Sunrise Civic Center Theatre and Art Gallery

I visited the theater, it is beautiful, although small it is very well maintained, it has good acoustics, the staff is super friendly the only thing is that since they are doing some renovations it is difficult to understand where to enter the theater anyway I give them 5 stars

I can’t explain how talented the kids in the theater program are. I was astonished once I went to a Heathers show awhile back. There must be incredible teachers there! Also very clean and organized building. For the actual Civic Center in which you play sports, the employees are engaging and professional. The sports there are always fun to play.

Pool was very clean especially the lap pool. The gym is only for sunrise residence. Only you have to prove it. I was dissapointed. The place was amazing.

Such a beautiful infrastructure all around. We used to come here for soccer ceremony and reception of awards etc. The library seems a bit small for sunrise but everything else from inside civic center to the pools, gallery and amenities are exclusive, I am very proud of the town I was raised in, Sunrise. It's one of America's finest civic centers.

Gorgeous theater. Brilliant folks to work with! I loved the dressing room and green room. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Such a professional and lovely experience. Always a pleasure working with Storytellers!

My friend invited me to see this play. It was very nice to visit the Sunrise Civic Center Theater and see the arts. I thought the play Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap was good. Cheers to the performers and I love the fine arts. I give it 3 5 stars.

The event halls are beautiful. Nice upgrade! Definitely you should rent!

I had a fun time seeing everyone dressup for this even. I hope it brings more visitors next year.

I came to watch the performance of Hocus Pocus a drag tribute. it was a good show. The costumes, music, dancing, and make-up were excellent. This was a fun and entertaining show. I was glad I came to watch it. Some people dressed up. It was encouraged. The center was a beautiful building. The entrance was an eye-pleaser. It had a beautiful big fountain. The Lobby had a bar and a place to buy some light snacks like cookies and chips. The lines were incredibly long. They were understaffed. They ran out of water bottles. I was a little bit disappointed but they did have plenty of sodas and coffee instead. I found the lobby to be a little warm. I wish it had more places to sit. The show was running late and so we had to stand for some time. Once inside it was a small but beautiful theater. The chairs were wide, pink, and comfortable lol. The place had plenty of clean bathrooms around. The place was nice and the show was excellent.

The Sunrise Tunes & Trucks is a great event. This month's entertainment was by far superb. The Motowners were in the house. The band exceeded expectations. From the sounds to the vocals, to the overall show, they were great. Even costume changes. The food truck choices were skimpier this month with less than usual. Was hoping to see Taco Negro but they were not present. Happy to see Icestasy again. Sunrise puts on a fabulous night of entertainment and does not disappoint!

Hidden Gem in Sunrise. Nice intimate venue for a fun show! I went for Taiko drums, and had a blast. Heads up no beer or wine there, so if you like having a cocktail before a show maybe hit somewhere first.

Pulling into this complex, the center seems huge- and it kind of is, in that it has many different parts to it (senior center, rec center, etc). The Theatre itself, however, nestled within, is fairly small, which makes for a _very_ intimate viewing experience. This made the show I attended even more interesting, to be so close to the stage and the performers. I do have some constructive criticism: It was difficult to find my row/seat, and the usher didn't attempt to help me at all. The sound quality of the recorded sound was muffled. The stage floor has seen some better days. The outside of the building complex is rife with fountains and thoughtful architecture. The inside of the Theatre is a tad dated. I would definitely attend another event here!

The theater itself was very nice. Great. I am assuming that the people taking tickets and the ushers inside were volunteers. The first person who is checking tickets to let people inside the theater said I should go to the other side because that's where my seat was. When I went to the other side the lady had no clue where my seat was. I went back to the other side and that lady had no idea where my seat was. It's not a big theater. Perhaps a quick review with the volunteers of the seating chart would be helpful.

Joined a baby and me fitness class last week and the instructor Bobby did not show up for class. The two ladies at the front desk walked me upstairs and told me to wait and left me there for half an hour until I went downstairs when they informed me Bobby wasn't going to give the class because she believed bo one was signed up. Super unprofessional and very disappointing as I was really looking forward to it. I received a refund but I still just really want to take the class although I feel I was treated bad.

I came here for the first time today. There was a Cultural Japanese/ anime convention. The convention itself was small but the civic center was very large. I've heard people call it the "taj mahal" of Sunrise. The civic center has a beautiful pool and even a gym.

We had a charity event at this venue. Very nice set up except for the cocktail hour which is in the hallway outside the ballroom.

I came on a Sunday afternoon to the Sunrise Civic Center for a performance of My Brave where people tell their true life inspiring stories of mental illness and how they triumphed despite their mental health set backs. I had never been here before but I was quite impressed. The center was built in 1998 and is actually made up of a theater and art gallery, a grand ballroom with banquet center, an athletic club and an aquatic complex. The theater where the performance was small but intimate. It contained a stage and 300 seats. The seating went higher the farther the seats went back from the stage which gives everyone a good view. There was also mezzanine balcony seating. I thought the theater was very clean and well thought out. The complex the theater is in is undergoing some renovations. It will probably be even nicer when the project is finished and the construction project did not interfere with parking or the show. The residents of Sunrise are fortunate to have such a unique and lovely cultural center.
