I stayed here for a week. Hotel looks run down from the inside. The rooms were not cleaned properly visible signs of the last guest. TV had no remote, microwave was from the 80s, fridge was dirty. Before laying in the bed I checked the sheets good thing I did. What I found isn't for anyone with a week stomach. Stains all over the top blanket has some nasty spot with what look like dog hair on it. Lifted the mattress just to check it out looked like a murder scene. I ask for new sheets the guy came to the door handing me new sheets they were off white looking so I know they were not the cleanest. At that point I couldn't trust any thing they gave me so I just went to Walmart to buy a comforter set for $40. Such a waste just so I could sleep comfortable. The breakfast wasn't much. Overall you guys can do better Super 8.

Thankful to have found Super 8 when arriving in Sudbury on Friday with no reservations. The front desk agent who checked me in was fantastic. He was real helpful with telling me about the area attractions. My room was spacious and comfy, with a large king bed. Free breakfast is served in the lobby from six to nine in the morning with a simple menu of breads, yogurt, cereal, fruit, coffee tea, and juice. There are a lot of businesses in the vicinity, everything from brasseries to supermarkets, to drug stores, and restaurants. Minutes from downtown too. Extremely satisfied with my two night stay here at Super 8, great location, cozy rooms, and friendly staff.

This was probably the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel. It just looked gross. The toilet was so close to the wall it was kissing it. Bed bug poop on the mattress. Don’t even get me started on the pillows, it’s like they gave us 3 tiny pillow cases filled with dryer lint. I’m seriously about to go to the emergency for a cervical collar. The dude at the front was pretty chill. Room was wicked overpriced but I needed a place to crash on my 1500km hour road trip. I’d rather have slept in a Walmart parking lot. 0/5 Awful. Avoid if possible.

This was part of a long drive we were doing - we checked in super late 1:30am - he gave us a huge room with double queens and a sitting area - room had tons of character. We went into the bathroom and the tub had water in it - it wasn't draining at all - no other available queen rooms, so he gave us a key for the room next door to use the shower. front desk person was AMAZING! he offered to carry my bags up the stairs. Great stay - even with the shower issue.

Front desk help was very nice. Hallways smelled like a combination of mold and cigarette smoke. Rooms smelled moldy. Our room was not very clean. I know they had cleaned it because the floor was still damp from being mopped. Towels were old and not white. Bed clothes were old. Permanent stains on the sheets. Bedcovers old. Lampshades were stained with what looked like blood. There was a mouse bait box by the dresser. There were long black hairs stuck to the walls of the shower. The fabric bath mat for outside the tub had permanent stains. The rubber mat for inside the tub was covered in mold stains. Toilet paper holder was missing. Exterior pane of double window was broken and had tape on it. The light switches and areas around door handles were grimey. Our TV control did not work. We didn’t try their breakfast due to our observations of lack of attention to cleanliness. Parking lot was littered. Would never stay there again.

The photos online are misleading; this hotel no longer resembles the images shown. The rooms are outdated, and the entire building reeks of smoke and other unpleasant odors. ||Our first room had torn bedding with cigarette burns, a broken lamp shade, and a strong smell of smoke. There was no coffee maker provided. After requesting a change, the second room also smelled heavily of smoke, making it difficult to sleep and causing breathing issues. The beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The fridge was old and noisy, and I had to wedge a fabric bag underneath it just to reduce the sound.||Noise was a constant issue throughout our stay, with guests yelling and being disruptive in the hallways. The drawers inside the room were filthy, containing ashes and crumbs. Although this room had a coffee maker, the sugar and condiment packets were opened and missing items. ||The complimentary breakfast was disappointing, offering only cereal, one type of bread, and waffles with syrup, no protein options or additional toppings. While labeled “complimentary,” it’s clearly factored into the room price and falls far below expectations.||The bathroom was poorly stocked, with only two small towels and minimal toiletries. Shampoo, soap, and other essentials were provided in very limited quantities, suggesting cost-cutting measures. Overall, the experience was far from comfortable or welcoming.||I will definitely not stay at this hotel again.

Staff was so awesome. Room was clean and satisfactory. The place can use a bit of a face lift. I also agree with other posters, the beds are pretty soft. Budget hotel with great staff!

Google
bedbugs!!! seriously unreal. room was just under $300 for one night, two queen sized beds which is pretty steep but I figured it was on me for not planning ahead and I really didn't feel like driving anymore so I said whatever. room was pretty dirty, there were stains on the towels and the toilet paper was clearly left over from the previous guests. I joked with the person I was staying with that we would've maybe been better off seeing if the homeless shelter had any beds available, and that was before we found the bed bugs! in the morning we discovered engorged bedbugs on the sheets meaning we were bit in our sleep. man at the front desk (who was very polite and gave me garbage bags to quarantine my belonings) offered to refund the room charge of $50 and told me i could get 25% off my next stay at this location; respectfully, no. I would've liked 100% off this stay. after having the room charge taken off my final payment was supposed to $248, but when I checked my credit statement I was charged $348! I have no idea where this additional $100 comes from, we absolutely did not trash the room or leave it worse than we found it. I am having a hell of a time trying to dispute this with Super 8 customer care and through Visa. Save yourself the trouble and check for a place to stay under the nearest highway overpass before you consider staying here. Edit: the additional $100 seems to have been removed, but I am still working with Visa and Super 8 Customer Care about my charges. I've had to throw out several belongings and have been spending ages cleaning my belongings.

