Can walk to beach, train station, historic center. Clean en suite. Minor point: If chatty guest with endless questions is monopolizing clerk at check-in, ask him to step aside while you help everyone else.

It’s a 10-12 minute stroll from the railway station through some leafy streets. Rimini’s attractive historic centre is 12-15 minutes’ walk away, the beach takes 10 minutes max. There is a well-stocked supermarket around the corner for guests making use of Sunflower City’s well-equipped kitchen.||Sitting at the north end of Rimini’s oh-so-long beach, you have the choice between the sunbed/umbrella combos offered by the bagni (beach clubs) or going your own way on the spiaggia libera (public beach). Sunflower City has a discount arrangement with Bagno 9 ‘Mauro’, which we made use of.||The hostel staff are cheerful, helpful and professional. I can say for certain that the team work comfortably in English as well as Italian. Claudia and Christopher - Thanks for all your help.||The rooms – We had a double room with its own ensuite bathroom. Being a hostel, the emphasis is on value and function so the rooms are simple and clean. Sunflower City currently does not feature air conditioning, so the high ceilings and fan are welcome. And you can always sit in the leafy garden or cool bar area.||Being a backpacker place, folks spend more time out of their rooms than in them – both Sunflower City and its big sister along the coast Sunflower Beach provide garden and bar areas for socialising. The Sunflower website makes it clear that having a good time is encouraged – you can even book some extra hours to delay checkout should you need time to get you head together. There are a few house rules to ensure that the good times do not come at the expense of other guests – I think we can all agree on that. This may be one of the reasons that both Sunflowers are popular with female travellers. I’d also suggest that the Sunflowers would be a good choice for teens making their first backpacking journey.||The people of Romagna have a reputation for cheery generosity, and the Sunflower hostels are a great example of this. Yet the Sunflower operation is also determinedly international in outlook…so it’s Italian-yet-global; relaxed-yet-dependable; fun-yet-safe; high standards-yet-good value.||Highly recommended.

They were understanding and really helped me with my reservation date and my room getting changed more than once. Also they were kind enough to not get an extra fee for the changes. ❤️

Real oldschool hostel vibes with a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Excellent value, one of the cheapest hostels I've stayed in whilst in Italy. I found it easy to meet other solo travellers and form a group to explore Rimini's nightlife with thanks to the hostel bar, kitchen and communal areas. The location is superb as the hostel is walkable to the beach, the oldtown and the shuttle bus to visit San Marino. Only downside is no Aircon in the rooms but the fan with the window open made it not really an issue. Absolutely loved this hostel and was sad to leave!
