The resort would have been really nice and popular back in 2000 when all the rooms and facilities were quite new. From the photos you can see the resort is half abandoned-ish. There’s no lift in hotel but the staff will help you carry the luggage which made us felt bad as it felt not right for ladies for carrying luggage for the guys. One of the reception had some attitude when we checked in but others were fine. Understand the hotel doesn’t provide tooth brush etc for environment protection but no shampoo, HAND WASH, body wash is another level. Out of all hotels I stayed in Taiwan, this is the only one not providing any of these.

The staff here is not helpful and friendly. The price I paid is not worth for this level of services. The view in the room is great but the room facilities is a bit old. It is Hard to control the shower temperature And the sound insulation is not that good. I can hear children run and scream from time to time. Hope this comment can help u understand more on this hotel .

We reserved afternoon tea for a bridal shower, calling 4 different times to confirm the number and arrangements for 10 persons. Upon arrival, we were told no reservation was made. After that was sorted, individual servings instead of the tower, which we were fine with. But service began an hour after our original reservation time, and wasn't completed until 2 hours later, being served 2 or 3 individual servings, with 30 minutes wait between. I will not recommend the venue for groups.

3.5/5. The view was spectacular but the morning buffet was lacking. Although it is included with the rooms so really not much to expect One really annoying thing was the shower water temperature control wasn't intuitive. Pushing it to one side gave unbearable hot water. Pushing it to the opposite side and waiting for a minute still gave unbearably hot water. Beds were a little bit uncomfortable but overall it is okay. The slippers they gave was also too small and have to assemble yourself.

dilapidated, abandoned, derelict. The beach is still there though 😂

The location is great, as this hotel is located right on a black sand beach. It's a 10-min walk from some family friendly sites in Kaohsiung. ||||The facilities, though, can use much updating. It's a bit too "rustic". Our phone did not work, and the first iron was broken. During our stay, the hotel is renovating several areas, so it looks like at least it's trying to live up to its potential. ||||But of course, the renovation creates lots of noise after 8am. ||||The services were great. The staff was quick to assist with any need.

We were visiting Kaohsiung on a business-related visit to NSYSU - this hotel is right on campus and has excellent views of the sea. The breakfasts are very good with a good selection of food and again great sea views. The hotel is a little isolated but we found that walking through the NSYSU tunnel and down the street for 10-12 blocks takes you the the Kaohsiung metro station, which gets you everywhere in the city....taxis are another way to get around reasonably. The hotel is widely used for weddings on the weekends - they were interesting to see and ended early (at least compared to US evening weddings) so that noise wasn't a problem. There is a black sand beach there as well. The hotel could use a little updating but it is still a good place to stay.

4 star hotel? I really don't see how. You are paying for a decent room with access to a private beach. Previous reviews I have read said the beach was full of trash. Not on our stay, beach is immaculate. Food wise breakfast not so great on the other hand dinner was delicious, I would recommend the Lamb chops. The staff are very nice and helpful, but don't expect them to come to you, if you want something you have to go to them and ask for it. In short if you just want a room and a beach Yes. If you want a hotel and be catered for No.

Yelp
太棒了!意想不到的好!! 景色優美! 師傅的菜又好好吃!! We did an event in the Chinese restaurant of the resort. Not only did the staff support fully, a lot better than a lot of other 4 & 5 star hotels, the food was amazing!! It was such a pleasant surprise!!
