This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed. The owners used the spaces that guests are paying to use for their own personal parties. I stayed from Sunday through Friday & barely slept at all due to the incessant noise. The rooms are directly attached to the entertaining area/ which means late night parties are literally outside your door. Bathrooms are advertised as private but are located outside of the rooms- this means you have to leave your room to use your “private” bathroom & the owners allowed their friends to use my bathroom (as well as other guests’ private bathroom) as they wished. I had zero privacy & the owners were completely too consumed with their own parties to care about anything else. (When things became ridiculous they apologized, only for everything to happen again the next night.) The last night I was there one of the owners got insanely drunk & started mocking my accent & saying incredibly offensive things, this continued even after others asked him to stop. I love traveling & have never experienced such an absolutely horrifically managed disaster of a place. Stay anywhere else. Don’t stay here.

I’ve traveled extensively & have never left a bad review. This is the absolute worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. The owners had parties for their friends in the communal spaces that guests were paying to use. I stayed from Sunday- Friday & was barely able to sleep at all with the constant noise every night. Bathrooms are advertised as private but the owners friends used my bathroom & other guests’ “private” bathrooms as they wished & even left personal belongings inside. One owner apologized to me profusely for the noise & ridiculousness one morning then it all happened again the next night. The other owner got insanely drunk on the last night I stayed & mocked my accent & continued to say extremely offensive things, despite others asking him to stop. The fact that I paid to stay in a place with zero privacy for a space that was monopolized by parties for the owners & their friends is absurd. Not only is there no privacy, there was just a blatant lack of any sort of respect, decency or consideration shown by the owners. I had looked forward this trip for ages & it was a terrible experience which easily could have been avoided if the owners had made even a minimal effort. Very disappointing. Don’t stay here.

I had the most amazing time at the Surfcamp. The hosts Peyo and Babeth are open, kind and will help you with any issue you might have. Traveling solo you will never feel alone. People are great and there's always something to do. I will be back very soon :)

My husband and I decided to explore Guadeloupe for our honeymoon - we heard through the grapevine the surf was good! We decided to split half our time staying at Sunset Surf Camp and the other half in a luxury resort, for the full honeymoon effect. I can honestly say that our time at the surf camp was probably more enjoyable than the resort (we loved the resort too, both experiences were incredible)! From the moment we arrived, Leina, a volunteer at the camp, welcomed us with a complimentary ti punch and we knew we were in for a great adventure. The rooms were nice and clean, the common area was a blast and always so welcoming, meeting new people every day. The owners, Peyo and Babette, are extremely kind-hearted and treated us like family. We chose the surf taxi option which was amazing because Peyo showed us many great surf spots and explained how the breaks work. It definitely helps to have a local show you around, so it was totally worth it. The amazing hospitality this couple and their family showed us was absolutely incredible. Memories made that will last a lifetime.... we absolutely plan to go back and stay at the surf camp!!! Highly recommend to anyone considering to stay there, even if you do not surf.

Peyo, the owner, speaks perfect English and him and his wife are great hosts. The breakfast is perfect with fresh baguettes every morning. The rooms were clean and neat and the entire camp is kept the same. We loved the pool. We played our own music in their new sound system. The camp is conveniently located next to a car rental company, and Peyo told us where the best surf and kite surfing beaches were located. Overall, Peyo was very friendly and helpful. It's a great atmosphere for a great price. I highly recommend it!

We stayed here for two nights in July, which is the off season so we had the entire place nearly to ourselves. It was very relaxing and just what we were hoping for. Peyo and his wife are wonderful hosts and they are very easy going and we enjoyed chatting with them in the evenings. Peyo served us a wonderful breakfast every morning, a perfect start to our day. We were also able to use the bicycles that they had available at the camp. There is a nice open space where you will find couches, books, hammocks and a computer where you can sit and relax. There is lots to do and the beach is only about a 20 minute walk from the camp. We very much enjoyed our stay at the SunSet Surf Camp and would recommend this place even for those who are not there to surf! Thank you Peyo!

I spent a week at Sunset Surf Camp during my stay on Guadeloupe, and had a blast! Peyo and Babette are like family. While most people who visit are obviously French, there were also guests from Spain, Germany, Romania etc. I myself am American, and most people speak English better than I. I came here as a solo traveler, and it was a great way to meet people and have some shared adventures. Very family friendly environment. The young kids were happily splashing in the pool and playing ping pong all week. I went surfing and SUPing In local mangroves with Oliver, who was a fantastic teacher/guide. The accomodations are what would be expected for a hostel, basic but sufficient. Bring earplugs and an eye mask if staying in a shared room. 15 minute walk to the local beach and 25 minute walk to the center of town. I had amazing experiences and met a lot of cool people. What more do you need?

I am currently staying here for the second time. Peyo and Babette the owners are just lovely. They can arrange surf lessons with Oliver every day and Oliver is the best surf teacher i ever had. This place is paradise! The only thing missing would be a projector to watch movies with the other guests at night.
