Love this place! We were visiting the area and looking for a quick breakfast before our hike. Sunup was perfect—delicious pastries, excellent service, and a casual and friendly atmosphere.

Google
Adorable little bakery. Such a cute charm to it. Cookies all tasted so good. Snickerdoodle was amazing. Very fresh tasting. My 8 year old said it’s the best chocolate chip cookie in the world.

We stopped here on our way out of town before a long drive home. We ended up having the best tasting biscuit, bacon, egg, cheddar cheese with butter Breakfast sandwich. We also got a smoked salmon with cream cheese on everything bagel with other toppings. Everything was FRESH vegetables fresh meat/fish. You can tell this place cares about providing really good tasting food. Your taste buds will be dancing either on your way to the slopes or on your way home. So happy we stopped.

This is a cozy little place with super nice staff! The coffee is great, and the food is decent. They've got sandwiches and bagels that are good for a quick start on your day. But what you really want to try are their muffins. We had the blueberry muffin and every piece of it was pure bliss!

Google
Delicious breakfast sandwiches. Everything was very fresh. I’ve never had a breakfast sandwich with pesto on it and it was a delight. We also tried some sort of berry danish, which was crusty and not overly sweet and almost immediately devoured.

Just went to the bakery for the first time I a fee years. Food took forever to get, which is typical, but the new issue was with my food, which has never happened before. My first half was fine, nothing to write home about. More tomato than smoked salmon, and the pieces of tomato were thicker than the salmon too 😒 The second half!!! Had a peice of salmon so small it didn't even cover a whole fork. All tomato. I got goat cheese added to the sam, there was just as much goat cheese as salmon. Aka basically none. So I got a half a sandwich that was edible, and a half that is bread, bacon, and soggy commodity tomato. It is supposed to be the smoked salmon sandwich, for reference. So disappointing bc it's a pretty expensive place, and a sandwich should be easily executable, esp if that's your whole menu. ...pic quality abysmal, you can see the only salmon which I had to dig out of some spinach, pile of tomatoes in the back, and not really any goat cheese to be found. Guess I'm having s bacon sandwich for bfast today!

Google
Travellers, this is a fine bakery with delicious baked goods. The person behind the counter told me all the baked goods were made from their recipes in house and it tastes like it was in an amazing way. I could not believe how wonderful the cookies were. And their famous sticky buns are famous for a reason. They are sticky and delicious. Everything was better than I expected it to be. The snickerdoodles were fantastic but the lemon crack cookie lived up to their name. You can’t eat just one. Service was wonderful and helpful. It is a small cafe too so folks were eating breakfast which features their handmade bagels. It is a small but select group of desserts. Check it out. We recommend. TLDR great bakery. Delicious.

Google
The cutesy little bakery with delectable morning pastries. The chorizo and cheddar breakfast sandwich was amazing! They have very beautifully decorated cakes and great coffee. Not too much space to sit inside but it works in the time of COVID. Second year here and the food has remained just as tasty as I remember it. Bonus: there's a lending library out front!

Yelp
I just want to transport this cute little bakery to Long Island. This family-owned bakery we frequented on our trip up to VT during the late summer. We tried lots while here - the maple latte, regular latte, bagel, croissant, oatmeal. Everything was delish and customer service was on-point.

Kerry B.

Yelp
Terrible. We waited in a long line and when we got to the front to order the short old lady at the front was incredibly nasty and was yelling at everyone. We paid about $15 for an egg sandwich that was supposed to have cheese and there was no cheese. I didn't even eat my sandwich because it wasn't what I ordered. Complete waste of time and money.

Heather K.

Yelp
Very friendly & welcoming staff - cute little shop with loads of delicious, homemade baked goods. Our lattes were perfect! A great place to stop before a day of skiing.

J R.

Yelp
Horribly tiny servings. Got the chorizo sandwich and they probably only gave me 1 ounce of the chorizo. Total ripoff. $11.39 for a sandwich that's actually going to leave me hungrier than prior eating. I'm still starving. Screw this place

Kelly H.

