Yelp
This was the base for our week-long Montauk adventure, and we couldn't have asked for a more picturesque, ideal location. This cozy bed and breakfast is located right on Old Montauk Highway, which is about a 3-minute drive or 10-minute bike ride into the main heart of town. Being somewhat off the beaten path, we had pristine beaches almost all to ourselves! We spent days on the beach, and maybe saw 15-20 other people spread out across half a mile or so. It almost felt like our private beach - not to mention that Sunrise Guest House is across the street from the beach!
We stayed in Room #1, which had a bedroom, living area, and access to the outside patio; they even chained off our portion of the patio as "private", mostly as the door opened into our room but made us feel VIP! Mick was a perfect host - this is an ideal place where if you want everything taken care of, but minimal contact or questioning. Continental breakfast was ready daily from 8-1030 with English muffins, bagels, yogurt, fruit, pastries, hard-boiled eggs, coffee/tea/juice, and did I mention killer views? There are only 4 rooms on the property, so it still feels cozy and personal. Not to mention killer prices for the area, especially during the summer vacation season.
We are definite Montauk fans, and any time we return, we'll be back to the Sunrise!