Yelp
It was an okay hotel for the price Room and bathroom were clean My only complaints: One of the stairwells smelled like.... An outhouse And the breakfast! The waffle machine was covered in waffle batter because the cup that was provided was too big so people filled it up and overflowed the machine Garbage from breakfast on the counter in the lobby Workers were there not bothering to clean it up Also not affecting my review, but the layout of the building is so odd

Yelp
I booked a room. I was in a car accident and phoned to cancel. They refused my cancellation and charged me for one night because I did not cancel through the web site. The accident was on Wednesday. The reservation was for Thursday night. I was discharged from the hospital on Sunday

Yelp
I give it a minus 11. Thanks Super 8 for all the help with the price gouging incident in Sudbury. My daughter and her new born and Gramma were travelling home. 20 hours in a car with a new born. I'm sure most mothers can relate this is not the greatest trip to take. Feeding and changing constantly. Well they stopped for the night and needed a well deserved rest. 328$ ‍. I complained about it and head quarters said they will get to the bottom of it. Because they only see a charge of $128 so where did the rest of the money go to? Here is the polite response. Hi Scott., Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Rest assured, I have shared your experience with the management of the property under reference number 4607638. Yelp
If I could give this hotel 0 stars, I would. This review is very late (it is now June and we were there in February) but I was on the app so I figured I should catch up. I went with my boyfriend and service dog as we were moving from Ontario to Manitoba (a 24 hour drive). The front staff seemed bored with us and shoved us into a pet friendly room. Seeing as my dog is well groomed, trained to not get on beds in hotels and the law that says that hotels can not charge pet fees for service dogs, this was disappointing in itself. The hallways were dimly lit and dirty. The room itself looked like it had not been vacuumed. The shower leaked like crazy, soaking my dogs harness which we needed for the next day. The towel bar in the bathroom fell out of the wall, and it was obvious it had done that many times before, so I just stuck it back up to avoid getting charged for that. Luckily my dog is trained with a strong leave it as there were bits of food between one of the beds and the wall. There were stains on the walls that definitely looked like blood. The appliances were dirty and could use to have been replaced. There were dogs barking and loud people in the hallway all night. The parking lot was also gross. Over all, I would not recommend this hotel, especially if you are travelling with a dog, service dog or not. We will never be returning and for sure will not be supporting Super 8 motels from now on.

Yelp
Stayed here well moving a family member into residence for university and was given a "pet friendly room" (we were traveling with our dog). I use the quotes because there were a few issues with calling it that. A- it was on the second floor no where near a exit to take him out easily. B- there was no accommodations in the room for a pet. C- Garbage wasn't fully picked up so my dog also got sick on a Tim hortons bag. The room wasn't very clean, the toilet seat wasn't attached to the toilet. The hotel was under construction and the people working there were up late have a little party right near our window. The halls reeked of weed and cigarettes. I wanted to get a simple drink and all three vending machines were broken so I lost money in them, both ice machines were broken too. The stay was so bad we left a day early not wanting another night there.

Yelp
For a 120 dollar/night hotel, I had no issues. The place was clean. Had one room out of the five nights I stayed there that had a bit of a funk -- but overall no issues. Didn't partake in the continental breakfast, so I can't speak to that, but no matter which floor I was on, the wifi was strong. All the front desk were super nice and if i have to stay in Sudbury for awhile longer.... I'll be back.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed are stay at Super 8 in Sudbury. The room was quiet and clean. The person at the front desk was helpful and friendly. And they offer 24 hour coffee - caf and decaf! :) Very good location at the 4 corners.

Yelp
Despite other reviews which convinced us this would be a semi-decent place to stay for an night we found otherwise. If I could rate this 0 stars I would. We got to the room and immediately noticed a horrendous smell. We found mold on the ceiling from obvious water damage and the outlet by the bed was hanging out of the wall. MUSHROOMS we're growing out of the wall by the stairs just outside our room, if you ask me that is a serious health concern. We immediately found a new place to stay and left, not feeling comfortable staying in the room or leaving our dog there. The only reason why I would ever possibly rate this more than 0 stars is the fact that the man working upfront gave us a full refund (as he should) and that it was dog friendly. Don't spend your money here when you can find a nicer hotel down the road for a little more.

Yelp
This was such a nice place to stay the night. It was clean, the decor was updated, and they had a free breakfast (though we were unable to eat it becuase we didn't get up in time). I would stay here again and recommend it to others.