Yelp
Definitely get the bacon egg and cheese on a croissant!! Ask them to add pesto for an extra $1 - if you regret it, I'll literally send you $1 Their croissant is house-made and so are their pastries - I only tried their donut and oatmeal raisin cookies but I can guarantee all their other pastries are bangin' just from how good the ones I tried were! I know the other reviews say the service is bad but today I had some extremely pleasant people help me and there are cute chairs to sit on outside to enjoy your delicious breakfast, which was a plus!!

Josh K.

Yelp
Service with a scowl. Coffee was room temperature. No napkins. No bathroom. Staff were blatantly nasty and disrespectful. Despite the limited breakfast options nearby, we won't be coming back.

Lynn M.

Yelp
Delicious sandwiches (turkey gobbler, chicken salad wrap) and latte. One of our favorites!

Lesly R.

Yelp
This is my first time up in Vermont and it was a great experience. We came to Sunup bakery, It's a cute little shop where we met Marg, a lovely woman and her service was incredible. We ordered some breakfast sandwiches and pastries 10/10! Can't wait to come back!

J P.

Yelp
The salmon bagel rocks. It's just a cool little joint. I stop whenever I'm in town. Their coffee is pretty good too.

Lucy M.

Yelp
Best place in Killington for breakfast sandwiches!! Yummy!! They use quality products/produce from the bagels to the bacon, cheese, all good stuff! $7 for a breakfast sandwich is a great deal - served on a bagel, croissant or English muffin. Latte and coffee was great! Blueberry scones and muffins were delicious and loved the additional sugar sprinkled on top - makes all the difference! It gets very busy, but worth the small wait!! - it would be great if they had additional drinks for purchase- like orange juice, apple juice... we didn't see anything other than kombucha drinks in the fridge. - Also, the place is tiny inside so it is grab and go- nowhere to sit except a few chairs outside the front door. It would be great if they were able to add some tables and chairs in the car park area with a gazebo and heat lamp or something, as I would love to be able to sit and enjoy the coffee and food there instead of sitting in the car etc... Don't miss out! Get your tasty breakfast here :)

Brittany P.

Yelp
great prices compared to other spots on the mountain. the sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel was delicious! staff was nice. service was quick

Julia T.

Yelp
Love this tiny bakery for stocking up on breakfast or grabbing a quick lunch on the way to or from the mountain. Their breakfast sandwiches are freshly made and while I've never eaten lunch here, their lunch menu (Vermont Cubano, Smoked Salmon BLT, Veggie Burger, Rosemary Chicken Sandwich, etc.) loons amazing. They have a tiny lending library out front if you're looking to leave a book/take a book and the service is always excellent. Great coffee options too!

Alexa F.

Yelp
Loved everything about this little shop - and I do say little - seating is limited and I can see how it could easily become crowded in here during peak busy hours. They have quite the selection of sandwiches & variety of coffees, homemade pastries/sweets. The interior was very cozy and the three women working there were hustling. We ordered a breakfast sandwich, croissant, several pastries, latte & espresso with maple flavoring - all of which were delicious. Also love the farm to table vibe, and that this shop also carries ingredients from other Vermont businesses (cheese, creamery products etc.). Added bonus was the take a book leave a book little free library. Wish more places like this existed, well done!

Holly N.

Yelp
This little bakery was pretty cute! It's really small though so with covid they only allowed a limited amount of people in there and you may have to wait in your car for your order (unless they only did that to us because we were Asian..) Anyways, I got the salmon breakfast sandwich and it was bad! I got mine on an everything bagel. I will give it a 3/5 because my bagel was really hard it and hurt the roof of my mouth. Also because I didn't taste but of "everything". I may have high standards because I've tasted an everything bagel before and you can taste EVERYTHING ie garlic, poppy seeds, sesame. I felt like this was the most flavorless everything bagel. Idk if it was because it was too hard or what. The inside of the sandwhich was good but not the best I've had. My BF got the chorizo sandwhich and I liked it more than mine. I didn't take a picture but the egg was cooked perfectly. I'd go back to eat this. My friends also had said good things about the coffee so I would like to go back and try that!

