Little wait for the weekend lunch, but everything was excellent! We have been here once before and the food was just as delicious. Our waiter, Jacob (?) was the same as last time, great with recommendations and great with ideas. I am a fish/seafood lover, my hubby not so much so he got the burger which he said was one of the best around. I got the special, red fish over mushroom risotto and sautéed squash. Again delicious.

Food is almost always 5 stars, but today’s bacon was undercooked (I had ordered well done crispy). Server noticed it immediately and told me she had ordered more, so she handled it perfectly without me pointing it out. My husband’s eggs were undercooked, but he ate them anyway without complaining. This is still our favorite place to eat and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. The strawberry frosé is always a winner on summer days. Crunchy French toast is fabulous too.

We dine here either for lunch or dinner 2-3 times a month. It is one of the most scenic and peaceful spots on the Eastern Shore. Not only is the atmosphere a 10/10 but the fresh starters and main course dishes are as well. The seasonal drink menu here is my favorite of all seasonal lineups. I do wish desserts were more robust, but after the hefty portions here, there's not much waistline give left for sugar and butter.

We stopped to look at new construction homes in Fairhope and the agent recommended Sunset Pointe within a heart beat. Everything was amazing, staff was friendly and it was the perfect lunch prior to flying home to Arizona. If we end up buying near buy this will be somewhere we will come frequently.

The Kamakazi Chicken was outstanding and the grilled coleslaw was out of this world. Additionally, our server, Travis, was such a kind and entertaining man. I highly recommend stopping her at sunset to hear the ringing of the Bell 🔔.

Sunset Pointe was amazing! Katy took care of my husband and I. I watched her throughout the night working her other tables and she was fabulous. Very attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu as well as the menu options. I not only recommend Sunset Point BUT I commend Katy. ❤️

The food was awesome! Make sure you ask for James. He will take really good care of you and will give great suggestions for dinner. We ate there two days in a row it's so good. Be SURE to order an Old Fashion!

The view is gorgeous from the restaurant, especially at sunset - since this place faces west. Hence the name I suppose. gulf coast bbq shrimp is a must - light, fresh, and that broth - oh man. A little Tabasco is great for me, but not needed. Lastly, service is super attentive and kind - just perfect. Best place I've been to in a while. 5 stars.

Came last year while on vacation and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere so came back again this year while on vacation and not very good My biggest complaint is 3 of us had dishes with shrimp Non of them were deveined I have a real issue with this and means kitchen staff does not know what they are doing. Had bouillabaisse last year was really good this year had tons of thick cut leeks in it and very crunchy undercooked Stars not for food but the waitress she was good

Drinks are great! View is great! Never had any food here that I like Expensive for very mediocre food

One of my favorite places in Fairhope! It's always consistent and delicious. Gorgeous sunsets, good eats, and creative, yummy drinks. My favorite part is getting to see Billy and Jason behind the bar. Always welcoming, always fun- best drinks in town. Specifically Billy makes my favorite margarita. On Saturday, I made a quick trip in for a late afternoon marg. The first one was the usual deliciousness. The second one he made was incredible. I mentioned loving a new version, a spicy strawberry margarita I had tried over at Kingfisher. Well, Billy whipped one up on the fly that was even better! Such a treat. Highly recommend this place if you want a great drink, with exceptional hospitality. Always a good time. ​

Came here after seeing the Triple D episode. I ordered an app of the crab meatballs. These were good and had a nice remoulade sauce. Only 3 came to an order for $19 so that was a bit disappointing but they were good. Then I got the Eastern Shore Bouillabaisse since that's what Guy Fieri had. It was alright but the broth didn't have that much flavor and way too many huge cuts of onions. The shrimp in it was good but could find just as good anywhere else in the area. Overall a bit disappointed considering the overall reviews on Yelp.

The waiter fingered his bum and the dug into the chip container to eat chips. I was APPALLED! No one was wearing gloves back there either

How delightful to sit outside, sip wine, eat good food at Sunset Pointe in Fairhope. The bar menu is EXTENSIVE! But this isn't just a place to drink while you watch the sun set. The food menu offers variety, and when I visit a restaurant, I always look to see if they have good choices for the Kiddos, and here they do. Inside is nice, but the patio gives you the opportunity to feel the breeze and see the marina and bay. And the service outside is the same as indoors. My favorite two items on the menu are snapper throats (when in season) and the ahi tuna; but, there are also salads, burgers, great sandwiches, and good starters and sides. This will be one of your go to places in Fairhope.

