Sunlit Waters Studio Apartments

Exceptional accommodation for the budget conscious. The view is spectacular and surrounds peaceful and tropical. Dean gave us a warm welcome and our studio apartment was spotlessly clean and fresh. This is older style accommodation but more than adequate and comfortable. A kitchenette enabled us to prepare a meal to eat at the table and chairs outside the room watching the sunset. The bed was comfortable and towels soft and absorbant. This place ticked all the boxes for our two night stay including being able to walk to the shops and restaurants, albeit a steep walk back if you are without a car.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The owner is incredibly friendly and always happy to help with great tips. The room was spotless, and the staff was super kind. Even after checking out, we were allowed to relax by the pool, which we really appreciated. There’s also a large table outside and a nearly fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and fridge. The only downside of our stay was that we couldn’t stay longer! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay.

Agree with most of the reviews about value for money and great views during sunset. However pls note this is not a regular hotel with a room service or other conveniences. Location can be challenging for those with mobility issues as it’s a little walk up the hill. Rooms were small but kept clean, owner is friendly and room has small kitchenette which can be helpful if you like to cook.

Lovrly small hotel. We stayed in a medium studio. It was compact and basic, but for our short stay, using as a base was fine for us. The kitchen, although small, was well equipped and good enough for a few days. We had a few breakies and dinners here. The best bit of this hotel is the stunning view, the balcony looked out onto the gorgeous view where you can enjoy your meal overlooking it and watch the sunset go down, and so the pool overlooks the view as well, which was lovely. The hotel is well situated for exploring airlie and Whitsundays, its up a steep hill, was fine for us although something to bear in mind if you are less mobile. I would recommend, thank you,

We had a great stay at this hotel! The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, giving us great tips for our stay. The room was very clean, and the staff was super nice. Even after checking out, we were allowed to relax by the pool for a while, which we really appreciated. There’s also a washing machine available for a small fee. I can truly recommend this place to everyone!

Great little place with amazing views. Rooms basic but comfortable . Great service . Relaxing in the pool watching the sun set over the harbour is a great way to end the day. It is close to down town though is on top of a hill so requires walking up a short but steep hill. It's worth it though.

We were really pleasantly surprised with our accommodation here. We had a separate bedroom from the kids and had a kitchen. After being on a boat for the week we really appreciated the laundry facilities to get our washing done. There was also a nice pool which overlooked the marina area. We had an outdoor dining table on the balcony out the front of our room which was beautiful overlooking the marina and water. There wasn't much car parking room however you could easily walk into town.

On arrival we were told that our by Expedia confirmed booking had just been canceled and had just been re-let. Despite confirmation from Expedia and all credit card details, we were left without accommodation with three children on Easter Saturday evening. An absolute nightmare! Outrageous staff who sent us to a hotel of his friends 30km away at absolutely inflated prices. We had no choice! Never, Never again!||Expedia also considered the landlord to be solely at fault and ultimately reimbursed us for the hotel difference after much correspondence. The alleged reason was missing credit card details. However, we were able to prove to Expedia by means of emails that these were sent to the hotel by email.||On the day of arrival we spent half a day looking for new accommodation, used a lot of nerves and were ultimately accommodated in much worse accommodation far away at an absolutely overpriced price. I have never experienced anything like this in 53 years!
