Sunstar Hotel Saas-Fee

Really great hotel. Large, nicely decorated room and very quiet. Perfect location in the centre of town. All the staff I spoke to were very helpful. I needed to leave early the next day to climb the Allalinhorn and they made up a breakfast box for me. I'd definitely stay again.

As others have described the hotel is beautiful and clean and must be one of the best is Saas fee. Breakfast was excellent fresh and staff was sensational, friendly and beyond helpful. Although all this is great what stood out the most for me as a guest and will ensure my return is the following. I made a terrible mistake and double booked the room through 2 websites. No mistake of the hotel. Although my mistake management and staff were more than accommodating and helpful in resolving my issue. Customer service like this does not go unforgotten and I can’t say how much myself and my son appreciate your hospitality.

We just arrived here last evening, Sunstar boutique hotel is a heritage building since 1870's. Maintained very well! The location is lovely & well centered. The hotel internally is cozy and beautiful. Ms.Britta at the reception & the overall staff is very kind and forthcoming to help us in any which way. We are staying here for 4 nights in Room -16 & to express our delight- let me inform you readers- our room is super warm, welcoming with a huge living room & we have a Balcomy with street view, there is an impeccable bathroom with a bathtub & our personal bedroom is super comfortable. The staff at breakfast is polite n very friendly. We are very sure to visit in summers with family n friends too.. cheers to the management! Thank you.

The food was incredible. Almost a 4 course dinner every night. Lots of options to chose from on the menu even different diets (vegan, vegetarian). I really enjoyed the stay, the staff and the food. Going to miss Saas fee!

This hotel, also known as the Beau Site, is charming and conveniently located in the center of town a few hundred meters from the bus terminal and the town parking (cars are not allowed in Saas-Fee). An electric shuttle is available to and from the hotel. Our room was airy, spacious, and simply but nicely decorated; with two balconies overlooking the main street; both with spectacular views of several of the surrounding 4000 meter peaks. The staff was gracious and helpful. The breakfast buffet provided a hearty and healthy start to the day. The spa was a wonderful way to relax after a day of hiking and exploring (we stayed for two summer weeks). Our hotel stay was accompanied by a pass allowing us to take the Postauto and almost all lifts in the area. Saas-Fee is a breathtaking nature lovers paradise. We will be returning to Saas-Fee and the Sunstar Hotel.

Great place to stay! Was there couple of days during Christmas. Family room is spacious (connecting 2 rooms). Clean as per Switzerland standard with great hosting personnels. Pick up & drop off services (ca. 5mins) to main SaaS Fee Station (Bus)

This hotel is almost a 4 star. Good location, clean, friendly staff, comfortable bedroom, excellent small pool and spa. On the downside no tea or coffee making facilities available in bedroom. The quality of the food is mediocre and service is slow..

Today at ~1pm we ordered from the take away menu as dining in is not possible. The receptionist was hesitant and uninterested in taking our order, instead asking us to order online, which was not possible. She eventually agreed to take our order after showing her that online order is not available. I now regret this as the meal advertised as “lentils and basmati rice” became an inedible mess described as “cardamom (with some lentils) and (not) basmati rice”. Very disappointed and let down by this level of service as we are regular patrons of Sunstar.

Currently THE hotel in Saas fee. Great personal service, nice rooms and beds and breakfast is just great. It is generally an old style hotel but nicely renovated e.g. with modern bath rooms and a wellness zone which includes even a quite big swimming pool.. The hotel has its own two restaurants: 'La Ferme' and 'Fee Chäler' for rather traditional food.