Awesome place. Love the food and the views! Our bartender Billy was spectacular and makes the best drinks in the biz. Great recommendations as well. Have him tell you one of his amazing jokes !!!! Definitely will come back soon to sit at the bar for great food and drinks.

After the minor glitch while waiting for a table (got overlooked while watching other 2 tops getting seated who came after us; when we finally said something it was determined that we were simply overlooked and that "it happens sometimes") we did enjoy a mildly warm late lunch on the back deck where we could take in the view while ignoring the pretentiousness at the other tables behind us. The cauliflower appetizer was nice but a little different than the same dish at the owner's other locations. Still very tasty. I also thought my "TB-LT".... how I humorously ordered my seared tuna BLT... was very tasty. Love the atmosphere, ok craft beer selection, and freshly made dishes.

I'm pretty sure I've reviewed this place before but we eat here a lot and I tried something different. The ribeye sandwich was so tender and delicious I'd definitely recommend that. They always have drink specials and the Paloma was a good choice. Our server was on point and very friendly. We love sitting outside and the fans going made it an enjoyable experience eve with the heat. We also had the BBQ shrimp appetizer which is the best ever.

Service was slow. Fish (tilapia?) was dry, flavorless and overcooked. "Fish and Chips" usually means french fries but I got potato chips very greasy. You would think that being right next to the water they could do a better job preparing seafood. Menu items shown on Yelp were not available. One and done.

Service was slow and awful. I was seated in front of the kitchen and I saw everything. The entire staff was playing around on their phones with no gloves on while my food sat there for 10 minutes. I watched my server eat a chip, scratch his butt, and then put chips onto my plate all with an ungloved hand. When I finally got my food it was cold and extremely chewy.

Wish that this was a better experience as the ambiance outside is absolutely beautiful! The food just wasn't good but the wine for $10 a bottle i mean heck just go for wine ! The service was really good but i'd just go for happy hour

Not really! I mean, the view is nice at sunset, but you are ultimately sitting under an industrial covered area with no aesthetic. Service is ok. They try their best, but it's students on a summer job. Food wasn't good at all. The menu is short, and everything we tried was flavorless. The kid's meals were a joke. Expensive, after all, and for no reason. Not a repeat!

Stopped in today for a cocktail and a small bite, happened to be happy hour so we had the kamikaze chicken , it was great ! Our bartender Billy was great too ! Love the La Vida Royale! Will be back

What an amazing meal! Best grouper and shrimp I've had since being in this area! And on top of that, their Bananas Foster Bread Pudding is the BEST bread pudding I have ever eaten! Great service, great food, and a great vibe!

PLEASE READ!!! The atmosphere is very misleading to what goes on behind the scenes in the kitchen. While the tables and floors are clean, the workers aren't. My table was seated directly next to the kitchen which does not have doors so you can see everything happening back there unfortunately. Multiple of my company members and I all witnessed our waiter eat from the large bin in which they distribute chips from, proceed to scratch his bottom, and then grab a handful of the chips to put onto my company's plate. After chatting it up with his friend for about 10 mins, he finally brought out our food which had been sitting there for quite some time. In addition to the unsatisfactory quality of our waiter, the cooks and other staff were playing around on their phones and distracting other workers all without gloves on. The unsanitary conditions are laughably obvious for anyone that happens to glance in the wide open kitchen. I was hoping for better but I was worried of cross contamination as I ate my cold food.

Sunset Pointe is one of my favorite restaurants and bars in Fairhope The view itself of the bay is fantastic. Billy, one of the bartenders is another reason to frequent this establishment. He is always friendly , knows your name and provides great service.

We stopped in for dinner on a Monday night and sat at the bar to eat. Many people go for the sunset views which I'm sure are spectacular but we arrived when it was dark. The restaurant was not very busy. We ordered appetizers of grouper bites, cauliflower with white bbq sauce, Snapper throats and bouillabaisse. The best part of the meal was the snapper throat just wish we had received more than one. The cauliflower was tasty with the bbq sauce but could have been cooked a little longer. It was pretty hard. The grouper bites, while cooked perfectly, tasted a little old. Fresh fish would have made all the difference! The bartender forgot to order the bouillabaisse so pushed the kitchen to rush it. Again, ok but nothing that would make you return for more.

