"Opened in 1996 by the Loo family, Restaurante Sunly offers a more traditional Cantonese dining experience. The restaurant features a menu that includes dim sum, beef chow fun, steamed garlic prawns with vermicelli, and Peking duck."

Large menu includes options that combine with typical Panamanian unique flavors. The food was delicious and plentiful. Most single dish orders can feed two people. Timely, friendly, and courtious service. Recommend a visit if you are in the Dorado area of Panama 🇵🇦.

This is one of the best places for dim sum if you like spacious and fancy. A remarkable restaurant serving traditional Chinese food in a spacious environment of two floors. Large dining hall and private rooms on the main floor. Event space and sunday dim sum above. This is one of a few places that you will see dim sum being strolled around on push carts, much to the delight of aficionados. It resides in the middle of a busy commercial area and just around the corner to the very first indoor mall. Parking is not for free. The machine at the entrance will dispense a white card when you drive in. Give it to the restaurant staff and they will scan it, effectively canceling the parking fee. A bit of trivia. Their original restaurant under a different name started in the original chinatown. Amazingly, it still stands there to this day. In fact, it is the only original restaurant in avenue B that is still in business after all these decades. A testament to the family's culinary prowess.

This place definitely lives up to its reputation in being one of the best Chinese restaurants in Panama! Food was so fresh and tasty and the service was outstanding! I can't wait to go back!

One the best places in Panama if you're looking for traditional, fresh and tasty Chinese food. I believe that like with any other Chinese restaurant in Panama, coming with someone that speaks the language helps a lot to get into the intricacies of this complex but very rewarding experience of cuisine. But if not, don't be discouraged to ask the waitresses about the ingredients and wide variety of vegetables, meats, and spices contained on your plates. Definitely a must if you're looking for a great taste of asian cuisine.

This review is 25+ years too late. While living there from 1996-1999, we frequented this place on the weekends. I remember the food being as good as the Chinese food we get in Denver, CO. To see they are still open after all these years should be a testament to how good it is!

Surprisingly good dim sum in Panama. Good fixing for Asian food. $3.10 for S. $3.65 for M and 3.95 for

This was our first time to the Sunly. Our waiter spoke English, that was a big help. The menu is huge, like a small book. I picked hot & sour soup, beef & broccoli with pork fried rice. My husband has a hard time looking at a menu because of his bad eye sight, so the waiter helped my husband decide what to pick. He had shrimp with vegetables and white rice. Both meals were good quantities of food. The flavors were typical, nothing outstanding. It's not worth the money.
