Sunset Lane

This place has AMAZING views being right on the beach. The rooms are nice. The common kitchen and patio area are great. Very walkable to restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Views from the balcony are just stunning, and Sunset Lane is nothing short of a 3 minute walk into the town to enjoy local cuisine and the nearby Laborie beach. ||Frances is a kind host and makes herself available if you need her. Clean communal kitchen offering all the appliances / utensils you may need. Great AC as well. If you’re looking for a chill and cozy getaway that is in the heart of Laborie, you’ve found it!

Loved it so much that we cancelled a room elsewhere for when we return to St.Lucia to stay here instead. The views, the welcome, the balconies and proximity to town (6 min walk). Lovely little beach in a working small town. Hugely friendly, everywhere. Loved it!

We had a fabulous 2 weeks at Sunset Lane. We had a lovely room with a beautiful view of the ocean with fabulous sunsets. Frances is the loveliest person and she and her family go above an beyond to make sure you have a great holiday. There is a large shared terrace and well equipped kitchen area. We met lots of other interesting guests from all over while we were there. If you are a resort or cruise person this might not be the place for you, and you need to be reasonably fit as there are several steps going up to the rooms. However Laborie has a real charm and you get a real feel for how the locals live and the real St Lucia. The people there were all so friendly and Laborie felt very safe. It is probably one of the nicest beaches on the island, sandy, palm trees for shade and very few tourists. The beach is clean and well maintained, with the opportunity to buy freshly caught fish every morning, or sample a freshly cut coconut. We hired a car but it is not strictly necessary as Frances can arrange a driver- Alex who is very reliable and good at navigating some of the roads which can be a bit challenging especially at night time. Sunset Lane was a great find, excellent value and highly recommended.

An amazing view and a good alternative close to the airport. (We arrived late in the day and did not want to drive after dark.) Frances contacted us the day before we arrived to say that she would not be there to meet us but someone else would. The main entrance was not obvious but once we figured that out we had no trouble. (It is a steep walk with your bags to be sure.) We had a small room but enough space for our stuff and it also meant the AC cooled the room down more quickly. She was not able to provide breakfast but we walked the 5 minutes into the village and ate at Mama Tillie's and had traditional salt fish for breakfast. Sunset lane has a sort of upscale youth hostel vibe with the common area for some light cooking, making coffee and hanging out. We were some of the few non-locals in town and found very traditional dining options serving the local community. (Read that as nothing up-scale.) We always felt safe as we walked around, even after dark. If that's your jam you won't be disappointed by the amenities or the view.

Sunset Lane is absolutely beautiful. Wonderful location, rooms are exactly as described. The only issue we had was with communication - we had a hiccup on arrival and I could not get in contact with anyone via the myriad phone numbers. Emailing them worked and we were able to get everything sorted. Highly recommend if you want a chill place to relax in a small town!

I loved my stay here. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and with a great sea view. Sitting on the veranda watching the sunset is just perfect and Frances is an excellent host. It is outside of the main tourist area but for me that added to the charm.

We spent nine days at Sunset Lane and loved it! Our room had two queen beds (perfect for our family of three) and was immaculately clean. We fell asleep with the sound of the waves crashing along the shore and woke up with the roosters. We loved having breakfast on the terrace and watching brown pelicans dive and fish in the bay. Breakfast was not provided, but the kitchenette included a fridge, stove, toaster, and microwave. Frances was very helpful with local recommendations of places to eat and visit. The accommodation's location and convenience make it so special. It is only 15 minutes from the airport, and you can reach any place on the island by car, which was essential for us since we wanted to explore. Parking was available and safe. Highly recommend Sunset Lane!