Wow! Having dinner before an overnight Sleep Study in Fairhope Alabama, and I live in Pensacola. Yelped my way here, what a great choice. Coastal atmosphere inspite of the cooler temps. Caroline was very pleasant and attentive. Starting with the Alabama Whiskey Old Fashioned, wetting my whistle while searching the menu. Crab Meat Balls, and BBQ Shrimp were delicious and perfectly complimented the Old Fashioned. BBQ Shrimp were cooked perfect with a Savory less sweet sauce which I enjoyed. A hint of spice but I like more spice. Crab Meat Balls lightly breaded, moist pearls of succulent Crab meat and seasoned just right. I wasn't sure I could eat anything else until I found the Blackened Snapper Throats. I'm a big fan of Hamachi Kama (Grilled Yellowfin Tuna Collar) and had to try the Snapper version. So glad I did. Blackened just right, crispy skin and seasonings made way to beautiful moist white fish. So delicious! Cleansed my palette with the local Fairhope Causeway IPA. Great Find, Great Food, I will be bringing my wife back just for the experience.

Love the food here! There is a nice variety to select from on the menu and the food is always cooked and seasoned well. The staff are friendly and service is efficient. There is outdoor patio seating, which can offer beautiful views of the sunset if you time your dinner right. This is one of my favorite spots to recommend to friends visiting!

Second visit, first review. Great place to watch a sunset, but tonight I ate at the bar because I had an early dinner and it was too hot outside. I sat at the right end of the bar. The bar top is rather wonky, poorly finished with voids throughout. The right side of the bar, behind the bar, is also where the bartenders wash dishes, and throw away trash. I would not recommend sitting in this area. I ordered the red snapper throats and unfortunately they ran out of them earlier that day at lunchtime. I went with the blackened gulf coast shrimp instead, and they were good. They were served with green beans and polenta. I also added a side of the grilled slaw, which was awesome. They have a full bar and a nice selection of local craft drafts. Service was great.

The food was wonderful, well priced, well portioned. The staff was on point Emily our server was very attentive and friendly. The view of the harbor with all the activity on a Sunday is a showstopper, I will be back thanks for a wonderful experience.

This was a great find! A customer of mine suggested it. We arrived around 7:45p and sat outside as the sun was setting. It was an incredible view and very relaxing. We had the Grouper Throat and the BBQ shrimp. They were both delicious. We will def be back!

We sat at the bar for drinks and dinner and the bar staff was very friendly. We also had Grouper Bights before dinner. Good wine selection. Casual and comfortable place. If you are in Fairhope, don't miss this place. Food was exceptional, patio and view is outstanding, service was fast and friendly! It's a winner on every level. Raines was our server- terrific service, attentive and friendly. Seafood lettuce wraps were great, a nice change in the lettuce wrap trend. Their signature dish is not to be missed! The Boullibaise is full of flavor and fish, absolute winner. The crusty bread with pimento spread tops off the dish to perfection. Last, the deconstructed key lime pie is ahhhhhmazing!!! A stop- everything-and get you some pie! Perfect dinner, perfect place in every way. This find made our whole day.

Katie, our server was great. We shared the bbq shrimp which was excellent, bread with it amazing. Broiled shrimp and daily veggies and tuna blt were cooked perfectly. Not to mention bread pudding!

This was my first visit to Sunset Pointe and I throughly enjoyed this restaurant. The staff and my waitress were very nice. My waitress was also very patient when it came to answering my questions about the menu and she gave very good recommendations. The place was empty when I first got there but by the time I left, it was packed. The restaurant is a decent size and it was well lit and very clean. You can also sit outside and see the awesome view of the marina and the boats. I ended up ordering the crab meatballs with the blackened gulf snapper throats. I also ordered a side salad and the house starch, which was orzo. The food was very delicious and fresh. The crab meatballs were full of crab and not alot of breading, which was a plus. Each crab meatball came with its own sauce and omg, I could drink those sauces! Lol! All in all this restaurant is very good! So glad that it was recommended to me! I can't wait to visit again soon!

My husband and I have eaten here many times. The food is always good. The ambiance is wonderful outside, but it was too cold to eat out there tonight so we were a bit disappointed. However, our server, Kattie, was exceptional. She attend to us throughout the evening with such warmth and kindness. She made the whole dining experience special!

