Google
Cosy jazz place with a vibrant atmosphere! We attended a Chick Corea tribute concert. The trio created a close-knit community with the public and had a special guest who was a lovely saxophone surprise! As they finished, downstairs, the next concert began! What an electric place!

Google
Great jazz venue. But if you go downstairs, avoid the left hand back row, where there is almost no view of the stage. Drink prices are reasonable considering the location and reputation. If you like jazz it's worth taking in a show.

Google
Love this place. Reliably great sets every time I've been there, the bartenders are fun. Great place to drop a pin and wander in when you're in the area.

My favourite jazz bar in Paris. If you’re a jazz lover, the vibe you’re looking for is here. Sunday and Monday are jam nights and you’ll here plenty of talented musicians there. The concert usually starts at 19:30 so be sure to arrive a bit in advance to get a good seat. Also, the entrance is free, but you have to pay a little fee (5 euros) on your first drink.

Google
World class jazz, very friendy girl at the cashier, room was very crowded not too cozy to sit. But it was saturday.

Went to see a little jazz. The staff served us happy hour drinks immediately before we were due to go in for our performance then told us we weren't allowed in with happy hour drinks! Performance was ok.

Google
Great music but they definitely sold too many tickets. They sold us tickets for 75 euro (25 each) after the room was obviously already packed, and immediately placed us in the very last row next to the entrance where we could not see absolutely anything, and had to watch on tv above the bar. We tried to be good sports, but left after 30 minutes because we could not appreciate the experience. It was our teenage daughter’s first time in Paris and first time experiencing live jazz and it was not what we had hoped for her. They should have told us it was full before selling us the tickets. Very disappointing. Felt taken advantage of.

Google
beer is double priced inside and not allowed inside if you started drinking at their place outside, after a overpriced touristic entrance fee for a %90 trash programming. amateur club running for this 'wooow paris jazz historical place' pff. edit: sound is awful at the back, no bass, no cymbals, no piano. at least god bless I was on the guest list

Yelp
Great little jazz club in the Les Halles neighborhood of Paris, on the Rue de Lombards, offering high-quality jazz performers from France, W. Europe and the U.S. 7 nights per week. If you're a jazz aficionado, it's unlikely you'll be disappointed whomever you hear at this Paris jazz classic.

Yelp
There's a reason this bi-level jazz club ranks among the most sought after in Paris. Doors down from the acclaimed (and packed) Duc des Lombards, Sunset/Sunside offers an intimate space to take in local acts for a good price. The larger 'Sunside' space is in the ground floor, while 'Sunset' is down a flight of stairs. I nabbed tickets to see a local singer (Isabelle Seleskovitch) and quintet. The cozy confines made for a warm performance. Literally: being subterranean and lacking fans or other cooling, it can get very hot down there! Drink prices are average for the area.

Yelp
This is one of the live band spots all on the same street. They have different artist playing any given night so check before you go in. If you dont think you will like the musician, walk a few meters to the next place and find something that suits your taste. There is a cover (20-25 euro) and they sell drinks and snacks. Get there 30-45 min before the performance if you want to sit right in front of the stage. Its a small room with a bunch if chairs and the stage. I dont mind it being intimate, but those wooden chairs are uncomfortable! At least put a cushion on them or something.

Yelp
AWFUL EXPERIENCE. Went to a tribute for Charles Mingus. An hour into the show, the band had only played three songs while some clown was reading essays about jazz that lasted over eight minutes each. Was refused our money back because, apparently, that was the tribute: no music and a lecture. If I wanted a lecture, I'd go to the university, not to a jazz club. Also, the seating was VERY close - much closer than any jazz club I've ever been to. Will never go back.

Yelp
Great club for high quality jazz. See a show downstairs. The neighborhood is full of bars and clubs catering to really young locals, but this club is a bit more diverse than most - locals, foreign travelers, young and old. It's a chill place with fabulous music.

Yelp
Loved this place!!! Great music, great ambiance, nice staff, reasonable price. We've been to a number of Jazz Clubs in Paris and Sunset/Sunside ranks well with any of them. Enjoy!

Yelp
Came to this club not knowing what to expect. There was live jazz downstairs and rock and roll upstairs. Great acoustics, wonderful staff I felt right at home. I went back twice to hear different musicians. The rock and roll house band had the entire crowd grooving and dancing!

Yelp
I don't even want to think about how long it had been since I'd stepped foot in a jazz club in Paris, but I was definitely young, it was definitely New Year's Eve, and I definitely thought it was the coolest damn thing to do to "connect" with the hip, moody, artsy scene in Paris. But I never got into that scene, and quickly found other sources to fulfill my Parisian-in-the-making education. But there really is something uniquely special about heading into a legendary jazz club, cosying up in a lounge-y space and listening to great live musicians grove and croon to old standards. Sunset is great in that it has a really eclectic line-up of talented acts. I heard a fab Jazz Quartet play for a few hours. At 20E to enter, you definitely expect the standards to be high, I was not disappointed for one second. Excited to come back again for some more jazzyness, especially the Sunday Jazz & Gouter performances for kids and parents alike.

Yelp
Great jazz place very small and intimate. Listened to a great band and for 15 euros entry totally worth it.

Yelp
I love this place. So far its never been so crowed that I could not get in so there's probably a few more seats tonight if you want to go. There can be two shows at one time, one upstairs and one down stairs so pick carefully. One thing about this place that is really great is that there are no bad seats. Seating can be a bit tight, but everyone can see without having to look through a pillar like many places in Paris. In general, I find that the music here is what I would label sophisticated jazz or cool school for a reasonable price. Mostly instrumental jazz standards with occasional vocalists. I came here one night when Duc Lombards was full and I now come here first.

Yelp
I had the good fortune to attend a (free!) jazz manouche session here during Nuit Blanche. Definitely an unforgettable experience- the acoustics are amazing, the atmosphere electric, and while the temperature (quite literally) rises as the place- located in a basement- fills up (and fill up it does), I would have been happy to sweat it out all night. My companions, however, were not so tolerant. Guess I'll just have to go back!

Yelp
Just saw Melanie Dahan. Great jazz singer with an awesome trio backing her in one of the worst venues I've experienced. You're crammed in an over heated room on an uncomfortable chair with one poor waitress trying to service the entire crowd. I'd definitely see the singer again but counsel you to avoid the club.