Katherine M.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much from the road but it's a delicious bakery. They have a lot of options to try from. Their coffee is also delicious. I got an Egg and Cheese on their homemade croissant with a Vermont maple latte. Both were delicious. They also have nondairy options for their coffee! Definitely worth stopping by

Deena J.

Yelp
Very delicious breakfast sandwiches with unique flavors. All meat & cheeses are local. Although the prices are a bit more expensive (granted we are in a resort town), the sandwiches and beverages are worth 95% of your pennies.

Sarah J.

Yelp
Friendly and very an accommodative to GF requests. Calling ahead is key on busy days.

Michael B.

Yelp
This place was delicious, great combinations in their breakfast sandwiches, and sticky buns that changed my son's world.

Nalin T.

Yelp
Today we were looking for a quick bite to eat and some coffee. This small bakery was adorable and had a lot of choices for food! The coffee bar is easy access and you can self serve before you pay. We ordered the basic sausage, egg, and cheese sandwiches. You are able to choose the type of bread you want (English muffins, bagels, bread, etc.). It came out hot and it was delicious! I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a quick bite. The place is very small with only enough room for maybe 8 people to sit. But it has an adorable look to it!

Reza A.

Yelp
Great little cafe on the way to the slopes. Definitely recommend ordering ahead on the weekends as the line was out the door to order. The staff did great in moving the line quickly. We got coffee, bacon egg and cheese on a bagel and sausage egg and cheese on a croissant. Everything was amazing. Definitely recommend for a quick stop to start your day on the mountain.

Yelp
Updated review since I was there this afternoon. So the espresso bread pudding has grown on me. It has actually become a stop I have to make every time we go up to Killington. We were late getting in today and since it was close to lunch, I decided to get sandwiches from here when I stopped for my muffins. I checked out the menu online and called to order as their site suggests. You could tell that the person I spoke to was not happy having to take a phone order. I ordered 3 sandwiches. After I ordered 1 and added another you could hear the tone in her voice and then the 3rd sandwich really pushed it! I must have hit her limit. Then when I went in, I was seeking the bread pudding muffins, of course! There was 1 in the day old basked but that was it and I asked if there were more. The woman helping me (50ish, short, grey bob) said they were cooling from being baked. I asked if it was possible to still get some. She clearly didn't want to do this (there was. I line or anyone waiting behind me). She begrudgingly walked away & went back and got one. I knew this was going to make her really upset but she walked away without me finishing speaking or I would have said that I was looking for 6 total. This was followed by some combo of sighing, looks, noises, verbalizing her irritation to her co-workers. I actually responded to that by saying it should be a good thing as it's a testament to how good they are that I want a bunch! My son had the gobbler as a wrap and said it was good. Husband had turkey and brie on the oat wheat and I had the pork tenderloin sandwich on the Italian roll. Mine was good too. Though nothing I'm looking to get the ingredients and duplicate at home, as I'm known to do, if I love a sandwich from somewhere. My main reason for the update was the service. I know prior reviews mention this. The man that works there has been friendly when I've interacted with him but everyone else looks like they hate their jobs. Which is too bad, if that's the case as they're dealing with the customers all day. We've tried other muffins, brownies, etc...and nothing that we've circled back on but those espresso bread pudding muffins - YUM! I like the muffins, so I just go in and don't let their rude, less than friendly behavior deter me. Especially since I anticipate it. If you are big on the way you're treated, this may not be your stop on the mtn road.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot for takeout breakfast sandwich and baked goods. Great selection of coffee and souvenirs like granola and syrup

Maria G.

Yelp
Fabulous place. Good food all around. Coffee is ok. Credit card wasn't working when we were there so bring cash.