Perfect view of the water at, you guessed it, sunset. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a bar area. We enjoyed a dinner with the seared ahi nachos, snapper throats and craft cocktails. Nachos were fantastic. They had an edamame cream on top and the tuna was cooked perfectly. The chip had a great crunch and flavor as well. Snapper throats were a nice blend of buttery flakiness. They are seasonal so not always available, but luckily tonight they were. Cocktails are also seasonal, we had the old fashioned and Through the looking glass. The Through the looking glass tasted like an amazing apple cider. Very good. Old fashioned was also perfect, and quite strong. Definitely pop in early for the views! Highly recommend. One of my favorite spots when I visit.

Our server,Katie, was great. Friendly, available and Informative but no rush or pressure. Food was tasty and carefully presented. Cocktails were delicious and festive. Sunset was beautiful. Highly recommend the Bushwacker as a dessert drink. Sunset Pointe is my go-to for out of town guests.

Fresh, creativity, casual! All important to us! The lettuce wraps are out of this world with grilled shrimp, scallops & calamari with butter leaf lettuce, oh, my! Service was exceptional even with a full house. We returned the next day for lunch - on a wet & windy day - to be greeted by smiles and a another round of goodness! grouper Nites and Fish Wraps!

Had a nice relaxing lunch here while enjoying the scenic view. Had a mojito, perfect, and a seared tuna BLT sandwich. The meal and service were perfect. The atmosphere was so very relaxing. Thanks y'all for the perfect lunch after we did a fun run in Fairhope.

Cute little restaurant at the marina with just average service. Nothing spectacular. Unfortunately I was not crazy about the food the seafood lettuce wraps, or Blen didn't really taste like a lot of flavor and the chicken bites. We're just OK overall they did have a great happy hour so I am thankful that I didn't have to pay much for the food since I wasn't really impressed.

Menu needs to be changed & food offerings need to be sampled by owners/staff in order to improve. It had been a few years since we last visited Sunset Pointe (which btw, were very good past experiences) but were greatly disappointed in the menu offerings & food we received last Sunday evening. My son ordered the kamikaze chicken and barbecue grilled shrimp. Both were . I had the southern fried fish and chips. The small fish planks were very dry and the sweet potato chips were overcooked and have no flavor of sweet potatoes whatsoever. Also, the slaw had a cilantro flavoring that no one at our table who tasted it cared for. My son's food offering (kamikaze chicken and barbecue shrimp) had a high vinegar flavoring, especially the dipping sauce (aïoli). Our server was very nice, but appeared to be overstretched. Very doubtful that we will return to this establishment as it's not worth the drive. On the positive note....the seating outside was very accommodating and had an atmosphere that was welcoming to a family environment.

First time to Sunset Pointe. Love being in the middle of the marina. Cocktail and beer menu very interesting. Lots of choices for everyone. Jodi's Mojito is perfect for the setting. I found the Cool as a Cucumber refreshing but a bit pickle-y? I'd order something else next time. The Crab-Balls were very good and we could see the crabmeat, which is always a good sign. Perfect appetizer for 2-3 people. Lunch was a grouper sandwich and a farm salad with shrimp. It was good. Hope you have a good visit here too.Crab MeatballsGrilled Grouper Sandwich

Awesome ambiance. We ordered the grouper bites, poke tuna nachos, and a grilled fish wrap with slaw. We loved it all. My only suggestion would be to add more seafood items to the menu- maybe some po boys or fried shrimp. I'll be back regardless.

Having read the positive reviews, we believed our one hour drive from Orange Beach would be rewarded. Unfortunately, our dining experience belied our expectations. My wife and I shared the crab benedict (brunch menu). Not only were the eggs so overcooked that they had a hard boiled and not poached consistency, but the Hollandaise sauce could easily have been from a packet or a can (could not taste any citrus and it was overcooked and thick like yogurt - not a sauce at all). The crab cake was just fine, but a bit bland with little seasoning. It seems to me that someone in the kitchen needs a refresher course from culinary school. So very disappointing. I nicely brought the inadequate meal to our server's attention. She seemed to care little. You know, when a restaurant cannot manage to properly poach an egg (in this case two), why would you ever give it a second chance? And, believe me, there was nothing about the "ambience" to come close to making up for the poor food.
