This place is gorgeous but we had a real problem (or two)that meant we won't be going back. It was mid August & particularly cold on the day we arrived at 4 pm. They had wanted to know when we were arriving so this needn't have happened. The room was like an icebox!🥶 Then the heat pump took ages to pump out air with any warmth in it & wasn't able to be turned up. It was colder inside than outside on the first night & only a little better the following night because we had left the pump on. Also, for a rather posh place the hot water temperature was barely adequate with certainly no steam coming off it to help thaw us out! We asked for another blanket but the blankets are not your usual soft cuddly ones that if needed you can wrap yourself up in but are heavy & scratchy. For an elderly couple this was not good enough during the Winter months. Knowing what time we were arriving & given the cold, rainy weather why someone couldn't have thought to turn on the heating mid afternoon soon told us about the uncaring nature of management. As well, the young chap on reception duty was about as cold & unwelcoming as the heating unfortunately. PS It's no good having decor, kitchen essentials etc, etc all matching & a cocktail mixer (with alcohol & snacks to buy on the bench) plus a coffee machine, robes, beach towels etc if it's very cold inside & the shower doesn't have steamy hot water! The matching robes were small sized & not soft & cuddly either by the way as I forced one on but very quickly forced it off again. Do better folks!😪

I loved my stay at this hotel. Very professional staff and great room amenities. I felt very welcome here and nothing was a bother. King bed and a fantastic bath.!! Food from the onsite restaurant was very good - indian flair with room service available which meant I could have restaurant quality in the room. I was a solo traveller so this made me feel very comfortable. I also enjoyed a facial at the spa which also reflected the feel of the hotel. Very relaxed and very professional. Thank you so much for an enjoyable visit. I would highly recommend this hotel to all.

This hotel is lovely, with its modern touch. We had 3 nights here , the room was very comfy & it was quiet at night(not sure if during summer it would be like that ). My gripe was day 2 , on our return from a day out, the bed had been made, but none of our breakfast dishes were removed, & I had neatly stacked everything together before we left. I called the office to ask for clean dishes, which were delivered, but no cutlery or clean mugs, so I had to wash some that night for a cup of tea & then wash cutlery the next morning to use. Day 3 the toilet paper wasn’t restocked & we had to use what was left sparingly. Overall a nice experience but work needs to be done on room care, as the office closes at 5pm

A little hidden gem! We’ve fallen in love with the Sunnymead Hotel. Friendly service, well appointed rooms, cosy and clean. Great location, perfect for exploring the local area. Highly recommend the Santara restaurant and the Indie Day Spa for some pampering… We will definitely be back again! Thanks for your amazing hospitality Sunnymead. ☀️☀️☀️

On the weekend I threw a friends bachelorette at Sunnymead and it was incredible from start to finish. From the staff who worked at the spa to the restaurant every interaction was positive. Caitlin who helped coordinate the event couldn’t have done more for us which meant the actual day of the hens was stress free for me and I was able to enjoy with the girls. The food was amazing, the rooms are adorable and the whole vibe is just incredible. Will absolutely be back!

OK, lets get the house keeping out of the way. This review, my review is totally subjective. It is totally my opinion. I do not give 5 star (halo) rating except in exceptional circumstances nor do I give 1 star reviews again except in exceptional circumstances.||Sunnymead to my mind is good, in fact both my wife and thought it was bloody good. It is an old Motel that has been totally renovated and therefore given a new lease on life.|Bed - king size bed with a mattress topper and very comfortable.||Linen - good quality and comfortable and not scratchy in your skin. To me this is important as I have extensive sensitive scaring.||Restaurant/Bar Very pleasant and there is an incentive for you to eat there and drink there. The only criticism I have is the seats were a little on the hard uncomfortable side. Just me.||Service - No issue there||Food/Alcohol - good.||If you are in the area give it a try. When we were there is was totally booked out.||Cost - Brilliant.||Baz

Embarrassing! They pretend to be a boutique, it’s just a motel with brand new furniture (not all of them). I couldn’t sleep at all as the air con was very loud and annoying. I took a shower and the water was everywhere, I used all the towels for the wet floor. At the phone no one replies and the wall are very thin so I could hear everything from the room next door. Instead to enjoy my birthday, I suffer all night long and even the day after as I was too tired (I didn’t sleep at all) The receptionist didn’t care at all about my point of view. Zero bottles of water in the room. Very disappointing

What a gorgeous Motel, I felt like I was in 1972. So much character and thought put into every detail. We visited for our work kickoff and honestly it was the best. Delicious food, stunning accommodation and lovely hosts. I just wish we were there for longer