Todd W.

Yelp
Best chocolate croissant I've ever eaten and everything else was delicious as well. Nice Mountain View's.

Christen M.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the service was super friendly. We also purchased cheese from the fridge, pricey but so delicious! I had the maple latte and purchased another one before I left because of how much I loved it.

Erica D.

Yelp
Such an amazing place. We ended up going both mornings we were in Killington . Their bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a bagel was absolutely AMAZING. Had it 2 days in a row! Their chocolate raspberry latte was yummy as were their cookies. Definitely would go back next time we are in the area.

Anne R.

Yelp
We had high hopes for this little gem, especially after reading reviews. On our way to go hiking, we stopped for coffee and breakfast. The lady who helped was incredibly friendly and sweet, unfortunately I watched as she cashed everyone out and grabbed bagels with her hands without washing them despite handling money and credit cards. My poor husband desperately needed coffee and because they source local ingredients and artisanal coffee, we were surprised at how mediocre everything was, as much as I wanted to love it, it was not worth the time or money. I hope that they are successful since they seem incredibly nice, but the hygiene should have been my first indicator that we were going to be disappointed.

Kate Z.

Yelp
The sweet potato bisque was the best soup I think I've ever had! The bread that went along with it was also very good. I definitely would come back

Gerald N.

Yelp
Average nice bakery on the Killington access road. Came on a weekday and there was no line. It is a tiny place so I could see this shop getting filled up very quickly on the weekend. 1. Cider donut - 3/5. Sweet but dry and flakey. Was not warm and there was no way to warm it up. 2. Tuna sandwich - 3/5. Average with less than expected tuna on the sandwich. Overall, I'll give this place another try and recommend it over the food at the ski resort if you want to take a break.

ji c.

Yelp
Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing. We got bacon egg and cheese and sausage egg and cheese and they're both delicious. I'm from NY and we have a lot of delis but, hands down, sunup breakfast sandwiches are way better. And it's very close to Killington Mt. :)

P H.

Yelp
Cute bakery with friendly staff. Visited here during my last ski trip to Killington. The valley has a sweet vibe with ID breakfast foods (sweets, oatmeal, breakfast sandwiches). The coffee was good too. I ordered a latte which was to sweet for me which I didn't like but I also don't like my coffee sweet. I should have asked for less syrup. I look forward to returning during our t next visit to Killington!

Beth B.

Yelp
Staff is super friendly. The breakfast sandwich on a bagel was very tasty. The espresso bread pudding was to die for.

Bonnie S.

Yelp
Such a cute bakery centrally located in killington. I had the most Delicious pecan tart. It's a must stop on the way up the mountain.

Cindy H.

Yelp
Delicious made to order breakfast sandwiches and sandwiches. Their baked goods are to die for! I default recommend stoping in for coffee and a bite to go before hitting the slopes!

Michael H.

Yelp
In from NYC for skiing and bought a birthday cake for my 8 year old son. He repeatedly said, "this is the best cake I've ever had!" Without exaggeration, the cake was phenomenal. I had 3 slices. Make sure to order a cake 1-2 days in advance!

Janelle V.

Yelp
Excellent, speedy service. Really quaint shop with tons of freshly baked goodies. I ordered a blueberry scone, dirty chai tea and their bacon and egg sandwich on a roll. It did not disappoint! There are a few stools inside to sit on while you wait for your food to be prepped, and a few Adirondack chairs outside- but there is no space for eating indoors. This is more of a grab and go type of place. I loved it and will definitely be back!!

Betsy A.

Yelp
What a great place went yesterday and had a sesame bagel w lox and cream cheese tomato red onion and micro greens. Just Delicious. 2 golden retrievers were gladly greeting patrons as that sat w their owners on the deck

Tom M.

Yelp
Awesome awesome awesome. Fresh local incredients for a top knot has breakfast. There are only about six chairs in the place and it gets crowded but totally worth it. Had the turnover blueberry muffins and eggs sandwiches. All near the best of the best. Try it you won't be disappointed.

