No frills, no fuss — just damn good food. The sourdough rye with smoked mackerel, egg, radish, and dill is a knockout. Every element earns its place. Perfectly balanced, quietly brilliant. The vibe? Relaxed but sharp. Friendly front of house, never fake. Service is consistently top-tier without trying too hard. And the baking? Unreasonably good.

Thanks to SFP! What a wonderful place to dine for breakfast (everything was so delicious) and watch the coming and goings of the cute neighborhood. In addition, the owner and entire small Staff was so kind and welcoming to everyone!

This place was bomb!!! It’s been 10 days and I’m still thinking about the food here. Amazing coffee, best quiche ive ever ever had in my life, tasty potato and leek soup and the bestest gooey choc chip cookies. I would highly recommend this place

I absolutely love, love, love Sunny Acre. Mary and her team are amazing, and so is the food. A small, yet diverse menu, where every dish maxes out in terms of flavour and clever combination of ingredients. The portions are not overly large, which is actually great, as you will still have some room for a wee cake afterward. The cakes are among the best, I have eaten in the UK. I hail from the continent and UK treats and puddings are usually much too sweet for my European pallet. But the homemade cakes at Sunny Acre are just perfect. You can actually taste the ingredients and a bit of tartness cutting through the richness of it all is so very welcome. I am also hearing that hot food will be back on offer soon, so that's something exciting to look forward to!

My favourite cafe so far in the south side. I have dreams about the tomato basil soup, and I really appreciate how generous they were with bread for dipping. Like a lot of cafes in the area, you can't book ahead, but we got lucky and got a table right away. Will definitely be back to try more of the food and bakes!

Lovely food, cafe and staff. Only wish it was bigger as often feel rushed because they're so popular/busy and owner hovers or moves you to the window stool set up if you're on your own to free up a table 😭

LOVE this place! Unique brunch options, which tbh I've only dared try one so far but it was an explosion of flavours! And the baked goods are reason alone to come here. Highly recommend.

Best quiche in Scotland. I've had the quiche here maybe a hundred times at this point, over a couple of years, and it has consistently been the best quiche I have ever tasted. And I'm French, so I know good quiche. Also fabulous people and fantastic coffee. I love this place.
