Yelp
I hate giving bad reviews, but I think I owe it to the Yelp world to warn about my experience.
I had the room right next to the lobby, and it sounded like they were moving large furniture intermittently from about 4:00 AM until about 5:30 AM, including a lot of loud banging. When i finally cried uncle and called to ask them if they could kindly stop, and that I had been awake for the past hour and a half because of it, I was given a very terse and unsympathetic, "Sorry, sir, but I have to set up for breakfast, which starts in a half hour."
This had to be a lie for a few reasons. There was nothing heavy used for breakfast, except perhaps the waffle maker, which was already in place. The continental breakfast consisted of I think 4 choices, including cereal, waffles, one remaining tub of yogurt, and... well, I can't even remember what the fourth unremarkable item was now.
Although breakfast was very weak, even for a continental breakfast, this is not my main lamentation. I was very, very upset about the loss of sleep from the banging before an important meeting with would-be clients, with whom I was meeting for the first time that day.
I got the overall sense that the management just didn't care about me as a customer, which appears to also be reflected in the other reviews that I'm not too surprised to be seeing now. I honestly wasn't expecting a 5-star hotel experience (I didn't pay for one), but this sort of customer treatment is unforgivable. I can even forgive other hotel faults at other places if I'm treated as a valued customer by the management, but just can't deal with indifferent or rude treatment.