Matthew C.

Yelp
Everything in here looked so good. I had a bacon, egg, & cheese. Kind of bummed no American cheese just cheddar (of course cause we're in Vermont) but still was good. Only giving it 4 stars cause there was only a couple people there and it took little over 15min to get my sandwich.

Jennel N.

Yelp
Thank goodness they have this in town! It's a much needed and adorable coffee shop!! The bakery items are not only gorgeous but tasty! The breakfast sandwiches are great! A must! My only complaint is the staff was not overly warm. Hurried you and were slightly rude. Maybe it was just a bad day. It won't stop me from going back! Great coffee and food!

Michelle M.

Yelp
What a great place to grab a delicious breakfast before starting your day. We all had the special. Biscuit with maple butter, bacon, egg, and cheese. Heaven! I also enjoyed a maple latte but would've like more maple flavor.

Hillary W.

Yelp
We got breakfast and coffee here 3 out of the 4 days that we stayed in Killington in July and wish we hadn't gone someplace else that one day. The highlights for us were the sticky buns, the breakfast sandwich and the cream cheese. I splurged on an iced maple latte after balking at the price the first few trips and it was worth every penny of the $6 . The bagels weren't the chewy New York bagels that we like the best, but they were damn good for VT bagels and I would take any opportunity I could to eat that Green Mountain cream cheese. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even with my 8 year old who couldn't decide and kept changing his mind. The staff all wore masks, there were multiple bottles of sanitizer spread throughout the small space and people were really respectful of maintaining distance. I don't when we will be back in Killington but we will definitely be visiting Sunup when we are.

David M.

Yelp
Salmon breakfast bagel straight slap!!! Every morning I come here to get a salmon breakfast bagel in a couple app or all cider donuts before I hit the slopes it is a great way to start my morning and always taste delicious. The employees are nice and while the morning it is a little crowded inside and you might have to wait outside it's always worth the wait and calling ahead makes it much easier!

Vivian L.

Yelp
Visited at around 9:00 and there was a ton of parking space. The building is very cute and small. Not a lot of sitting space and more of a grab and go place. I ordered a white hot chocolate, maple bar, snickerdoodle, chocolate chip cookie, and oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. The total was a little less than $20 and service was pretty quick. The white hot chocolate was a big disappointment since it just tasted like hot milk and there was barely any taste of white chocolate. If no one had told me it was white hot chocolate, I would have thought it was just milk. I loved the cookies and the maple bar. The cookies were very large and I would buy them again! The maple bar was also good, but too sweet for me to eat in one sitting without a drink. I would probably come again, but I would probably only get the cookies. Overall, it is a cute local bakery and I would recommend the cookies. P.S be sure to check out the day old basket to the left of register when u order!

Jamel O.

Yelp
Espresso Bread Pudding Muffin I left a lot of space. I was going to make that my review. It stands on its own. Sunup is near the mountain (Killington). It is a great place to stop and grab breakfast to start a long day. Coffee, tea (in a fill up brewing pouch) or a sandwich (breakfast and lunch sandwiches were tasty) are all excellent. But... Espresso Bread Pudding Muffin

Brian G.

Yelp
Great food, but the woman behind the counter made it seem as though she were Queen Elizabeth and could barely stomach serving us hoi polloi. Perhaps if the establishment were to find some actual helpful help staff they would get higher ratings.

Avelina C.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went here twice. I love it. 10/10 recommend the bacon egg and cheese on a croissant.

Davey T.

Yelp
WLove this little place - great coffee and egg sandwiches. Opens early for working folks. FYI -No bathroom

Joseph C.

Yelp
A nice bakery on the road up to Killington. They sell out quickly if you do not go early. The bagels and breakfast sandwiches are good but expensive. Do stop tho for the blueberry scones, some of the best I have ever tasted. I am sorry I only stopped here on my last morning in town as I would definitely have paid a return visit.
